Brief Description of Your Group's Recent History: Formed in 1953 by the League of Caucasusian Independence, the Georgian sector broke off from the rest due to disagreements between the leaderships. Starting as a small scale independence group, it has gained infamy for its disregard of Soviet soldiers, kidnapping and killing many while bombing several Soviet-controlled buildings. It wasn't until recently that the group gained global recognition after the assassination of Vasil Mzhavanadze, a man many considered corrupt and was expected to become the First Secretary of Georgia. The bold move lead to the capture and deaths of 12 Free Georgian fighters, which led to an international outcry against the USSR.
Brief Description of Your Group's Agenda (Get independence or increase ties with NATO or Warsaw Pact for instance): Gain independence for Georgia and extend relations with the West while remaining at ease with the USSR.

In 1969, after Gaddafi came to power, they started a failed coup. Ever since then, guerrilla fighting happens all over the place.They are now in a state of war with Gaddafi's forces. Libyan troops cracked down on them, so they became scattered around the country.
Brief Description of Your Group's Agenda (Get independence or increase ties with NATO or Warsaw Pact for instance): They want to get Libya communist, but are still fighting in the country. By making Libya Communist, they can get the Soviets to approve of them, and make other African nations communist.

Spain will have been informed with the rest of the world of Ethiopia's intervention in the Sudan. However, I must confess that I was surprised that Spain of all countries was the first to voice its support for Ethiopia and the South, considering that Spain is presumably still a left-wing republic in this RP and Ethiopia is an autocratic monarchy. Plus I was under the impression that Spain was aligned with the USSR, although browsing back through the OOC has assuaged me of that assumption. Not that I don't welcome the support! If the UK is going to be cozying up to the Arabs, I may have found myself in a bit of a pickle, unless I can persuade the US to weigh in on the Ethiopian side. I don't think that, should open conflict break out between the AFU and Ethiopia, Ethiopia's military would be a match for that of the AFU. Perhaps I would have been wiser opting to play Imperial Iran after all...

Ethiopia was never really strong, not even moderately throughout the 20th centaury. I know Sid Miers is a Genius, but that does not reflect onto here.

Thanks again. But we have gotten a lot more independent since 1960. We started buying weapons from Scandinavians, we started financing our own military, the Russians gave us an entire air wing, and we got plenty of experience from the IDF.
