No way.
When we meet aliens from outer space, we'll yell:
We poison our air and water to weed out the weak!
We set off fission bombs in our only biosphere!
We nailed our god to a stick!
Don't fuck with the human race!

That will allow smaller nations, such as my United States, to get their affairs in order and allow new technologies to arise which will make the overall RP, I hope, a little smoother rather than us having long, drawn out arguments over what is possible.
30 years?

If one day RL was one day RP, nothing would get done. Relax. I said nothing about the buildings being just fine at all. In fact, I said nothing about the buildings period. All I said was that the reinforcements had arrived, giving the militia a morale boost. Given the time that has passed, and since you were able to jump a month after only 4 or 5 days, I'm pretty sure that 4 days is not that big of a deal, particularly for a regular army against a force of militia.

Yes. In the late 1840's, we have percussion cap rifles, breech loading rifles, and the first experiments with metallic cartridges are only a decade away at that point. And as I said, it would give smaller, more recent nations a chance to get on their feet.

Uhm, actually, breech loaded rifles popped up around 1815. I have them. And I was set to have percussion caps by 1819

EFFECTIVE! breechloaders. The first of those did not appear until the 1830s, with the British Hall Rifle and percussion caps were not used until the 1840s.

^_^ Yeah, well, we still have them... not many :c And they suck >_> I haven't actually used them in battle because they are experimental tech. :/ Still, they are cool to have.
One of the first major breechloaders was in, like, 1816-1820 something I think. And, uhm, dude, remember this is AH. There are going to be some differences, and some developments made earlier, and some things done differently. I'm being as realistic as I can be when my nation isn't supposed to be around, and it didn't even have a navy in the 1600's, never mind being a colonial power in the 19th century.

I know it is AH. Why do you think I was talking about Puckle Guns and Kalthoff Repeaters a few pages ago? However, there are several things that just cannot be changed, AH or not.
