Well, considering that Byzantine got the numbers and weapons to show off his arrogance, we did tell him that he could lose.

Also, it's just Mexico talking. They can lose just as easy if I wanted to attack the Gulf, raid any of their ports, or just be the causal pirate and prey on the supply lines.

If needed, I can send a force large enough to just force America out of the war. But I am not dedicating a few centuries worth of work and building up to slaughter some americans.

I want to to have a system ready to put into place... or I will have food riots in every city and the entire Imperium come crashing down in a civil race war. You free the slaves immediatly... then you just leave room for race war... so the an occupation force would be dealing with an internal civil race war, and the Imperium forces that would be fighting, so most of the occupation forces would need to be fighting the Imperium troops.... and leaving the blacks and whites to kill eachother... so the freed men would be dying and the whites rage growing.... brillant plan you all have

So Imperium Plan:
Already stopped slavery import
Already raised living standards
Already ordered no more beatings of slaves
Already giving freedom to entire slave families (father-mother and children) if the husband/father joins the Imperium army
Begin the creation of farms for former slaves to work for fixed rates only adjustable by the government.
Pay off for all the slaves to their owners and purchase them for the Dept. of Black Labor
Begin working the farms growing foods so they can eat through the winter
Found black-only towns(actually equal to whites) and form schools for them
Open up seats in the Senatorial Council
Have Imperium troops protecting the peace
Issue freedom papers to all slaves
Hold elections for the Senatorial Council

Brillant strategy... how you plan to feed these people? The Imperiums fields are burnt remember? So dont be counting on the Imperiums former farms to be supplying this food? And the ports are being block-aided so no food is coming in by sea. So the Mexican nation will have to feed these new citizens... all of you occupiers will. So. Their is that. Now, do you let the Imperium is ensure the peaceful transition, or do you let them die and starve.

I've never seen Mexico, or I have from San Diego, but never crossed the border. Does that mean I'm not half Mexican from my fathers side? No, I'm half Mexican. Now as for slaves, give them to me. I got plenty of land in California and New Mexico which could use some populating and alongside fellow freed slaves in Mexico. And how have you raised living standards when thou are at war, and you just mentioned a lack of food partly sea blockade partly burning fields, of which you are forgetting cotton fields, your bargaining chip with France.

I will gladly send you back into the sea. You can not support an invasion for long. You ships need to return to get supplies... or kill your colony by feeding those troops... pirates, and Imperium ships wreaking havoc to supply ships... as other warships would need to be keeping the entire Imperium coast held down.... and your forces would be cosntnatly harrassed.... Scotish, I highly advise you to not invade... the Byzantine Empire could never hold down the americans... especially with over-stretched supply lines... as you advance inland... to much land becomes open for irregulars to wreak havoc on those supply lines.... you men would starve. And with the Imperiums scorched earth.... you wouldnt find food in the country-side either.... so youd starve your entire army...

My allies are welcome to dock in Vera Cruz when the Imperium army comes to settle in for the winter. All of you talk as if the war is all but won. Its not. Baton Rogues entire perimeter is not in the hands of the Mexicans. Santa Anna is still unable to break through the hills and make a break-out. He has yet to do it. And the defenders are holding firm... and the only way to make a break-out is to hit every one of those hills.. if he goes around them... the Imperium army marches right int the rest of Louisiana. The war is not even in favor of anyone. Your allies have yet to taken the field Pimp. And as of now, the Imperium army is still held-strong around Baton Rogue. The Mexican army is contained. Baton Rogue is a burning ruin. It can be rebuilt. But it wont function for a while.

And the Imprium will protect all its citizens. I need this war over so as to continue ending slavery in my nation. Keeping the war going to free them is doing nothing. They would be free faster if the Imperiums King wasnt busy fighting a war.

Can I ask how is the industry destroyed? Most of the industry should be in the east coast and the north.

I am not fighting this for the end of slavery, I am doing this for my own interest. And that is economic growth. But tag you have changed and I am kinda happy to see some one from back then, so I'll be glad to agree just on the barrier islands in Georgia.

Hate to bold this, but the key word is yet. While I'm casually defending the Americans, this will be the turning side against the Americans less the French and Greeks chip in. Hell, even the Mexican Army itself isn't all that contained in the battle with a stalemate can be pulled on their side if the Byzantines get there. The only reason I'm fighting the Byzantines is because of a matter of principle than any political means. Can't really fight them all the time but they have some great booty( ) and their coming my way. Hate to harass, but I need some of those first rates or other things that they has.

Now I won't be able to stop all of them, but a few stragglers and some hits can land me some good booty( ) with the use of dive bells.
