To anyone who likes playing video-games, what are your favourite genres?

Mine are Real-Time-Strategies especially those which allows you to build your own empires and such. Other than that, I like First-Person-shooters like Halo, Call of Duty and Battlefield series.

RTS, Sandbox, turn-based, and FPS. Also, choice-based games.

First-Person/Third-Person Survival. Rust has been taking up all of my time now.

Yeah, that would be interesting. Though most complex rp's tend to fall apart due to inactivity (Norv's Border Reivers, Rup's Fate/Stay Night, etc.)

A lot has to do with interest, to be honest. Once interest dies, it's hard for the OP to keep interest as well. I know. I'm suffering from it at all times. Of course, there are also real life issues to deal with, like a job and family.

Most of my favorite people have either become inactive or don't post as frequently as they used to (Const, Agritum, Rup, and Zark) which kind of further lessens the ties I already held for the forum.
