You do realize the Kaga-class has an sixty plane hangar advantage to Hosho right? With both carriers able to do 28 knots you make life a lot easier than forcing a major combatant to essentially escort the escort carrier.

I thought you were annoyed with having all the main carriers in the front :\

Well now that we're in this quagmire it's better to go all out than do shit half-heartedly. :p Additional hangar space is always a plus no matter what sized aircraft you operate.
Tosa can work better with Kaga anyway since they're sister ships.

Indeed it is my AU. And saying that there are political tensions among nations isn't alright? Please take into logic that there is still a heart of war among fellow countries, whether or not the fate of the human race is at hand. The Washington Naval Treaty is still in effect (how about I turn it straight to the London Navy Treaty since Liberion didn't really take part in that war as much as much, hmm?) as there was thought to be no further need of having large fleets after the First Neuroi War had concluded. The Tosa would have still been made, and scrapped in 1925, long before the appearance of Kaii once more in Hispania.

Are we done with arguments? I just want to continue building a story with simple change of Akagi to Houshou. And that I have already completed.

First, let me clarify. When you say Fuso's 'best witches', they are, at the time, still greenhorns. None had seen the fire of war save for a few of the commanders. Is it wrong for command to send in fresh witches? No.

In fact, if you've read the manga (which I hope you have) all aces-to-be of the Fuso Sea were indeed sent out together during the opening attack. I think it was because... Oh right, they were in a joint formation.

The only few slight differences in this fanfic is that Mio and Junko had already been in training several weeks prior to the event. Also, the carriers in canon were Hoshou and Amagi, which I had sadly forgotten, and will change now. Otherwise, I see nothing wrong with the current situation of things, and simply filling in the spot of a reconnaissance task group with another unit doesn't sound too bad. If you are so confused about defenses, leave that to the other Army and Navy Air Service witches based in Fuso. And the land witches as well.

All in all, the only mistake I made here is that I accidentally named fleet carriers instead of light carriers. I'm quite sure you can calm down now, yes?

To be honest, my real life is killing me right now. I have very little time to devote to anything other than studying.

In view of this, since I don't think anyone has directly interacted with Noriko's squadron/Noriko yet, may I withdraw from Chapter One and have Noriko appear in a subsequent Pacific chapter, perhaps after I clear my A levels in two months' time? I will still monitor the threads.

There won't be any subsequent Pacific chapters considering the Neuroi aren't really going to attack Fuso anymore. Future chapters will be focused on Europe, the Orussian front, and Africa. Though there may be side-plots I'll conjure up later on for Pacific things.

Well, I'm still thinking of what to post. I could have Aliz just drifting along absentmindedly (and generally being an unproductive gnat), but it's kind of hard to make more an a couple of sentences out of it. :V
