The fleet had enough luck to sail for three separate days. Punic Sicily has enough farmland to sustain the soldiers for three more months and supplies are being sent. It's better to attack a weakened Syracuse during winter than to attack them during spring. We're trying to starve them by sea and besiege them by land.
