The battle continued to rage on. The Ostians and Highbreed were still exchanging fire with each other. The first trio of frigates were still engaging the bioship, being careful not to hit their own boarding pods. The rest of the Battlegroup maintained some distance between the bioships and Captain Drea's fleet. "Maintain distance, I want to see what cards the Highbreed has before we reveal ours." Ordered Prince Xaiver.

Admiral Feolf Specht was watching the battle unfold. "Atleast hes keeping his distance." Specht commented quietly.

"Admiral, we have an incoming hail from Captain Dyr", replied the communications officer.

"Confirmed."

"Opening frequency now."

"Admiral, I have contacted my people and have informed them of the current situation. The fleet is still on it's way and I have ordered to aid you in any way that I can. But, as long as I don't engaged the Hivebreed ship directly. "We shall stay here and observe the battle. So far its still undecided.

Admiral, we will standby as well and do not hesitant to ask us for help if you need it. And Admiral if they is a retreat before the fleet arrives then please, tell me so I can warn the fleet and they can meet up in a nearby system. Sir, we have message from command, the Council has given Commander Zuia has been given full authority over the Hivebreed crisis and more ships are inbound. The Ionia and two carriers with modified Oracle repair drones.

The Ostian Battlegroup was orbiting in formation around Mars. The Ostian starships moved idly around the planet, their engines turned off and the occasional Battlesuit patrols around the planet and battlegroup. At the center of the battlegroup was the I.O.S. Relentless Zeal. A few shuttles approached the fleet, after a few checks these shuttles were allowed to pass into the formation and approach the Relentless Zeal. In comparison to the other Ostian starships, the Relentless Zeal was the largest in the fleet. The Battleship had a unique dark grey hull with dark red stripes along the wings. One of the two hanger doors opened for the incoming shuttles. The hangers were located in the rear of the vessel. Inside the hanger section as large with battlesuits lined up against the wall. Numerous wires were attached to the backs of these battlesuits, presumably for recharging. Despite this, large Ostian banners hung from the ceiling and some sort of red carpet was placed near the center of the hanger. The hanger crew directed the shuttles to their landing zones. When the shuttles landed, a few crewman rolled out a red carpet infront of the doors, making a path to the center. All around perimeter were Ostian Royal Guardsmen, their swords unsheathed and clenched at their chests. In the middle of the hanger were all the carpets led to was presumably the Crown Prince with a small entourage.

John exited, Shellist at his side and the Imperial Guard behind them both. They walked down the hangar to meet the Crown Prince for the banquet.

Delta Eridani System...

New Hyperion, Cadia

It is not for the gods that we fight, it is for the beauty of Arcadia. - Decimus Lupercal II, on the Great Arcadian War

----

Darius Caridin V, High Lord of New Hyperion, walked the halls of his palace. That day, he was to commission ten new officers, five captains, and two admirals.

So, why was Darius still troubled? The High Lord answered this question for himself.

I am sending my eldest daughter off to war. Oh, Ionia, how I wish you were still my own.

The High Lord could still hear his daughter requesting a command of one of the task forces of the Second Cadian Fleet. "Dad, I know you want me as safe as possible, but I can take care of myself."

"Ionia, I love you more than New Hyperion itself, but how can you prove that?"

"Give me command of a task force, and I'll prove myself."

"But, Ionia-"

"Dad."

"Oh, very well. But you still have to go through training."

And she did. Ionia Caridin passed the Cadian Fleet Command Program with flying colors, and was given command of the Stengarde Task Force of the Third Cadian Fleet, along with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

-One Hour Later-

"...Edric Dayne, I award you with the rank of Commander of the Valhalla Division."

Darius pinned 3 silver stars on the Commander's shirt. At last, the High Lord came to his daughter, and nearly started sobbing.

"I-Ionia Caridin, you passed the Fleet Command Academy at the top of your class. As your reward, the Imperium of Delta Eridanus awards you with command of the Stengarde Task Force of the Third Cadian Fleet."

The High Lord presented his daughter with a single titanium cog pin, and a peck on the forehead, which the crowd awwed at.

---

As the ceremony finished, Darius caught up with his daughter.

"Ionia?"

The young Cadian turned. "Yeah, Dad?"

Darius pulled out a bronze medallion inscribed with an intricate symbol. "I know that you don't care for symbols of protection, Ionia, but this was your mother's. Back during the Reunification Era, this symbol, the Helm of Awe, was popular among the people of Stengarde for amulets of protection."

"Dad, get to the point."

"Right." Darius cleared his throat. "I want you to have this, when you're out there. Think of it as a small piece of home in the endless void of space."

Ionia took the medallion, and looked at it. Finally, she looked at Darius, put the medallion on, and hugged her father. "Thank you!"

----

Ionia Caridin fiddled with the medallion as she sat in the captain's chair of the Old Arcadia.

Less than 24 hours after she'd been made Lieutenant Commander, a mission had come in: investigate a disturbance in the Tau II Eridani System.

"Tethras, get us into slipspace!"

"Yes, ma'am! Turning on the Corinthian Drive."

There was a bright flash of light, and the Old Arcadia was gone.

And you can't win...for this world belongs to Us now.", It spoke through the communications network on an open channel with all enemy ships. It felt a spike in fear, and that felt good. It decided now was the time to ensure this world's infection, regardless of their glassing. The Allmind, via the various pits on the planet, began releasing tons of microspores. This would appear offplanet as a reddish cloudlike gas that seemed to infect all life in its path. It decided that this would be good.

Maug-Lai Okar-Class Carrier "Blade of Marsolis"

"Warlord Lakana's Army was consumed first, in the southern deserts. We originally thought it was just a counterattack, but than Warlord Hakone's party, then Ishtala, Taztaka, Kalgana, one by one, they were killed by those... Creatures." Warlord Akono said, his voice filling with anger. Salog looked out of the window. The frigates stopped glassing for the moment, the ground was glowing with heat, yet the creatures were already retaking the area. The sight was revolting.

"The creatures merely caught us by surprise. Now, they have no more tricks to pull. They have only brought about their doom by crawling out of those pits." Salog said. Moments later, the Sensor Analyst yelled to the Warlords.

"Highest Warlord, the parasites have changed. A large swarm is heading this way." The two old Warriors were shocked, apparently Salog was wrong. They looked out the viewport to find the swarm of infestors heading their way. Their numbers creating a large blob obscuring what was behind it. Salog began bellowing orders.

"We must return to orbit with the Armada, there's no way we can take all of those on our own." A hologram came up from one of the Captains of the frigates.

"Highest Warlord. I have spoken with the other Captains. We will cover your escape." Salog refused.

"No, if we are to meet our end this day, then so be it. I won't abandon you." The Captain refused to take no for an answer.

" I fear this is only the beginning. Our people will need a strong leader if we are to end this blight." Salog was about to object further until Akono put his hand on his shoulder, nodding his head. Salog reluctantly gave in.

"Fine... May you find peace in the great slumber." Salog said. The Captain chuckled.

"Highest Warlord, I already have." The Captain logged off without another word. Akono began giving orders to the crew.

"Bring the engines to full power. Do not let our brother's deaths be in vain!" The ship's engines came alive, bringing the ship to an incredible speed just as the swarm began to make contact with the Frigates. As the Carrier made its way to safety, the Frigates launched all of their ordinances at the swarm, drawing their attention away from the fleeing carrier. Fighters were launched to aid in the fight but were quickly overwhelmed, leaving their ship's plasma turrets and beam cannons as their only defense. The Infestor's soon began to attack the Frigates head on. Their acid pierced their shields with ease, but Maug-Lai ships are not known for their shield technology. The acid had difficulty punching through the thick armored hulls of the ships, buying the Maug-Lai crews time to take as many Infectors to their deaths with them. Alas, it was only delaying the inevitable. The acid eventually melted through the hulls of the ships, allowing the infestors and their spores the chance to board the ships. The crews gave a valiant effort, fighting to the last man, but the ships still fell the the Highbreed, crashing into the molten surface of the planet one by one.

The Carrier made it safely into orbit, regrouping with the rest of the fleet. As soon as the last ship on the surface fell, the rest of the fleet, both Tagali and Maug-Lai, recieved a message from their new foe.

"Thank you. For you have awoken Us. We are the Allmind. We are the Highbreed. We awakened elsewhere a while ago, and now we have awakened here thanks to you. We shall consume all. We hunger. And you can't win...for this world belongs to Us now." After the message finished, Salog looked around at the crew. While they might have looked stoic to the average Tagali, Taani, or Valonian, Salog could tell that his men were shaken. Their whiskers twitched, their claws were retracted, some of them were even visibly shaking. Salog knew he had to do something. He ordered the Comms Specialist to begin broadcasting on all frequencies, so that every Maug-Lai and anyone else that happened to be listening could hear. Salog let out a chuckle, much to the surprise to the rest of the crew.

"Sons and Daughters of the Maug-Lai. This Allmind thinks it has already won. It thinks we are just food to be consumed for nourishment. Clearly, it has never met a Maug-Lai. This abomination thinks it can just bring our fallen from the dead to fight against us and that we will cower in fear, I say no! The Maug-Lai have also thrived against greater threats. Each time, we have not only survived, but have grown even stronger each time. The Galaxy would have been ours if not for the divine intervention that brought our own ships down from the sky and threw us back into the dark times. Even that, was only a minor setback. Now, we are stronger than ever!

This Allmind thinks that it can strike fear into our very hearts, but it does not know true fear, and we shall be it's teachers! We will drive it into the forgotten corners of history like any threat to the Maug-Lai. I call for Legolo-Sa! All Maug-Lai Shall take up arms against this filth that molests this world and any other world it has in its grasp!" Salog howled, the crew members of the whole fleet were shocked by this announcement. A Legolo-Sa hadn't been ordered since before the Chaotic Collapse. Even so, they began howling as well. Their fear had quickly turned into fanatical rage, aimed at the Allmind. Salogs call to arms had been broadcasted on all channels. From the Tagali fleet bombarding the planet, to the Maug-Lai home system and population centers. Even to the smallest Maug-Lai fringe colony. Soon, every Maug-Lai would take up arms against the Allmind, for a Legolo-Sa meant their species was at stake.

As the howl died down, Salog took command once again.

"All ships, begin firing your ventral beams! Turn the planet into glass!" Soon, all 200 ships of the Maug-Lai Armada over Kalchata began glassing operations. The beams created a wall of fire scorching the planet. A black streak was beginning to form on the planet. The surface became a sea of molten rock, incinerating anything that it touched.

Legolo-Sa:Blood Hunt. A Maug-Lai custom where all Maug-Lai put aside their differences to fight a common enemy. All Maug-Lai are expected to participate, from Pirates, to rival warlords. A Blood Hunt does not end until the target is extinct.
Quote of the- Oh, I don't know how long I'm gonna have this on here.
"It's all good in the hood!" I replied cheerfully. But deep down, I knew that there were many socio-economic problems in the hood.

Crown Prince Joseph Marx was stood tall at 5'9. He wore a white tunic with golden trimmings and had short blonde hair. He approached the entourage and bowed. "Hello there," He spoke in a soft tone. "I am Crown Prince Joseph Marx, my father, Emperor Karl Engels the Seventh, sent me to aid your forces in the coming battle." He recognized Emperor John almost immediately but the few others, he did not know. "I presume you are the Emperor of the UTT. It is an honor to be in your presence, your majesty."

The Allmind was furious. These fools believed they could defeat It by glassing the planet? It almost chuckled. All they'd do is, at worst, starve It out. And It had plenty of biomass - for at least one Bioship, minimum. It began the ship's construction underground. Meanwhile, near pits and openings into the Allmind's residence underground, biomass and flesh formed huge walls which hardened and thickened so that molten glass and rock couldn't enter into It's chambers. It knew that It would be starved if It stayed here and let them bombard the world.

It decided to unleash their own weapons upon them. At facilities and military bases across the planet, It activated the defense systems as It was seeped into them. It aimed the large defense cannons into the sky, firing large beams of plasma and energy. It used It's psionic sensing to detect where enemy ships were, as well as input from radar. It wasn't going to let them glass this planet without a fight. Besides, It needed to make sure they thought It was dying, and putting up a last stand. Then, they wouldn't be prepared for the Bioship, when the ship was complete...

The Allmind, thanks to this planet, had reached sufficient biomass. It grumbled as those few escaped, It could tell they were important - mostly due to the information It had absorbed. Now, however, It decided that It needed to get to other planets and systems. It growled at the orbital bombardment taking place... that would not be helpful in the slightest. It sent Infestors at the ships; the Infestors had wings and could fly with ease. They used their acid spit to try and pierce into the hulls of the enemy ships, to release Spores unto them.

It felt the amount of It's biomass reach the necessary amount. The Allmind now had a second 'body' of sorts on this world, similar to Xarintine. Now, It could... communicate, if It so wished. It decided that these aliens, based on their actions, were more easily... dissuaded from attack. And probably had more fear... It sensed the fear around It, no matter how subconscious. This fear was more abundant than within the Ostians. Perfect. It hacked into scanners using tentacles and Highbreed soldiers. A low, deep pitched voice burst through the enemy communications.

"Thank you. For you have awoken Us. We are the Allmind. We are the Highbreed. We awakened elsewhere a while ago, and now we have awakened here thanks to you. We shall consume all. We hunger.

The Commonwealth's chief strategy wasn't very effective. Most enemies were devastated, but not the Colma. And now they were coming at them with a vengence. Commander Wease contacted the planet below, "Admiral Stroy, we are under attack by insectoid fighters. Please send aid. I am not sure how much longer our ships can hold." Another explosion rocked the vessel.
"Understood, Commander. I will send as many as we can spare," Stroy replied.
The time had come. The Commonwealth's most dangerous attack. The Galactic squads were unleashed on the enemy to unleash the Mewtwo drones, which deactivated most mechanical programs-except the larger ones. Fighters were the ones that needed to get eliminated first. With their main assault out of the air, the enemy would be forced to the defensive.

I fear that we may have diplomatic repercussions, but our Chancellor will back my side-he supports you Soviks. We have quarters you can stay on until we get you safely away. It is also my honor to give those Ostians a piece of our guns."

Fighters began falling by the hundreds. first 100, then 500 then 1000. "Sir! something has gone wrong with our fighters power supply!" The Com officer said, catching Zeths attention. "What?! how?!" he demanded. "I-I dont know sir." Zeth struck the com officer with the back of his hand. "Fool! have what fighters we have pull back, I want cover fire from the main fleet!" He ordered. the Fighters pulled back to the larger Colma ships, which began pelting the Mewtwo drones with fire.

Displeoa System - Heading Towards Lepota - Between Vryi and Lepota - 57 Hours After Awakening

"Enemy within view range." Reported the sensor operator on the gilded bridge of the I.O.S. Righteous Fury, Prince Xaiver's personal vessel. Eighteen bloated and diseased ships appeared on the screen. These ships were bigger than the Ostian vessels. Despite the naming conventions, Ostian starships are actually smaller than most of their counterparts. The crew of a Pious Class destroyer numbers only 375 overall. The crew sizes vary from 275 (Virtue Class Frigates) to 950 (Emperor Class Battleship). However what they lack in size they make up for firepower and speed. Ostian Naval strategy is based primarily on close ranged maneuvers and strategic placement of Pious class destroyers. Due to the Ostian preference for boarding actions, their ships, with the exception of the destroyers, were made with boarding action in mind.

The bioships came into full view of the Battlegroup, as the Highbred began its assault on the vanguard. The fleet under Captain Drea's command were under attack as they tried to rejoin the battlegroup. Prince Xaiver looked as Captain Drea's fleet began to retaliate, firing shots at the bioships along with missiles. However the bioships seemed to 'heal' despite the assault. He began to feel nervous, never before had he encountered an enemy such as this one. For the first time in his life, Prince Xaiver contemplated the idea of-

"Do you see now, young ones? Do you see what you have unleashed? Do you comprehend it? Understand it? We are your worst nightmares come alive. We will consume you all. You will run. You will hide. Eventually. But We will be there... We will find you. And We will consume you. There is nothing you can do, fools...",

Yes, perhaps now is to with- "Your highness," responded the first officer. "We're getting hails from many of the ships."

The Prince shock his head, trying to rid himself of such thoughts. "Put it through."

"This is Captain Beyer of the I.O.S. Virtuous Avenger, I volunteer my ship to lead the charge!" Prince Xaiver was surprised by this. These people are willing to-

"This is Captain Dreher of the I.O.S. Blessed Sword, let me lead the charge, your highness."

"This is Captain Fuhrman of the I.O.S. Descending Angel, my crew and I shall avenge the deaths caused by these filth!" Many calls similar to those came to the Righteous Fury. Ostian zeal, one of the mysteries of the universe.

"All starships!" Prince Xaiver ordered. "Proceed with the battleplan! Today shall be another glorious battle for Ostia!"

"Yes, your highness!" Echoed the Captains and officers in the Ostian Battlegroup. As the bioships and Drea's fleet exchanged fire, the frigates which made the front of the Battlegroup's formation surged forward. Three virtue class frigates began concentrating fire on one of the bioships in the lead. They fired all their boarding pods into the ship simultaneously. The boarding pods rammed into the bioship.

Meanwhile swarms of Battlesuit teams descended on the bioships attacking Drea's fleet. They tried to coordinate their fire with the other starships firing into the holes caused by them. Even though thermite rounds are not as effective in space as planetside, they still useful for sealing areas. The concentrated fire of the Battlesuit teams caused slowed the healing process of the bioships as their shots scorched the sides of the wounds, making it harder for them to regenerate.

"312th Battlesuit platoon, keep a close eye on those bioships, you may be able to dodge the acid but it may try something like those tentacle things." Captain Drea reported to the Battlesuits assisting his fleet.

"Copy, relaying information to all pilots." Responded the Platoon commander. The cruisers, battlecruisers and battleship began medium-distance bombardment on the bioships.

Only one battlecruiser and 1 destroyer were at Vryi, these ships were under the Admiral's control. These two starships as well as the alien flotilla orbited aimlessly, monitoring the battle."

Displeoa System
Xarintine / Lepota / Orbit
60 Hours After Awakening

The Allmind watched this occur. It growled, although It sensed the fear It was stirring... perhaps things were not so bleak. Still, though; they were annoying. The Bioships began growing, using biomass, 'armor' around holes that were forced to stay open, to give them a chance to heal. The Bioships continued firing the acid at enemy ships, as well as now releasing specialized Infestors. These Infestors had methane gas sacs that burned with plasma to generate propulsion - essentially, 'Biofighters'. The Biofighters/Infestors were flying at enemy ships, spitting acid at them and tossing sets of spores into ships if they could. They did so with such efficiency and synchronicity that any doubt as to the Allmind's intellect or presence would be squashed.

It growled slightly, and was curious as to what they were trying to achieve via the boarding pods. No matter... It reinforced those areas of the Bioships with extra thick carapaces among other things, to ensure that damage was minimized if they were being used as bombs. It decided to try something that It hadn't tried before. Using It's psionics, It searched for the weakest minded individuals on the enemy ships. It picked them all out easily. It began feeding them images of a glorious higher power - Itself - and a peace, everlasting peace. It also began sending them subconscious messages.

"Come to Us. Come be with Us. Do not be afraid; We are peace. We are happiness.", It whispered into the weakminded ones. It was trying to use psionic suggestion, an ability the psionic races It had assimilated used to be very persuasive. It was essentially mind-propaganda directly shot into weakminded individuals, to attempt to force them to do what a psionic wanted. It was applying that here to force the weakminded to turn against their brothers, to try to make them want to join with It. It offered them peace, freedom, safety, heaven... pleasant images... things most wanted. It waited for the chaos to begin as a result...

Warhrihet System (Formally the Pravda System) - Warhrihet (Formally Pravda) - Above the former city of Vneipr

Long ago back in the days of the Sovik Union, Pravda was a key system in the Union of Sovik Systems Republics. It was a manufacturing world, the capital of the Pravda system. Back in the days before the Ostian-Sovik War, it produced agriculture equipment and starship engines. Now the world is a shadow of its former self. An eternal darkness covers the planet, the once great factory complexes lie in ruins and rubble. The only lights on the planet are those used by the Ostians hidden in their large fortress complexes. The scorching of Pravda left the surface toxic for the first 10 years. As the radiation subsided, parts of the surface become safer. 30 years after, it is still dangerous to go to the surface without a gas mask, the air is still filled with debris and deadly industrial chemicals. It has been speculated with it would take 570 years for Pravda to revert back to its original atmosphere. The people who fled underground were spared from the flame, but only to suffer a long awaited death against not only the radiation and toxic air, but the mutated animals, Ostian patrols, the Inquisition and each other. However Pravda is also the location of a major base for the Sovik Revolutionary Front.

A dark green dropship began its descent onto the planet's surface. Inside the dim-lit cold interior of the dropship were a few figures. "Welcome to Pravda," spoke Sergeant Pozin to the now defected commander. "What you see here is the result of a scorch." The sergeant was sitting next to the defected commander and pointed outside the window. "You're going to have to wear a mask, the air is still to dangerous for breathing. But because of the atmosphere, it makes most communications and sensors obsolete. Even the Ostians have trouble with their communications."

"We are approaching Industrial Complex 234." Reported the pilot, "ETA is about 5 minutes out. Nothing on sensors so far."

Sol System - Orbit Around Mars - Battle Group Sol - I.O.S. Relentless Zeal, Crown Prince Joseph Marx's Flagship - Hanger Bay - 2030 Earth Hours

"Worry not, Ostia is here to help our new friends." Crown Prince Joseph spoke with a slight grin. "While I would love to talk strategy, I would prefer to leave such talk on the dinner table. Here we should be greeting ourselves. Rest assured, should anything happen during the banquet my forces will react immediately."

The one thing he was watching out for was any of the Harndarians. He didn't want to catch whatever in the emperor's name they had. He made a few special arrangements just for them. While he would have loved to have an orchestra come and play for the commanders, he felt it would be inappropriate regarding the situation.

Emperor Karl Engels the Seventh wrote: While the Royal Family prides themselves like eagles, in reality we are all like snakes. We just put on the robes, crowns and titles for the populace. Everyone of my children is plotting for this throne, most claim their honor and glory in battle. Others are more discrete and plotting, it is those you need to look out for. Out of all my four children, Kastella is probably the best hope for the Imperium...

"Good to hear!" John said, returning the grin. "I will have my men ready as well, but we should all try to let loose. I'm excited to taste Ostian cuisine, on Earth I am renowned for my food critiquing. We brought 3 bottle of UTT wine, aged 65 years. My Grandfather brewed this wine himself."

Shellist then said, "From the Hylotl, I brought some Pearlpea salad. The ingredients can only be found on Neptune."

"WHAT IN THE NAME OF TYR, ASGARD, AND VALHALLA IS THAT?!"

Ionia's voice rocked the bridge as they arrived in the Tau II Eridani system. Outside the ship was a being of some kind.

"We don't know, ma'am."

"WELL, FIND OUT."

Ionia sat back, uneasy.

---

New Hyperion, Cadia

Darius sat in his office, fiddling with an Arum puzzle, when his servant knocked.

"Yes?"

"They're here, sir."

Darius smiled. "Get the Council room ready."

"Yessir."

Lord Caridin stood up, and retrieved his house robes. They were mainly black with gold trim: the colors of the Imperium.

He put them on, and stepped out into the hallway.

---

When Darius Caridin reached the Via Hyperia, he was faces with the colors of at least 20 other houses.

As he walked down the Via Hyperia, Darius passed the steel-grey banners heralding Lady Daenerys Argenteus of the twin cities of Stengarde and Staalgarde. She was giving instructions on how to drill troops to a few Imperium officers.

"Good morning, Lady Daenerys."

"Lord Darius."

Next, Darius glimpsed the silver and navy blue of House Fellhorn of the Forges of Mechanus. Lord Marcus Fellhorn was poring over blueprints for a new starship.

"Marcus."

"Morning, Darius. Pass along my congratulations to Ionia."

After House Fellhorn, came the bright orange and gold of House Martell of Daggerfall. Lord Dorian Martell fiddled with an silver medallion.

"Dorian."

"Darius."

Next came the black and silver of New Corinth's ruling house, House Lupercal. Lord Decius Lupercal, Darius' closest ally, was examining a few trade deals.

"Decius!"

Decius looked up, and almost immediately bear-hugged Darius. "My man!"

"Urg... Decius..."

Decius let go. "Sorry. How's it going?"

"Good as it can be, considering the fact that my daughter just left."

Decius nodded. "I'm sorry, but we know that Ionia's gonna be fine. Now, can I look at those papers...?"

Darius left Decius alone, and continued walking. Soon enough, Lord Caridin came across the violet banners of House Dayne. Lady Allyria Dayne was examining battle plans.

"Allyria."

"Darius. I trust you are still in mourning for my sister?"

"I don't think I'll ever stop mourning Ashara." Darius admitted.

Allyria nodded sadly, and gave Darius a hug and kiss on the cheek. The two drew apart before anyone got the wrong idea.

Darius finally entered the Council room, and sat in his chair. Once the other High Lords and Ladies took their seats, they got to work.
