Using a map of Kievan Rus' between 1015-1113 I've basically drawn the Kievan Rus but with a bit more territory in the south and less enclaves where Stalingrad is for no reason. 1892 Kievan Rus would basically just be Russia but it never had the motivation to move eastwards for x reason.

I honesty though, you are likely either going to want to nom commonwealth or rus territories

Commonwealth territories might be more appealing, there's Poles and Estonians plus whatever ethnic groups you want to throw in there that would fight back but the land there is already developed at least.

There are cases of abuse of where players came out with crazy ass nations that would hardly make any sense at a realistic standpoint. I mean, as long as we take possibility into mind, I wouldn't be too opposed to it

Some of the Mongol talk reminded me of an old idea I had for a Mongol wank roleplay where they destroy the Dehli Sultanate in it's infancy and take India, possibly take Japan or set up some kind of govt in Kyushu, the Levant and like most of Eastern Europe. Bit ASB I know but could be fun.

still deciding whether to deal with converting Estonian/Poles/Latvians/Lithuanians/Ukrainians to the proper culture or just colonizing the East with Cossacks tbh, might want to go east despite the tundra

I would suggest going East, there's a lot more than just tundra out there. Plenty of sparsely populated land perfect for farming. Just watch out for the occasional Mongol. Personally I think a Cossack empire or republic would be more interesting than a Kieven Rus. I'm still trying to decide what to do myself.
