I never said you couldn't do it. I was just pointing out that there's no point to having it.

Name/Alias: Daud | Agent of Ultra

Gender: Male

Age: 25

Appearance:
Image
Image

Species: Metahuman

Backstory:
Daud was born in Morocco without a surname, as is the tradition in his family, and lived there for some of his early life. At an age were young children were prone to bruises, cuts, scraps, and the like, it was discovered that Daud would heal from his injuries rapidly, and overall become tougher as a result. His parents didn't know the repercussions of such a discovery, so they asked their family doctor for advice. That doctor in turn alerted the authorities, and Daud was taken from his home by the government. Rather than experiment on him, the Moroccan government wanted to educate and train the youth, and began to do so. Only a few years later and Daud was chosen to enroll in the Charles Xavier Institute in America, arriving in the country at only seven.

These formulative years were tough on Daud as he adapted to the different culture, language, and customs of the West as he wrangled with his powers. As he learned and grew more confident, Daud found getting friends was easier than he realized, and that his abilities were not something to be ashamed of, and would remember his time with the Institute fondly as he grew older. As Daud became a teenager, he decided against joining the X-Men, seeking to travel the world and try his luck at being a "real hero", yet in his angsty quest, he found that heroism was in no short supply, and grew bitter at his perceived inability to do good. A rising market for young superhumans, though, was mercenary work, and Daud got his share by establishing the Ultra Corps at nineteen.

For six years, the organization grew and prospered, becoming a fearsome and potent force in the Third and Second Worlds, who suffered from a lack of superhumans due to their constant flight to Western countries. Ultra was clean, but did many government's dirty work, and thus was seen as a blemish on the reputation of superheroes and superhero teams, which would bring Daud into conflict with the Avengers, Justice League, and even the X-Men at times. The Ultra Corps had technological and biological (superhuman) advantages that many countries lacked, and their affordability made them the most popular choice for mercenary work.

Daud and his organization were given a job by a wealthy, anonymous buyer, which was to invade and topple the reigning government of Madworld - itself alienated from support due to it's position against the Worldwide Metahuman Registration Act. Daud assumed the backer was from the United States Government, who would then sweep in and place a pro-Registration dictator on Madworld's throne. They paid handsomely, and Daud went to work - launching his invasion of Madworld and nearly destroying the island in the process. His defeat of Maxwell Morningstar did not signal the end of the Mad King, though, as the Ultra Corps had been annihilated while the two leaders fought. Not only that, but realizing this was the manipulation of Doctor Doom, Daud formally surrendered to the Forever King. A political prisoner for a short time, he and Max grew to respect one another, leading to Daud's release. Left without his signature organization and a budding friendship with Mad Max, Daud is set to rebuild the Ultra Corps under a more heroic banner, with Max providing him with several Parahuman recruits to that end.

Powers and Abilities:
  • Superior Adaptation/Adaptive Regeneration: Perhaps Daud's greatest and most powerful ability, he can adapt and repair himself when facing nearly any situation, allowing him to become stronger or faster to meet a challenge, or even develop a power or nullification to ensure his own survival. The limits of this power is currently unknown.
  • Supernatural Condition: Insanely powerful and the result of his years of constant adaption, Daud is immensely strong, fast, and enduring in even the most trying of situations. He can punch with the best of them, and take fatal hits easily, only to keep on moving and adapting, each hit against him only making him stronger as a result.
  • Tactical Analysis: Daud has been shown to be a master strategist and tactician, a power he himself did not know he possessed, but more than likely developed it as a side-effect of his adaption powers. His plans are able to take into account multiple scenarios, adapt to changes, and plan things to the very last detail. He is one of the reasons for the Ultra Corps' major successes throughout it's existence, as his mind is always on the move, and it drives him to stay multiple steps ahead of any potential opponent, not just current ones.

Weaknesses:
  • An attack that Daud is unable to adapt against will eventually kill him.
  • Daud can be harmed physically, but death is seeming like a further and further option as his abilities progress.
  • Magic is still unknown to Daud. He has the smallest immunity of any powers to magic, meaning he would be rather fucked against a Magic User.
  • Quick, rushed fights can be his undoing if the opponent is of greater power than he is, as he won't have time to adapt.
  • Anti-Regenerative weaponry or powers can hinder his regeneration, and thus adaption.
  • Stronger, Faster, and more Intelligent Opponents can best him. Every man's weakness!

Destructive Capacity: Planetary

Speed: [*]FTL (x100)

Durability: Planetary | Regeneration

Lifting Strength: Class Z

Striking Strength: Class NJ

Stamina: Nearly Infinite

Standard Equipment:
  • Ultra Corps Power Armor: A state of the art exo-suit developed by UC's R&D wing, it allows a normal human to adjust to high caliber foes and fight at or near their level. Daud wears one for solitary with the Corps, and he likes the overall look.

Intelligence: Impressively talented and sound, Daud is potent tactical and logical force mentally, but he lacks technical knowledge and abilities of that nature. Not only that, but Daud is more laid back, rather than proactive with his intellect. Many who know of him suspect that he isn't using his brain to his absolute fullest, leading to his smarts routinely being questioned. He is no scientist nor an inventor, he's more of a soldier and a general in regards to intelligence.

Random Facts:
  • Return of the Mac

Name/Alias: Sora-El

Gender: Female

Age: 24

Appearance:
Image

Species: Kryptonian

Backstory:
A daughter of Krypton, Sora-El was born and raised in the City of Kandor, but managed to escape using Kryptonian Crystals present within the city years before it's enlargement by Xander. Sora grew accustomed to Earth and her culture, gaining an immense respect and wonder at it's natural processes. Sora's story is mostly that of a travelling Kryptonian, doing good where she can, until she met the omnious forces of the Ultra Corps, and it's leader, Daud. She became a foil to their efforts time and time again, developing a hero-villain relationship between herself and Daud at times. But, a spark was born within the heart of the Corps' leader, and when Sora disappeared, he began a manhunt to find her.

Going off of a tip and a prophecy, Daud and his Ultra Corps invaded a mystical realm, spearheading a charge directly into Hell - where Daud believed Sora had been taken after her disappearance. Finding her in the clutches of Neron, Daud was prepared to fight for Sora's freedom, an act that shocked and surprised her, but Neron would not fight. HE offered Daud a deal, as he was known to do, and that was his soul in exchange for Sora-El's. Without a moment of hesitation, Daud agreed, and ordered his Corps to take her back to Earth. Neron gleefully took Daud's soul, leaving Sora-El in tears as she was removed from Hell, leaving Daud in her place. As his soul left, though, Daud gambled with his adaption power, and won out as his very soul adapted to resist being attacked. Enraged, Neron demanded Sora-El's return, but Daud taunted him, asking the Demon Lord if he'd like for others to know there was a soul he couldn't take - Dauds. He made another deal, to never bother Daud or Sora, in exchange for Daud's silence on the matter.

As Sora returned to Earth forever grateful at the motion her nemesis had done, to give his own life for hers without so much as a blink, and she felt a pain of guilt. She was about to fly away from the Corpsmen to mourn for Daud, when the bastard himself reappeared, having tricked the devil himself out of his nigh-immortal soul. Sora latched herself onto him, crying into his shoulder, and the foundation for the two's relationship being laid. Though she didn't agree with Ultra, she cared for Daud, and knew he kept the organization running as cleanly as possible, and would make attempts to reduce the amoral aspects of UC at Sora's insistence. Never apart of Ultra, she was simply there for Daud, and politely ignored his "day job" as Commander of the Corps.

Powers and Abilities:
  • Kryptonian Abilities: Being from Krypton, Sora can utilize the Photonucleic Effect to empower herself and her cells to superhuman levels, and unlock a host of additional powers not present under the light of a red sun. Those include all that's listed there, with Sora-El having Black Light Vision instead of Heat Vision.

Weaknesses:
  • Kryptonian Weaknesses: Sora has virtually the same weaknesses as any Kryptonian, so it's nothing too special.

Destructive Capacity: Planetary

Speed: FTL (x100)

Durability: Small Planet

Lifting Strength: Class E

Striking Strength: Class Y

Standard Equipment: N/A

Intelligence: Very astute and understanding, Sora is incredibly hard to trick or manipulate, but lacks the battle prowess and technical smarts of most others in her superpower weight class. She's not stupid, not by a long shot, most of her actions and decisions are just made in the heat of the moment and can come off as poorly thought out in the long run. Though, when she can analyze a situation, Sora is able to clearly connect the dots and make a rational decision.

Optional Stuff

Theme Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aYiiGd3PZc

Name/Alias: Dapp | Olympian

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Appearance:
Image

Species: Olympian

Backstory:
I'm not gonna waste your time here, Dapp is a jerk and will always be a jerk and an asshole. He was born on Olympus but kicked out for being a straight dick 101% of the time. He is supposed to be the reincarnation of the Titan of Power. I'm not lazy, Dapp is just that terrible of a character.

Powers:
  • Greek God Physiology: As Dapp is an Olympian, his powers are the main subset, including Supernatural Condition (which itself includes Strength, Speed, Intelligence, and the like), Flight, and Regenerative Healing Factor. These are even more potent given his implied status as "reincarnation of power".
  • Ergokinetic Combat: Able to manipulate his own almost inexhaustible energy, Dapp is able to bring forth incredible, awesome power at a moment's notice, turning a simple fight into a planet-busting slugfest.
  • Power Fists/Power Kicks: Dapp is able to channel tremendous, inhuman amounts of speed, mass, and velocity into his strikes to make them earth-shatteringly effective.

Weaknesses:
  • Bombastic personality can be corrosive on team efforts
  • Can have his energy sapped or leeched, or came be goaded into using too much of it.
  • A more powerful or stronger opponent can overpower Dapp. He doesn't have much other things besides that power.
  • Loss of energy is almost a death sentence for the Olympian.

Destructive Capacity: Lower Stellar

Speed: FTL (x100)

Durability: Star Level

Lifting Strength: Class Y

Striking Strength: Class XMJ

Standard Equipment: N/A

Intelligence: Flat out stupid and illogical, Dapp is the extremist form of Brawn over Brains, as his massive strength and power is offset but his unruly personality and his dumber-than-a-sack-of-bricks intellect. Daud puts up with him because of his usefulness to the Ultra Corps and his ability to take orders, but otherwise, Dapp is a menace and a worthless, braindead, pile of trash scumfuck bastard who should be gunned down in the street.

I legitimately laughed my ass off listening to that.

We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? It's just... those forced "anime voices" are so cringe inducingly bad.

Max talks slow, with a deep and loud voice at times. Daud is low but fast, with some partial accent making it's way through. Otto was refined and smooth, articulate - one of the reasons Xala liked him so much was the way he talked. Val is medium pitched and a bit harsh, Mir is gruff and passionate when he speaks.

I have a general idea of what my guys sound like. I'm not going to hunt down voice actors, though...

Maybe elements of that voice could be applied, perhaps only the echo, but other than that, Alastir is meant to have a dark and baritone voice.

Michael Ironside. But the problem is that Alastir is too... Emotional to have that kind of voice. He's always shouting and screaming.

I'm going to be honest. From what you've shown of him, he behaves like an angry teenager. Kylo Ren is a very accurate comparison.

You want him to come across as someone like Darkseid. Dark. Cold. In control. Calm even when he's losing. Alastir throws a hissy fit when he's losing.

Whoever played Palpatine in the new Clone Wars? Has that finesse you want to capture with Alastir, while being ominous, and emotional at times.

At the end, yes, but that was simply a ploy to make it appear that he was enraged about the Galaxy being destroyed, he was selling the deception off. At the beginning, he was calm as can be, surely that must mean something.

...Even then, though, a true chessmaster as you want to portray Alastir would feign disinterest in the events. You never see Darkseid throw a fit, even if it's for pretend and part of a lager scheme. Something along the lines of, "My galaxy, gone? Then I have no more things holding me back. You've done me a service, human." Even if he's internally screaming and all sorts of pissed off.
