You could put a spin on it. Or we could just do one in Russia. ;)

One in Russia would be sort of interesting, I just don't know too much about its politics. I'd be more interested in an RP set in modern America. I like the Rhodesia idea but with them being embargoed by everybody it'd be unlikely if the outcome was different.

Not that trope. Id rather do one in Russia or something.

A well-done Second American Civil War type scenario set in the modern day, with the rest of the world also carefully built and the civil war/conflict properly set up, might actually be interesting.

Also, Elepis and I are working on an RP tentatively dated to 1895 that may be interesting- we're planning on having it be set on the eve of a global conflict.

So I am pursuing the Second US Civil War idea, I'm going to call the RP 2018:A House Divided. It's going to be set in a world where after the 2016 presidential election Hillary wins by a slight margin. Trump refuses to recognize the results and sue Hillary, taking the case all the way to the Supreme Court. He claims that Hillary rigged the election and urges his supporters to not recognize the results. Here is a timeline of the events so far:

Nov. 9: Trump denounces election results, calls them “questionable,” vows to “take this to the Supreme Court and beyond.”
Nov. 12: Pennsylvania and Virginia decline to entertain Trump suits contesting narrow Clinton victories.
Nov. 13:Trump calls election results “illegitimate.”
Nov. 18: Governors of Arizona and Texas question election results.
Nov. 20: Louisiana, Georgia, and Mississippi say they want to review election numbers.
Nov. 22: North Carolina begins throwing out votes from majority black counties.
Dec. 8: Trump announces plans for a “Two-million-person march on Washington” to coincide with the planned inauguration.
Dec. 14: Several Idaho counties say they “cannot legally recognize the authority of so-called President-elect Clinton.” By inauguration day, the majority of rural counties (but not population) in 13 states have issued similar statements.
Dec. Jan 20: President Clinton’s inaugural address is drowned out by the revving of thousands of motorcycles around the Capitol. The black-clad riders call themselves the “American Restoration Militia,” or ARM.
Jan. 22: The federal courthouse in Dallas is bombed.
Jan. 24: In Wichita, ARM occupies the U.S. courthouse, the U.S. Internal Revenue building, and the U.S. General Services Administration building. Kansas State Police decline to remove them.
Jan. 25: Clinton nationalizes Kansas National Guard.
Jan. 27: Some 40 percent of the Kansas National Guard soldiers decline to mobilize. Trump applauds them, and encourages ARM militias “to follow these heroes.”
Jan. 28: The Army removes the commanding general of the Kansas National Guard when he says “as a matter of conscience I cannot compel soldiers to violate their own consciences.” The brigadier general then crosses picket lines and joins the “Occupy Hillary” protestors in the Wichita federal courthouse.
Jan. 29: Supreme Court rejects all Trump suits.
Feb. 1: A federal judge’s car is bombed in Birmingham, Alabama.
Feb. 4: South Carolina announces a state convention to consider “our future relationship with the federal government.”

From that date onward you have complete freedom to dictate what does and doesn't happen. The RP will begin on January First, 2018. This will be a nation RP, try to make your nations logical and plausible. I will not accept large sprawling nations, only small fragmented states. I will make and post an application soon. Let me know if anyone is interested. I may put off this RP for awhile as there are already some others in the works and I'm really pumped for that 1885 AH RP.

Edit:Another title that I just came up with is "The Flames of November", let me know your thoughts.

Color me interested. Id probably be some militia group of paranoid Appalacian hillbillies that grows in numbers as the Federal govt. struggles to keep things together, assuming it's possible, probably mid-late stage if I ain't a guerrlia force fighting Feds in the mountains still I might form a sperate nation.

Whadya mean dozens? I've always taken pride in how stable British history has been compared to the rest of the world. I think the English Revoltuion (from Civil War to Glorious Revolution) was not as devastating as the American civil war anyway.

But yeah, if the British still ruled America Trump wouldn't have become a thing. Vote for the American Monarchist Party!

Non were as devastating as ACW, but we had loads in the Middle Ages that could be called civil wars. The War of the Roses, Baron's Revolts I & 2, The Anarchy, Revolt of 1173–74, Despenser War, Glyndŵr Rising, Cornish Rebellion of 1497, Prayer Book Rebellion, Jacobite rising of 1715, Jacobite rising of 1745 as well as various stuff in Ireland.

We had it pretty good compared to mainland Europe at least. The most telling sign of stability in modern Europe is whether a country still has its monarchy (fine we lost it, but we found it again :p )

AN IDEA HAS APPEARED.

So, basically, what I was thinking is that a bunch of RP groups get together and attempt to create the best RP in the Multiverse. Basically, a game jam, except an RP Jam.

If you're interested, reply to this post or get with me in TG's.

What mean.

A well thought out complete alternate history RP starting in like 3000 BCE with custom nations.

Basically History of Man/whatever but basically shunning the real world.

Gunpowder in the Bronze Age? Technically possible, do you have enough alchemists? Sure, go ahead. It's not like you'll be able to do more than weak bombards with your bronze anyway.

Etc.

I'm gonna reflect on RH in a bit.

It's not like crop rotation is a new concept to me, but only upon reading that did I consider the genius of agriculture on giant spinning platforms.

Not sure that'll work on Elepis considering he dislikes (from what I've observed):
A: Nationalism
