After 30 years, yes, we do have a strong navy and economy. Don't pretend it's impossible. You, the one who insists it is so easy to build railroads in jungles.

"Presenting, their Imperial Magestys, Emperor Aden Cordier of Portugal, and Empress Katherine of Aragon. Presenting Mary Tudor, Crowned Princess of the Iberian Allignment. Presenting Prince Jordan Cordier, Prince of Lisbon. The Imperial Family of the Iberian Allignment!" the court in Madrid clapped and shouted their approval of the family.
Katherine was an Queen in her own right. And Aden was a King in his own. But together, they formed an Empire. Spain and Portugal were together now. And the nation safe. The throne of Morocco was added to their list of titles. As well as the Protector of the Gibraltar Straight.
Gibraltar
The Iberian flag was raised over the fort and the canons presed up to the walls. A new line of fortifications was being prepared for the Straights. And plans across the other side for the construction of a grand-fortress with canons, mortars, and experimental rockets.
20 new frigates were entering construction at the shipyards. And 7 new ships-of the line.
Barcelona
The shipyards were full as 12 new frigates entered construction. 3 first-rates joined the construction line as well.
By the end of the naval build-up, 150 new ships would enter the southern fleets command.
Morocco
Mines for iron ore and coal were being planned and some being built. Zinc mines were also opening.
Does Tag have the economy for this? I'm fairly certain that they can't build 150 new ships and aren't building that many, because they simply mentioned, at most, 42.

Depends on the size of the ship. Sloops and that size? Yeah, anything above a Fourth Rate? Only if they're willing to spend the next two centuries on that order. Don't forget you can't instantly build a ship it takes at least 5-10 years from the laying out of the hull to it being ship shape and ready to go.The Manticoran Empire wrote:After 30 years, yes, we do have a strong navy and economy. 30 Years even with the best economy in the world doesn't mean you can have dozens of first rates, the 70 odd Third Rates I had as the Anglo-Kalmar Alliance came from over 50 years of building with a larger number of shipyards than you own. You don't have the naval capacity nor the time to complete an order of that size alone, maybe in an alliance with two or three other nations, but there is no way you can have dozens (note the plural) completed in 30 years as the USA in its current state. I'd say maybe 30 ships of the line max, and remember all the ships you're creating now (this is the same for everyone), or indeed all the ships you're creating through the time skip will all be fairly standard ships of the line, you won't have ironclads yet so you're essentially putting a load of money into ships that maybe have five years of use in them? Not worth it by any real means.

Tag had a population of 17.5 million. That was the US population in 1840. In order for me to have a realistic population, there would have to be an equal number of births and deaths. Which in and of itself is not realistic.

It's on the OP, now, a few slaves also left for Mexico.
Fertility and infant mortality play great roles in this. Development of this US in terms of medicine is up to you, though with you wasting millions on your navy, public healthcare probably isn't great. Tensions between the natives and whites also probably have lead to strife, war, and death.
Era, please, don't get too hostile.

I'm not being hostile. You should see the posts where I've been hostile :/ Seriously, if you think that's hostility then you haven't seen my hostility. I was being honest, and truthful. I'm thinking about leaving the roleplay due to the actions of a few. I held back in that post ^_^ If you want to do your Co-OP duties, don't get onto a person just because they are fed up with the arguing and crap pulled by everyone else. I've been ripped off in this RP, and seen other people be ripped off, I've seen lies, ridiculousness, and general stupidity. This roleplay is no longer any fun, because you guys keep on holding it up, and arguing for hours. It's leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

She'd have to sell her older ships, but she can do it.
Or have them built in foreign shipyards.
Speaking of selling ships, @Tayner would you like to buy some of my old razeed ships of the line?
Better than anything you have.

How does this matter? Do you want to start another conflict? I didn't say I was innocent, I'm just getting tired of this shit. Besides, Sanabel isn't in this roleplay (and Sanabel is far less innocent than me, as I've already exposed).
