"Oh, I've just been looking forever to find a good model for Valen, and it was so hard, and then you walked in and my brain started screaming at me, so... I took a picture... I hope you don't mind..."

A model? Nico never really cared about his appearance (except that he likes black), but his cheeks did turn a little red at her comment. This casued him to completely forget why he was even paranoid or upset with the girl.

"W-whose Valen?" He asked.

Her face lit up. "I'm so glad you asked!" She pulled a piece of paper out of her bag. On it was a poorly-drawn sketch of a boy who held a certain resemblance to Nico. "I know I'm a terrible artist, but... this is Valen. He's one of my characters for a story I'm writing, the main character actually, he's a ghost, see, and he's trying to get his murderer exposed and punished so he can rest in peace. You know, ghost stuff... a little cliched but at least it's not portraying him as evil or whatever like most ghosts are these days, I mean come on, what about being dead makes you evil?"

Her hand was cold. Not just normal cold, but cold. Actually, if anyone had taken her temperature, it would have registered as nine degrees.

'Sup Marius, how you been?" Belvina asked the auburn haired boy as he sat down next to her. They were both sea creatures, with the natural beauty and thrall of their species since sirens and mermaids belonged to the same family. Sirens had the problem though of being beautiful to anybody who looked and that made it difficult to find true partners.
