Absolutely correct.

Nick is en route upstairs, but parked-ish in motion while more family time and possibly sleeping afterwards happen. (Slobo, they'll see him tomorrow.) Recommending no one tries to interact with him before tomorrow morning unless I'm online and this or another OOC post states that he's available. @Torsi: Interaction with Rmwtyliin is still happening but I may not reply for around 12 hr.

In case I do not return tonight - good night, or whatever time of day it should happen to be in your part of the world when you will be reading this post.

Sleep tight, Fvaar.

Bran and Torsii, I'm too out of it to crank out anything decent for Myra. She was going to go find Lucius, I guess... feel free to write her out of your posts if you'd like. This will give Drova and Torii time to chat.

If set up post is needed I can make one.

Also sorry for being away for a while. Between work, school and my brother's return from Afghan I have been occupied. Almost caught up on HW, just got to finish two more assignments for English and i'll be good to go.

EDIT: And possibly 2 hours dedicated to playing Shogun 2 with my bro.

@Ched, you didn't list computing abilities for Romulus' armor. :p

@GT. The best thing would be to have your characters (whichever you choose to run) turn up in the dining room. It's logical, as characters tend to gather there after a crisis. You'll have to come up with a reason they didn't participate in the night's battle but this can be as simple as "sleep heavy". The new IC's first two posts will give you a description of what transpired right after the jump.

Thriller's suit won't be able to detect anything. The dimension is weird like that. He'll eventually be able to adjust it so it can. 2-way radios work. Anything that relies upon a network or satellite won't.

The dining room contains two groups at two different tables. One is the healer group: Brit, Giovenith, Sandy, Insidious, Adrastus, I believe. The other is a mixed bag of soldiers: Bran, Mon, Flint, Romulus (big guy in power armor), Amara, Marcus.

Myra has gone off in search of people related to pantheons. At the moment, no one can leave the dimension or ascend/descend to other places such as Heaven or Hell (or the Void, as far as Chaos forces go). We'll presume Lucius and Superbia were in the Building when it jumped.

I'm working on a large post that should be up shortly. It'll give you an idea of what's being discussed.

To be fair, Cer. I did say it was General's Power Armor, with various utilities installed in it, one of them being a program that gives strategy and tactics suggestions pretty much. I found this kinda made sense, given that Generals in the Wilhelm Imperium are more often than not, field generals that are in the fray. I also to help make up for Romulus having only one point in strategy and tactics, the power armor helps to that more informed skill, by giving a guide to help him lead, via a varying degree of helpful computing program. I was trying to go for some fridge brilliance here. :P

Hi everyone! I'm getting rather excited about where this is going. As a reminder, Nick's available to the healer group in the dining room if needed or if interaction desired.

As I know some of you like anime and...honestly, probably the vast majority of you based on what you've signed up for and who you've apped like supers/powered rps, I thought this might interest you. It's anime-esque (with some similarities to Homestuck) seems well-planned, and seems to have a fair bit of potential.
(And the earlier version died. I know that the vast majority of you can stick with RPs, and I hate it when I put a huge amount of work into a character who's sans RP a week later.)

I am uncertain of our policy on recruitment attempts and the like, and if this is in violation I'll edit ASAP. Yes, I asked Aona if he wanted me to.

The following, unsurprisingly, occurs well outside of continuity.

(Lights come up in a SMALL ROOM. It appears to be a simple living room, if a little small; a certain DARK BROWN CAT is sitting on an armchair around his height. He faces a TELEVISION and holds a CREAM COLORED sheet of CARDSTOCK.

He glances at the audience and the camera pans out, revealing the LIVING ROOM to be a set upon a stage. As he raises the CARDSTOCK the camera zooms in; downturned BRIGHT BLUE EYES and HALF A NOSE are visible at the top of the screen. Much of the bottom consists of CREAM CARDSTOCK. The EYES narrow. He activates his COLLAR.
)

NICK: Seriously?!

(A VOICE comes from somewhere offstage. Feminine, it's altoish in pitch and echoey in a creepy way. The camera slowly starts zooming out to show the "LIVING ROOM.")

VOICE: Come on, Nick. It's one line. (NICK sits, licking a PAW.) I know you aren't, but I doubt they'll conclude otherwise on the basis of ONE LINE.

(Nick meows plaintively.)

VOICE: The sooner you get it over with, the sooner you can forget it ever happened?

NICK: (Eyes widen) Eyekanuzuvburd!

(A sigh seems to come from everywhere at once.)

VOICE: ...Slower, please. An excited tone of voice would be nice.

(NICK inhales for several counts.)

NICK: I can has hoverboard?

VOICE: Seriously, it's about time and there aren't any available unless you're pretty rich - even those aren't very practical.

(NICK looks left. Tail flicks - then freezes as its owner does the same. CURTAINS in a sumptuous OPALESCENT CRUSHED VELVET slowly cut off our view of the stage. White light fades into cyan...fades into blue...fades away as the curtains close entirely.)

In other news, I saw the remastered My Fair Lady last night - excellently done. Plot did seem to have loose ends in spots but all else was impeccable. Acting, costumes - ooh, those were so cool!

I've nerfed the hell out of the Luxan and Raptor tech in order to allow players to be more physical in their quests for knowledge. Romulus has gained skill points via the armor that he did not have when the character was generated, and the suit negates character action/reaction via handwavium answers.

If armor can plan battle, what is the need for generals at all? I'd expect you to knock a few points off your skill package simply because your general doesn't need to use his brain beyond "Hmm, yeah, this battle plan is the most logical".

Instead, I'd prefer it if you removed those abilities from the suit beyond basic scans and tone down the armor. In trade, we add a couple more points for either tactics or strategy. I often allow players to tweak their basic apps.

A caution to all: tech was nerfed because the quest for knowledge is what makes the story epic. Prim didn't have easy answers ergo Primordial took great pains to help boost the Building's security through direct action (warding the door, placing enchanted objects in the treeline - well done, Prim!)

There will be times when players are given knowledge via TG or IRC which they can then write into their posts. Septimus' optical eye might pick up something wicked lurking in the shadows. Neste or Nick might sense a disturbance in the force (lolz cheap analogy by me). Varona's rifle scope could be used to see at a distance, and her naked (trained) eye picks up movement. These are elements that add to the energy of each scene. They build the tension and offer delicious opportunities for writers to expand their character's actions. Easy-to-come-by answers provided by technology deprive others from a potential quest and, in my opinion, belong in blitz RP where the focus is FPS rather than story crafting.

Old-school also provides opportunities for quirky scenes. Pyro's Night at Freddy's wouldn't have been funny if the security system wasn't dull as hell, and if he had a means to detect every characters' movement.

edit:
To keep the suit's original integrity, we can have Amara hack it (Drones are a potent PL foe - Dani, their original player would have already found a means to corrupt the suit) to take certain programs offline. Not a permanent thing but Romulus would need to use his brain for stuff while he sorts the offline programs.

Post up.

@Swith and Agy. Send your characters up when you're ready. Don't rush their reunion on our account.

@Bran and Torsii. I didn't include the pair in the kitchen other than to have Klaus acknowledge Torii's dedication. The kitchen is exposed to the dining room via a long counter.

@Torsii, Mon, Fvaar. Kelly has been regulated to the woodwork. Perhaps you three could work together to get her more involved in gameplay?

@Ched. Romulus has been around the block a few times. Chances are high that he'll see Amara as grousing rather than directly threatening.

@Prim and Slo. Freeform for you two. You don't have to go to the inn if you'd rather do something else.

@Healer/Warrior group. The post serves to tie in elements. Feel free to chat among yourselves until Sep arrives. I'll have Nila impart info if he's tied up with Neste.

@GT. Now would be a good time to have your characters turn up.

@NVE. I can place a raptor of your choosing in the dining room if you're too bogged down with RL. It's a means to keep your group abreast.

It makes it easier on me as well. The downside is that some players only read posts if their character's name comes up in a search. They have characters in the location but, because I don't mention them by name, they don't read the section.

Swith loves nonsense verse and Carroll's work. Some of it's woven into Galli. She challenged me to use a poem in my post and wrap it into the theme for later use. Challenge accepted.

Our last epic nation adventure involved The Hunting of the Snark (An Agony in 8 Fits). Members in our group played people from our nations that had vague similarities to nine characters in the poem, with Swith's nation providing the Snark/Boojum. It's also why her national animal was a bandersnatch once upon a time. The creature caused the poem's Banker to lose his sanity.
