To be perfectly clear the Hellenic Republic is staying neutral in the American Mexican War and instead were liberating the Byzantine Colonies that we border since I believe they have sent some large force through the Caribbean to fight the American Imperium which should leave their colonies considerably less defended than usual?

Edit: Considering our shared Greek Heritage and everything else that we share in common, I think if this conflict should escalate that the closure of Hellenic and Byzantine Markets to each other would be painful to both sides.

The Byzantines are fighting to maintain a southern offensive, a Mexican offensive, leaving a colony who just pledged major support open to rebels, and fighting the French... only to be fighting France and Austria... while France is fighting to take Normandy, and Sicily is fighting to end slavery.

More or less..... Sicily's official reason for invading will be to defend "her allies and the glory of her allies" but the Sicilians will expect some land as compensation

What I'd probably do was have the marriage proposed, with an imperial princess (eldest with no sons) marry the shogun, then have the emperor of China die. Or just bring both China and Japan and both lands under the rulers hip of a greater Shogun/Emperor. Not sure yet, but I'm feeling the megalomania that will lead to my destruction.

Without the Chinese Emperor and no one to hold the Mandate of Heaven in the eyes of politicians, there will be fracturing. Might need to bring up another Nobunaga and gets his Ambition.

About 50% of the force is from the homeland. And I wouldn't try 'liberating'. They are practically their own government. I am sure invading us will just practically give me another colony. I'd recommend staying neutral
