Name: Youmu
Age: 16
Appearance:

Gender|Sexuality: Female | Homosexual
Allegiance: Mercurius
Uniform: I'm going to be honest - I have no idea what this is supposed to be. I guess she just fights wearing the same as the appearance?
Class|Subclass: Tank | Duelist
General Skills: Swordfighting - although it's more like dueling than anything else, Japanese martial arts being what they are.
Class Specific Skills:
Memory of Phantasm - Injuries, debuffs, and other crippling effects can be temporarily ignored, at the expense of great physical strain. This too can also be ignored, but the longer it's put off the greater it will eventually be.
Delusional Illusion, Endless Sword - Youmu's next slash gains a massive increase in energy, drastically increasing the power behind her attack and causing it to propagate along the surface of her target. It's relative power increases with the size and magical energy contained within the target, ranging from an exceptionally powerful mortal blow on standard enemies to an nigh-unstoppable wave of destruction on larger magical constructs. Think typical anime sword wave attacks.
Weapon: Lengthened katana - it's not quite long enough and too straight to be a no-dachi, but it's too long to count as a standard katana | Wazikashi sidearm
Personality: It is, for lack of a better term, rather like a railroad. You can only go in one direction, and you can't change directions until you reach a juncture. To complete the extended train analogy, Youmu is really only capable of focusing on one thing at a time, but she does it really well, like how a steam engine is really good at plowing through buffalo. Also like a steam engine, exactly what she's doing and how is typically painfully obvious to anyone who even glances her way, since, you know, steam engines.
How You Died: Japan, when you look past the glamorous but relatively minor anime/manga industry and all the creepy shit it's spawned, is perhaps one of the most one-dimensional, conformist societies on the planet. The cliques are vicious, social ostracism is commonplace, and above all? The pressure of academic brilliance, the only kind of individualization allowed in a society formed of rigid, unbending tradition, and the one most guaranteed to incite jealousy of the basest kind. This triple threat of paradoxical values has driven Japan, time and again, to the top of the charts - in monetary success, in overall productivity, and in suicide rates per capita.

The girl once named Youmu was part of this system - a speck of dust rising above the rest. Academically, she was exceptional, working with endless fervor on whatever she happened to be told. Socially, she was among the average, the dreaded morass huddling together at the bottom of the social pyramid. If it weren't for her intelligence, she might have passed through life like any other Japanese girl, but alas - she was too smart for her own good. Rising from the latest generation of newly urbanized rural peasants, she diligently worked her way through school, accumulating honors, commendations, and the burning resentment of her wealthier, city-born classmates. Before long, the pressure began to accumulate. Insignificant, she ignored it at first, hoping it might go away. It didn't, and when her tormentors saw her cowardice, they only laughed, and redoubled their efforts. Before long, her renowned composure began to crack, and not too soon after, it broke, leaving another body in Aokigahara and another statistic in some dusty ledger.

As fate would have it, somebody noted the sudden extinguishing of the rising star. The fate of such a perfect Japanese girl - quiet, humble yet willful, supremely intelligent - was considered a shame, and Youmu's soul was snatched back from the void, given a second, not wholly desired, chance, and thrust into the arena for all to see. Japan, of course, thought this a wonderful story worthy of immortalizing in its own show.

You cab read the Archives.

And since the position is vacant I'll enter my character as a Commander of the Mercurius army if that doesn't bother anyone. I'll get post up later today
Vanq commands a quiet respect that carries its own authority. He is the Hitler of NS.

FATED Contestant Profile --

Name: Nick

Age: 20

Appearance:

Image

Gender|Sexuality: Male, heterosexual

Allegiance: Mercurius

Uniform:

Image

Class|Subclass: Trickster, Spymaster.

General Skills: Stealth, observing, calculating, acrobatics, dagger use, lip reading, slight of hands, poison use, disguising & personification.

Class Specific Skills:

Critical Knowledge: He can spot how to make critical attacks against opponents. Whether people or structures, he can get a good summary of its strengths and weaknesses just by getting a good look at it.

Camouflage: he can make himself invisible for a very long duration. Attacking will end it immediately and it takes a bit for it to be ready again. It will muffle sounds he makes greatly, but something like a sneeze will be heard fairly well.

Weapon: Daggers

Personality: Nick is a strategist, studier, and planner. Since he's extremely good at being able to calculate in his head as well as make a good prediction of results so ling as he has enough information. Because of this he likes to know everything and than plan out how to go about dealing with whatever he needs to deal with. However because of this he doesn't act out of instinct and if it's not already been thought through he'll hesitate in doing anything.

How You Died: Died in a car accident on his way back home from his college in the evening.

He lived in an urban American neighborhood until he went to college, and was known for his typical absolute silent observation of everything. He was a exceptional student at school, but didn't socialize or do anything radical, despite his mother's attempts to get him to act a little bit more teenage like. In college he actually ended up in a small group of friends since his roommate started dragging him along to stuff.

The earing he wears was the result of a bet on who could make the best costume. He had done up as a pirate, and made himself as authentic as posible, including getting a real flintlock pistol and swashbucker. Needless to say he wiped the floor when he fired off a blank, scaring the crap out of everyone, and getting a police visit shortly afterwards.
Broadside dead ahead!

No, this comment is not meant to be sarcastic.

Edited my character's armour to make it look more ''Mercurius-like'' and added pics of his swords. And post is up
