Our beloved OP has a life outside NS too, and can't be online all the time. I was asked throug tg if I could consider to be Co-Op because of that, and I accepted. But since Ardwind (OP, not the city ;)) hasn't made it official in this thread yet I wasn't sure if I could start, but if it's up to me...

All apps so far are accepted!

Denied. You need to add an appearance, and fleshing out your character's personality would definetely not hurt either.

Cool - in that case, would it be a step too far to assume Heskr is occasionally contracted as this? Would never need to be part of the plot unless ou had a good idea for it.

Sounds excellent! Since descriptions are hard to come by, I was thinking Elana could commission some forged documents to impersonate one of her family members. She'd know most of the answers to any questions (given she was part of the family), but for extra spice could be that she needs to break into the Dwarven archives (armed with a dictionary) to ensure she has every answer she might need. And the backdrop of the plague could be very interesting in its own right...

Yes, very. But apparently Eugene wanted Keldan more than Elana as his companion. ;)

I have a slight query about this character, namely: does he have any flaws?

Not in that 'he's too caring' or 'he loves helping too much' (since those aren't really flaws), but more like 'he's too impulsive', or 'his honour actively hinders him Ned-Stark style'.

I was just curious, given his family's wealth, his perfect score for loyalty, high scores for nearly everything else, and then things like his generosity, progressive views, charisma, business acumen, etc could easily make him somewhat of an experiment in perfection.

That would not be a step too far at all! And I think that your contact in the family would be Bamosillianus, the 'uncle' of Collilingus. He's a bit more... aggressive. Less patient than his nephew. And a lot less culturally inclined.

And that plan about Elana would be perfect. Indeed, the Dwarves would have some security questions, some very specific ones you would need to answer, as well as show some kind of tangible object that connects her with the family. What these questions are is indeed written in the Dwarven Archives, in the Savorite palace. You'd have to break in to find out those questions... Interested? Of course, as you assumed, these archives are not only written in the Dwarven language, but also in Dwarven scripts (bottom-to-top hieroglyphs), for which you would need a dictionary. I like this plan more and more. Especially when the plague comes, this will be very interesting. Chaos is not good for business, one might say.

I thought a little along those lines too, but since the OP accepted another similar character and explicitly wrote that powerful characters weren't forbidden, I approve it for now. Plus, progressive views like his can be very dangerous in a medieval world, so much that it could be considered a weakness. I'm sure the Inquisition would want a "talk" with this guy. Just because he's a Gary Stu it doesn't mean he's going to survive...

This is accepted, and I will explain why. I have pre-approved this information, as it pertains to important story matter. If you are wondering about the madness, you will wonder for only a short time more. The madness will be explained through the Order of Pekel.

Well, that would help with some of the issues, but that renown score actually makes even less sense now. If this is some sort of secret ancient cult that's manufacturing a horrible plague, they should be, you know, secret, not one of the most famous organizations in the land.

I can change that little bit. House Pekel is well known, mostly through legend and supposed myths, but the Order is now relatively unknown.

For that, I'd probably keep the house prestige at 10, but then knock the order and both dudes down to 0 to reflect the secrecy.

House Pekel, and its master, have now returned. Keep in mind that Karth Pekel, where the Order of Pekel is based, is located far from Ardwind. It is certain that no ordinary person knows of Bartal's return. Only a mage who can feel the pulse of magic itself would be able to know that Bartal had returned. The Order of Pekel will now begin attempting to recruit people into the Order, as well as into the faith. In addition, the Order will begin repairing Karth Pekel, which has fallen into a state of slight ruin over a thousand years of abandonment.

I love this. Gavin is a moustache twirling mastermind plotting to manipulate Glinda for his own devices, but she is far too pure and stubborn for that. However, she'll still probably end up doing exactly want he wants of her own volition, causing Gavin to proclaim victory and laugh maniacally at his own genius. :p

Once again a very powerful character, but well written and with some weaknesses. I assume his fighting stamina falls rather quickly, so even if I think it might be a little bit too high to start with, accepted! :)

Thanks! I'll try to insert that somewhere when I can c:

Definitely very interested, especially with how the plague might feature... and if the dwarves get suspicious at any point, they can always alert some of her former family members (several of whom would like nothing more than to kill her). I was keeping it flexible, but that might be a nice method of assuring that she doesn't pull off this little game without consequences...

Zombie Fascists wrote:I thought a little along those lines too, but since the OP accepted another similar character and explicitly wrote that powerful characters weren't forbidden, I approve it for now. Plus, progressive views like his can be very dangerous in a medieval world, so much that it could be considered a weakness. I'm sure the Inquisition would want a "talk" with this guy. Just because he's a Gary Stu it doesn't mean he's going to survive...

Ah, no worries then :)
I used to run an alliance, and a region. Not that it matters now.
