~There is a meeting of Western nations at The Empire State Building in New York, I hope you'll show up.
~Britain, Ethiopia, the Arab-backed government and various militias in Sudan are fighting in a civil war.
Britain hopes to make Sudan a protectorate before giving it independence in a referendum. Ethiopia wants South Sudan to become The Nile Republic, which would be a puppet state or ally of Ethiopia. The Arab Federal Union (AFU) is supporting the arab government of Sudan, as they hope to have Sudan join the AFU. Britain is backed by most of The West, Japan and Zaire. Ethiopia is backed by the Soviets, North Koreans and the Spanish.
~The US is fighting The VIetnam War still, and recently launched a major assault on Haiphoon Harbour.
~A North Korean naval flotilla was en route to help Ethiopia in Sudan, while it was intercepted by American and Japanese navy ships. The North Koreans attacked the ships and the American and Japanese ships retaliated and attacked back. Now the Japanese are increasing their military presence near the border with North Korea in preparation for a war or invasion. While the Chinese has deployed 250,000 troops to North Korea in preparation for an invasion of South Korea.
~A anarchist group called The Bloom has committed a attack in NYC.
~Mexico joined NATO and invades and annexes the Isla da Juventud in Cuba and the Penten Department of Guatemala, they have now intervened in Sudan and hold an area in Western Sudan which although reinforced by 25,000 troops, has been bombarded by AFU forces.
~The Soviet Union has a meeting with it's fellow Warsaw Pact and Eastern Bloc nations in response to the Western meeting in New York.
~Georgian and Karelian independence movements are formed in the USSR regions/Soviet republics of Georgia and Karelia.
~A group of Danes create an independence movement in Scandinavia, and thus far have not picked up much steam. An independence referendum in Norway was defeated, and Norway has stayed in Scandinavia.
~Congo announces it's intentions to unify the Congos, and plots an invasion of the Soviet satellite of East Congo.
~Various groups sprout up around the world and commit strange attacks around the world such as The Red Revolutionary Front, The Red Army faction, The Bloom, The Army of The 12th Imam, etc.
