[P2TM Chat] The Restaurant at the End of the Multiverse III

I am currently the OP of as far as I know, the longest running active comedy RP on P2TM. It's called "The Infinites: The Lamest Heroes". We started in early October last year and are still going. The premise is a superhero team that is like the 9th or 10th greatest, made up of extremely lame heroes with D-level powers, who are out to save the day. What is a D-level power, you ask? Here are some of the not so amazing abilities that are found in NPCs and PCs in the RP so far.

• Shooting calculators that come from an alternate dimension where there are only calculators and calculator generators.
• Manipulating tea into various things. And not being able to create tea, but just to use the amount that the character has in his thermos.
• Animating origami. Mostly paper airplanes.
• Shoulders that heat up enough to inflate hot air balloons. The guy has motion by a portable fan that blows him where he needs to go.
• Causing random anvils to fall out of the sky (can't aim them) every time the guy tells a pun. He's called "The PUN-isher".
• A technology wizard whose crowning achievement is a cannon that can shoot kittens out of.
• I think you get the idea.

Anyway, we're always up for new characters. It doesn't matter to me how much background and experience you have. The point is just to have some laughs. Right now, the guys are ending up a big fight, and then chapter 2 is going to come to an end. Chapter 3 will be starting soon. And while it will wrap up a lot of loose ends and question marks from the 1st two chapters, anyone new is welcomed to join even if you don't know the history. We can fill you in pretty quick.

It's also an RP that is PG rated instead of PG-13. No profanity allowed. Partly because it makes us better writers. Partly because you don't see any real profanity in comic books. Partly because good humor shouldn't need it. And I just don't like it, either.

You'd be welcome to come back or create a new character. We're about ready to start chapt. 3 and there will be at least one new hero who just applied. You'd fit right in.

I hear it's an issue some get upset about. I personally don't find it upsetting and am thus unprepared for any backlash nor can I think of any. I wrote an entire article on President Assad and just feel the US entered on the wrong side. I still don't know why we financed the rebels.

What I mean is that I'd get involved on the Syrian side. I can't see myself supporting ISIS.

This is a role playing forum, if someone is "offended" they can just move right along and not participate. Your allowed to do historical/alt history/alt future RPs all you want. No where does it say "you can't if someone is unreasonably."

Regarding open RPs, I may be interpreting your post erroneously, but it seems you have a different notion of "open" than the one generally used here. In P2TM an RP is open if it accepts new players, who go through an application process in a roleplay's out of character thread (generally indicated by a big OOC on the title); doesn't really mean you can just jump in and start roleplaying, though. Like I said, I may be misinterpreting so if you already knew this, nevermind me.

LOL, that's OK, every so often someone will poke their head in where it doesn't belong in the NS World Cup or another RP there. NS Sports doesn't like it, either. (Hence my interest in starting off the right way here.) As mentioned I've taken a few read-only strolls here and there and don't mind the reminder as there could be others reading to decide if they want to join as well.

The RP is currently a settlement RP- try to find some trailers for a TV show called 'Terra Nova' to get an idea of where the RP currently is. Right now a camp is being established. The RP is still one page long in the IC so you should be able to get fully associated with recent events.

I'm sure an RP like Eroris might also interest them, especially since there's only a small amount of lore to learn, and the world is pretty much a sandbox only with basic rules such as "don't godmod or metagame".
