Ryujin smiled, looking at Hamiri and Patriah. "Well, looks like you two have some sorting out to do." He looked back at Amaterasu.
"You know where I would find God? I need to get a schedule." He was still smiling when Otohime came over. Once she realized who they were talking to, she bowed.
"How! My queen! Pardon my bad manners. I was just coming to see father."

Hamiri and Patriah were both blushing bright-red, stunned together. The latter wasn't even thinking about Ryujin, now, and the former was still trying to figure-out what she was going to say next. She quickly bowed to Amaterasu, and then she grabbed Patriah's arm and dragged him off, outside. They stood behind a tree, and began talking, befuddled out of their wits.

"Wait...so are you saying you're really...you really..."
"You big, bumbling idiot! Of course I love you! I've loved you since I first met you! I've never thought of anyone else, not even when you left!"
Patriah blinked. He hadn't said anything straightforward or steady all morning, but now he finally found the words.
"...I love you too...I love you more than anyone in the world...You're the most important person in the world to me, besides my brother..."
She was stunned at how calm and serious he sounded, now. She could sense that he meant every word. The words she had been waiting to hear for eleven years, she finally heard them. "...You...you really do..."
He nodded. "I know you've been angry at me for the last three years, but...the reason I left wasn't to get away from you. It was because...I needed to go elsewhere to prepare myself, to train, to protect our home...I couldn't stay in that dark place...but I never forgot you when I left...Every time I saw your face in my mind, I wished I had grabbed you before I had left...before I had snuck-off, that night...Your memory kept me alive all that time, though, and I was never happier than when I thought of you...and when we were reunited..." He paused for a moment, smiling slightly. His dark-green eyes were sparkling with possible tears. "Blessed be God...I never thought I'd see you again..."
Never had she heard him spill so much out of his heart at one time. He had always been tongue-tied and shy, and now here he was, professing his absolute devotion to her. Overwhelmed, she flung herself into his arms. "Patriah!" she exclaimed, as she began to sob. "How could I ever stay mad at you?"
At first, he didn't know how to respond. She had never appeared this vulnerable before. Yet then again, this was the girl he adored with all his heart. He couldn't do anything but hold her back, and he held her tight.
After a few more moments of silence, Patriah whispered, "By the way, I'm sorry about kissing you randomly, back there...in Ryu's place...next time I'll get it right, I promise..."
In response, she spoke with her face muffled in his shirt, "You don't need to change a thing. I couldn't love you anymore than I do now..."
