The Ostians do have planet-killing weapons, (looks at my posts about the Sovik Union). But the current Emperor refuses their usage. The best the Ostians can do is bombard the planet from orbut, but not exactly planet-killing.

Also my guys are fighting the Highbreed (plus Gambia and Therya), so by all means. Send them your way. You can deal with the problem.

Hey, Moscow, after the Ostian flagship I'm attacking is dead, I kind of want them to regroup at the orbital station with the Prince inside it, only to launch a massive counterattack against the Highbreed as they try to press forward. Does that sound like a good plan?

Hey, Moscow, after the Ostian flagship I'm attacking is dead, I kind of want them to regroup at the orbital station with the Prince inside it, only to launch a massive counterattack against the Highbreed as they try to press forward. Does that sound like a good plan?

If you are paying attention to the numbers (which I did not do last post but the previous posts), the Ostian Battlegroup only has three battlecruisers and a battleship left along with a decreasing battlesuit force. How I imagined it was that it was literally a last stand, the bioships on all sides, kinda like circling the wagons scenario. The only Ostian military forces left is that Battlegroup and the starbase which is being rigged to explode. As of why there are no other Ostian ships in the system, well... Maybe you should look back at the previous posts to see what the adjacent systems to Displeoa are doing.

Perhaps, but I'd need a reason to have ships there, especially with all of Third Fleet at Sol, because now Fourth Fleet has to cover a shrinking area of space to keep anything remotely resembling decent coverage. Plus I really do want to give the Sparatoi some time in the limelight.

By the way, do you think the Ostians' first priority is evacuation to ensure least food for Highbreed, or trying to retake the Disploea System, ignoring surrounding systems and their populations?

History:
The History of Arcturus is very long to say the least. In another universe, year 15,000 AD, Arcturus was first found by human explorers from Sirius. Over time, the world developed heavily. Skip 32,000 years it is now 47,000 AD, 3000 years after the end of the Great Revolutionary War. The Union of Allied Socialist World is a colossal morass, with well over 250 quadrillion citizens. Arcturus at this point is a major industrial world with a massive population of 2 trillion. The Arcturus system contains 2.1 Trillion people in total.

Now, everything was going well for the most part. People were happy and the economy was good. Technology is more advanced than ever, with the first Dark Energy Manipulators being built (there are 3, they basically turn dark matter into things, military application varies). It was then that the local Science Division "accidentally" screwed up the System, causing it to fall through a hole in space time towards its relative spot in another universe. To say the least, no one was amused. Currently, it is day 10 since arrival, and the System government is still scrambling to set everything up.

Population: 2.1 Trillion.
-Species- Human, androids (if that counts)
ECONOMIC-
Ideology: Socialist / Part Capitalist.
Economy:(Horrible, weak, decent, good, strong, etc): good, although its currently a huge mess (70/100)
Manufacturing: Absolutely great, has an Orbital Shipyard /defense ring/ shield. 100/100
Agriculture: 0/10, all food is currently being produced via factory / dark matter manipulator. rationing is in store.
MILITARY-
Population: 25 billion, a huge military contingent is present on the second planet.
Branches: Union Navy, Union Army, Planetary Defense Force (PDF)
Standard infantry: Union army trooper (imagine Imperial Guard Stormtrooper with more armor)
Standard weapons: The Trusty 0.75 caliber Laser Rifle (Much better than imperial lasgun). All types of other weapons. The Frequent old assault rifle. Maybe a pistol or two.
Standard ship: the colossal 15km long Victory-Class Battleship. Resembles a huge warhammer 40k styled long box without the decorations and cathedrals.
Weapons: The insane 50,000 ton MAC. Calculated 1.9 petatons tnt of power. More weapons of similar status. Energy Projectors (lasers), and lots and lots of bombs (ranging from lbs to petatons and more). One Adv. Science facility.
Strengths: The Navy is incredibly strong and numerous, due to a military base being present in the system. Tech is very advanced despite what looks like crudeness. Self Sufficient.
Weaknesses: The PDF sucks at fighting (they're just civies with guns). The Entire planet is currently in a state of emergency. No food production other than factories. Our troops look pathetic compared to others, but don't underestimate them! Slightly Xenophobic

just saying, in the warhammer universe they still use autoguns (think M-16), so we have those! Currently the System will probably start selling their excess ships and tech for food, and info.

I think my normal ships are absolutely huge (then again Emperor class Battleship from Warhammer 40k is 25km long).
AI's are not counted in population. Androids are.
The System is an Industrial System, like a forge world in a sense. Food isn't meant to be produced here.
