I think he meant as in nations. The American Imperium is not a European power such as Byzantium and the AKA

Well, the Imperium were an unofficial former colony so.
And I'm just doing it to end slavery and because my people have a strong anti-European sentiment, so strong they are barely accepting we need European support to end the stalemate with the Imperium.

I'll take it! I can do a marriage or something to legitamize such a large land claim. Also, I'm planning on taking any of the unclaimed land in south east Asia now that inactives have been removed. I can have an IC post up today if I get the China takeover approved

Wrong,I was referring to Segmenta when they were talking about Byzanntine and then fighting a major war in the south of them and sending a large navy to help Mexico. Which I called the conscript navy. I know that the British and Scilians are coming and all that, but the navy traveling through my seas now is Byzanntine, who I said I'll hunt them since they're there and I'm a pirate.

Actually.... Duke Louis, later King Louis the I, and Jordan Payne the I were all born in Europe.

Jordan Payne the II has never even seen Europe. Its why the people of the Imperium love him. He is their first native King. And he has a bastard Mexican son.... He is also planning to dismantle slavery in his entire nation. And this war is prolonging it. He offered two years so as to give the Imperium time to heal then have a system... if I just release them from bondage... they have no homes... no food.... I want to to have a system ready to put into place... or I will have food riots in every city and the entire Imperium come crashing down in a civil race war. You free the slaves immediatly... then you just leave room for race war... so the an occupation force would be dealing with an internal civil race war, and the Imperium forces that would be fighting, so most of the occupation forces would need to be fighting the Imperium troops.... and leaving the blacks and whites to kill eachother... so the freed men would be dying and the whites rage growing.... brillant plan you all have

So Imperium Plan:
Already stopped slavery import
Already raised living standards
Already ordered no more beatings of slaves
Already giving freedom to entire slave families (father-mother and children) if the husband/father joins the Imperium army
Begin the creation of farms for former slaves to work for fixed rates only adjustable by the government.
Pay off for all the slaves to their owners and purchase them for the Dept. of Black Labor
Begin working the farms growing foods so they can eat through the winter
Found black-only towns(actually equal to whites) and form schools for them
Open up seats in the Senatorial Council
Have Imperium troops protecting the peace
Issue freedom papers to all slaves
Hold elections for the Senatorial Council

Brillant strategy... how you plan to feed these people? The Imperiums fields are burnt remember? So dont be counting on the Imperiums former farms to be supplying this food? And the ports are being block-aided so no food is coming in by sea. So the Mexican nation will have to feed these new citizens... all of you occupiers will. So. Their is that. Now, do you let the Imperium is ensure the peaceful transition, or do you let them die and starve.
