i've been digging up some data on ww1 gdp figures and found some suppressing stuff. Russia at this point had a bigger GDP than France with around 260 billion vs France's 138. China also had a fairly large economy of 240 billion, which is about triple Japan's 92 billion. Wonky stuff, always thought Russia was poor as crud with its constant lack of funds.

Perhaps I'll go with a South American nation or Chinese rebels or something. Shanxi warlord/Zhili clique could be fun to play.

Go for it. No Taiping Rebellion + less corruption in the New Fleets and New Armies + better showing in the Second Opium War could easily mean a (still creaky, but fairly alive) Qing dynasty.

Haha. No, the Ottomans are modern in this timeline. Ain't no way we are losing to Italy. You would have won that from Greece, who we granted independence.

Germany-Hungary-Ottomans against Franco-Russian Entente, with both British and Columbian intervention being things I am yet unsure of.
Lunas told me he wants to stay rather isolationist, but did say that if I invade Belgium he'll probably intervene.
And you... I've yet to talk with you about your plans.

Italy also is a wild card, considering they (probably) desire lands both in the Entente and the Central Powers (Nice-Savoy and Dalmatia, respectively).
Japan could go with either alliance, as well, or they might follow Britain. Or they'll use both alliances' weakness and nom some pacific coasts and islands.

I think that covers all the great(er) powers.
