Name: Katana - Roukanken | Wakizashi - Hakurouken

It's not the sword that's different. Note the flower in the bottom right.

Age: Er...however much time has passed since October 14, 2015?
Ability: Roukanken, the katana, embodies the passive effects of the flower. Its attack is dramatically buffed, letting it cut through most substances with ease, combined with a special effect that lets nullify most magic/evasion on contact and inflict unhealable wounds by directly attacking her opponent's spirit. Hakurouken, the wakizashi, embodies most of the active aspects, gaining a quick-draw forwards blink attack and(for teh lulz) the ability to perform ritual seppuku on herself in exchange for not counting the death in her statistics/a quicker respawn.
Method of Acquisition: The weapon itself isn't actually the sword - it was forged during Youmu's first respawn sequence when Japanese viewers purchased the right to send her a special lotus flower that effectively functioned as a high level potion. She thought the flower was too beautiful and decided not to use it, instead fixing it to the end of her sword sheath with some paper talismans. For reasons unknown, this simple action raised both the sword and her wakizashi to Legendary-Tier, giving them their current abilities.

Kewl! Also, approximately 36 years. So, unless Youmu was around in Season 1 (Which she wasn't), the age makes no sense.
