Vietnam is a tad bit more urgent. If Sudan does fall, which is unlikely, I doubt the Ethiopians and Arabs have enough strength to hold onto it.

You don't have to abandon the Africans if you join NATO. Plenty of countries joined NATO and then joined the EU, and yet they didn't abandon Europe. You can still have a defence pact with African nations.

Yes, Ethiopia is becoming more and more evil by the day, but I like that as it adds a new dimension to the RP. I wouldn't be surprised if the Soviets open bases in Ethiopia soon like they did in East Congo.

And I would really rather have a real person be the leader of Zaire, versus a fictional one. Yes, Mobutu did awful things but he was the leader of Zaire until it's dissolution in the 90's.
