NS Nation Name: North Calaveras
Nation Name: Cult of the Dark Titans
Flag: http://ivacationinyourhell.files.wordpr ... ol-80s.jpg
Location: Based within the Nether-Void heavily, however the main "homeworld" of Tormunt is located on the outer perseus arm
Government type: Militant Theocracy
Economic ideology: Barter/Salvage/Piracy/Black market
History: The cult is a recent development after a nation on a world known as Tormunt began experimenting with a newer form of FTL. Unfortunately the FTL they discovered was actually a gateway to a dimension known as the "nether-void" This dimension was alien and strange...and inhabited. The Humans of this world began sending explorers through and none returned, only after a few months did they get word back. The explorers that returned gibbered about strange gods, dark titans, beings of immense size, strange worlds and portals, some were driven insane, others came back speaking of the how the "others" would bring their people to glory. They military of Tormunt sent an expedition force through, but they were never heard of again. Then, a being began to speak through one of the experimental devices gate devices, currupting the minds of those who observed it, but this could not be farther from the truth, they were the ones being observed. In reality, the "titans" were immense, psionic transxenos, a perfect melding of flesh and machine infused with raw psionic energy, making them "god-like" to many.
The cosmic horrors of the Nether-Void whispered all manner of things, some voices begged to be fed, others were rational and convincing, some dangerous and demanding, but they all wanted one thing in common...service. The strange psionic powers of the Titans beyond the viel of dimensions currupted everything, until the very military of Tormunt turned on it's people. The civil war ravaged the planet until the last remnant of the Planetary State of Tormunt was extinguished. The world fell into darkness after for a time, strange temples were forged across the world with more portals leading to the nether-void, the strange minions of the Titans came through the nether gates to assist their new slaves, but only for a short while. The mortal realm(our realm) didn't sit well with the strange beings and preferred to come and go instead of stay. They spoke in strange tounges that only the gifted could understand. The gifted were those who were infused with the strange, psionically charged nanites, giving them powers pertaining to their gods. Some granted great strength, others were made "undead" yet still functional, these dark gifts mustered the very flesh of normal beings.
The Dark Titans of the Nether Void are many, though there are some notable standouts.
Note: More may be revealed over time
Nazer-Eem, The Immortal Lich-God: A towering Nether Titan in the shape of a colossal undead flea that doesn't move, it only lays half-suspended in a gargantuan alien tomb where it's never ending crowds of zombie-like ghouls crowd the necropolis of his nether world. He is seen as a patron of Death, the Undead, and Resilience. Many of his followers are gifted with undeath, in reality this is is a potent cocktail of psionically charged nanites that reanimate the recently deceased and technically renders them "transhuman" however, the transformation does indeed "kill" the person. Those who have been dead to long and have suffered to much brain damage and are exposed to the Lich-God's gift mereley become ghouls.
Sark'oth, The Conqueror: A titan of strength, honor, war and masculinity, he is best described by insane mortal eyes as huge humanoid like being encased in strange armor, rippling with muscles, whom sits atop a mountain of untold size, the base of which is sheethed in ice and rock, as one climbs higher to see the gods fortress, he is met by hurricane winds and firestorms of molten rock and lightning. At the very top of the mountain is his Fortress, it is mighty and organized with legions of humanoid warriors encased in armour in tight formations whom stand strong against the chaotic maelstrom that surrounds them. The gifts of Krom mostly include increased strength or size, such that would make a mortal man seem as though he was using power armor.
Krom, The Red Ape: The most malicious and mad of the titans, a behemoth blood stained ape-like creature with the face of a skull, whos eye burn like dying dwarf stars. He drags a primitive club around a gigantic cave that is littered with bones of all manner of nether-beasts. Krom is the patron god of slaughter, savagery, torture, murder and mindless violence and willpower. It is said that that his followers, blood-crazed cultists, take pilgrimage to kill the Titan. They approached in armies along with other strange beasts to kill the mad god but they only march towards the entrance of the cave to be killed and devoured and mashed. Krom's favor usually only comes in the form of human/xeno sacrafice, as it is the only way to be granted his gifts. These gifts usually include stronger willpower, advanced adrenaline systems and the ability to consume food that would kill a normal man. However, those that drive themselves to far into the sacrifice of Krom will find themselves at the front of the beasts cave, ultimately becoming another carcass.
Xeraphim, The Faceless Archangel: Xeraphim is one of the strangest of the Titans, a immense humanoid being with giant wings of light, or at least of the few mortals capable of seeing the being could describe it. Xeraphim is a nether-titan that's realm is literally within a white Nether star, it's psionically charged nanites make it extremely heat resistant, and what might look like heaven to a mortal is really a roiling ball of white-hot nether plasma. Xeraphim is the most benevolent of the Titans, it appears to be neither male or female in form. It's "angels" are merley small versions of itselfs that flock around the diety as waves it's wings, fanning the intense heat. Xeraphim is often associated with healing, hope, and peace. Oddly enough, there is no sound within Xeraphim's realm and it's only way of communcation is through it's actions. Those who are gifted with Xeraphim's blessing usually develop a resistence to heat and the ability to heal from wounds that normal mortals would fall from. They also gain increased telekinetic abilities.
Lavastus, the Seducer: Lavastas is a strange titan whom inhabits huge chamber, where a bed the size of a city resides. Lavastus is a great humanoid being with many arms oustrentched, each enjoying something of it's own creation. One hand may possess a chalice, another a strange alien needle, among a thousand other things. The Seducer is the most talkative of the Titans and it's whispers currupt faster than others. While being in the mere presence of a Titan can brainwash most mortals, The Seducer is even more potent. The Seducer is seen as the patron god of Sex Drugs and Rock n roll. Lavastus has no minions, however it's body keeps on breaking apart and reforming, almost repeating it's own reproduction. The gifts of Lavastas usually come in the form of pheromone changes, quick reflexes and good looks.
Nazeroth, The Void Bringer: Little is known of this Nether Titan, but some believe that it is a being linked to the other Titans and should they fall or be destroyed their essence would be asborbed by him. He is considered weak but always present. He is seen as the Lord of the Apocalypse or Twilight Horseman, also Dusk Destroyer.
Population: 6 billion
-Species- Human mostly
ECONOMIC-
Ideology: Militant Theocracy
Economy:Decent (mostly black market or stolen items)
Manufacturing: Weak, most things are stolen or bought on the black market, however some captured facilities produce goods
Agriculture: Decent
MILITARY-
Population: 50 million
Branches: Cultist Fleet, Cult Warriors
Standard infantry: Mostly cultists, however they may sometimes receive "divine" support in the form of powerful nether servants and beasts.
Standard weapons: whatever they get their hands on
Standard ship: Anything that can be stolen
Weapons: Anything the ship already uses
Strengths: Ships are usually refitted and equipped with Nether Drives, allowing them to dump themselves into the Nether-Void, this makes them unpredictable and almost impossible to track.
Weaknesses: Once a Nether Drive is activated it is useless, thus requiring the ship to get a new one from within the void, this makes FTL travel very safe and hard to track, but also about half as fast as most other factions. While they may call for divine assistence, conventional combat is much harder as they rely on insurgent tactics most of the time with only blessings to help them.
in case you want more information on my faction United Tributational Territories
would also appreciate if i was put on the list in the OP for future reference.
Just because you're human, you're gonna get attacked. Sorry.
Sorry I missed you.
To all nations:Please check to see if I missed you!
