Well they could always find out and break the bar keep's head open. Its just to show how lax regulations are in the Pieck System in comparison to the other systems. Like I said, those guys in the bar are npcs so you can do things to them as you wish. Infact that guy should be made an example of under the new governor.

Some 10,000 years ago a prophet emerged and lead a small nation to greatness. After many years of family rule a great holy war that lasted 600 years lead to the uniting of all of the Aethelite folk. Through means of force all opposing religions and great houses were destroyed and a long period of peace was established.

As time went on many policies were established and revoked. Eventually a system of viceroyalty was established for both clergy and for lords with the Emperor at the head. The Clergy had become a huge part of daily life, every fifth son by law had to join the clergy, which acted as the sole innovators and bureaucrats of the state. Slavery grew in importance for the merchant class, over 7/10 laborers in agriculture are slaves.

After many years of never having to deal with different ways of thought, an apostate emerged and spread teachings contrary to the Hargov(holy book). An insurrection lead to an all out civil war that lasted some 60 years. Massive loss of life and atrocities committed by the apostates had left its mark in Aethelite culture as complete aversion to foreign ideals.

Space travel was discovered and the first actual long term space voyage occurred 100 years ago and the Aethelites are ready for a great expansion into the universe.
