Hey guys. Talchyon here.

I want to encourage you to try out being involved in a comedy RP. I know, most times comedy RPs are not your standard kind of RP and so the writing is not what you may be familiar with.

That said, I have been involved in a bunch of comedy RPs and I can say that most writers are funnier than they think. I have seen a lot of first time comedy writers who tried it, and found that they were actually really good..

So give it a try. And while we're at it, there is a new comedy RP up and running. The Infinites:The Dork Knight is accepting apps. And who knows? You too might have a knack for this kind of writing that you just didn't know you had.
The Clockwork Circus - Welcome to a steampunk RP rife with crime, gangs, beggars, and starting off as the lowest of the low, in the lowest socio-economic place there is.

What's the RP series about?

Magical superhumans in a Napoleonic setting fight anti-magic Nazi cults, demons, and try to find a kidnapped love interest.

Man, I never thought it would be so hard to find information on how big rat colonies can get. Is it 2? Is it 200? I don't know! D:

I couldn't find a maximum. I found a specific website saying females in a colony range from 2-6, but that's at low population density. From what I gathered individual colonies stay at that 2-6 range, but there can be a lot of them close together.

Yeah, that was one of the sites I found. It didn't impress me. So, I just made up my own numbers. Family (2-8), Colony (20-100), and Plague (200-1000). I pity the players who try fighting 1000 rats at a time. :p

Well the largest rat king documented consisted of 32 rats, so I'm assuming there were probably 4x that number for so many rats to tie the knot.

Iḿ thinking of doing it similar to Ace Combat: Broken Line

A mercenary band, maybe in the same universe as Ace Combat

Maybe not

Why let that stop you?

Eroris is practically Elder Scrolls but it keeps going and growing.

Heck, there is this RP setting called Equalia that is perhaps literrally MLP:FiM but with Elves, Humans, and Wizards rather then Peguses, Ponies, and Unicorns.

These types of settings permit and RP to attract more then the fan base it's based on as players tend to get nervous stepping into something they are unfamiliar with and typically if an RP is set in a world from a game or book players may bicker over what is and isn't viable in the setting. Thus a reflection/stand in version of the setting that doesn't need to address alternate history scenarios does rather well.

Magic the Gathering recently killed off my favorite, and my brother's favorite characters and is starting a new batch of planswalkers. It's in that situation right now where a lot of the characters are now dead and it feels a bit like a reset as the game returns to the first plane (the plane the first series of cards was set in). So if your idea is like MTG I say go for it regardless due to the situation MTG is in and the success of other reflection/stand in RPs.
