Hmm, I got a question, isn't it okay to include fantasy elements in Alt. History RPs?

If the OP says its allowed. Though I'd imagine unless the OP has made it a fantasy alt history rp the answer would be no.

Cool. Well, I've been thinking of doing FanT Alt. history RPs for some time. I have several ideas but can't settle for one. Not to mention, which plots to go for aside from adventures. :P

Too bad. Was hoping it is more like universal family ancestry search engine.

That's the nicest thing anyone could probably do for me.

And the most foolish. Nobody wants me in the same afterlife as them. Least of all God.

It will be nice of there's a universal family ancestry search engine. But not every cultures and people have surnames as much as folks in Western countries. In my country of birth, we don't have fixed surnames until now.

Today's the anniversary of the death of perhaps the only direct embodiment of Latinity, Gabriele D'Annunzio.

Famed poet, revolutionary, drug addict, and scumbag (from firing on his own troops to allowing innocent soldiers to be executed).

Not even in Western countries. It's a fairly recent thing in Scandinavia too. Sure, proper family surnames have existed for very long here too, but it was imported from continental Europe, and the use of patronymics was still the norm for very long.

Reading about Bismarck, I wouldn't be surprised if a conversation between him and Wilhelm went:

"Gee Otto, what do you want to do today?"
"The same thing we do every night Billy, try to take over the world."

Look how it turns out for the Second Reich afterwards. Wilhelm was prolly made a worst decision to dismissed Bismark as an chancellor, things didn't turned out right for Imperial Germany.

Reading history of the world can be fascinating in more way than one. You could learned many things from it including countries and cultures you've never heard of. It can be a real eye-opener. On other hand, a friend of mine once said this 'travelling is a greatest education'.

Don't anyone felt this way?

I just realized that I've been on this forum for 5 years now.

This adequately sums up how I feel.

NS is never a waste. I think I've learned more about writing, history, geopolitics, etc from it than anything else over the years.

Well, believe or not, I've been on NS for more than 5 years now. It's not a waste, I've been learning a lot about writing, history, geopolitics and other stuff from my time in NS. If it wasn't for NS, I wouldn't know many things.

You need to start making cheese or sumthin'. At least the taste of the cheese is better than the salt in your mouth you get from NS.
