How much power does it consume to make the hydrogen that goes into the suit?

We'll get in on the next ones, GT. (Unless we don't of course) :p

And my question still stands, can I just re-post the response I made for Bran about waking up to an empty apartment?

Not really sure, actually. On one hand, it'd be nice to have them around. On the other, it'd be kind of a nifty way to get Bran out and about, if his family's missing at the moment, he'd get out and do stuff to be productive to try and get back.

Yup, don't worry GT. Bran's right, there will be plenty of time to visit the city after the initial run. We're doing this to get Ascalon-Building relations set up and to do some initial worldbuilding for it.

It only needs enough spark to jump start the Hydrotectonic V9.1/3 Engine Power Plant's processes to using the water stored in it to power the whole suit (and kinetic motions too if usable). There's only enough room to hold around 2 gallons in it (more with add-ons, which he doesn't have, but could possibly acquire or make), but that tends to last for awhile, for at least a couple days, up to a week, but only assuming power usage isn't too intense. On economy mode, it can last for weeks, but the suit suffers efficiency from that.

Technically it can replenish itself of water from water collection systems built in, takes awhile usually. And it still needs a jump start to start it up again. A sufficient spark really, either electrical, or (dangerously, but quicker) from a gas lighter.

@Ched: Tvthmlaaljvkyf, in answer to your previous question. Decided to give her girls (Venmii, Rmwtyliin) names easier on foreigners partially as a result of a great deal of frustration as Naabviimlikune (crown princess/chief diplomat.)

(Her son Emm is also fairly pronounceable due in large part to masculine naming conventions.)

One more question about the apartment: What other objects/items (expected and random) would be present? Like I'm assuming a typical apartment, modeled out of something from the Wilhelm Imperium, with random stuff here and there that be expected, but nothing too special?

Cer gave a definite reply regarding the suit (he's the OP, so all I can do is offer my best guesses):

Pound for pound, hydrogen contains almost three times as much energy as natural gas, and when consumed its only emission is pure, plain water. But unlike oil and gas, hydrogen is not a fuel. It is a way of storing or transporting energy. You have to make it before you can use it — generally by extracting hydrogen from fossil fuels, or by using electricity to split it from water.

The suit uses "hydrogen and steam". It would make sense to have the suit run on a hydrogen fuel cell stack. Each fuel cell is an anode, a cathode and a proton exchange membrane sandwiched in between. Hydrogen, from a tank on board the vehicle, enters into the anode side of the fuel cell. Oxygen, pulled from the air, enters the cathode side. As the hydrogen molecule encounters the membrane, a catalyst forces it to split into electron and proton. The proton moves through the fuel cell stack and the electron follows an external circuit, delivering current to the electric motor/s and other components. At the cathode side, the proton and electron join again, and then combine with oxygen to form the vehicle’s only tailpipe emission, water. Very efficient.

Romy needs a hydrogen dispenser. No problem. Romy needs a company to deliver the fuel to that dispenser. Problem. We're several dimensions away from "home". Everyone is making due on limited supplies. The only thing that comes "free" in the Building is toilet paper. Once the tank in Romy's apartment hits empty, it stays empty. The character is in the armor constantly, ergo it sucks up power due to movement, peripherals, etc. The same restrictions are in place for everyone's vehicles, for ammo, for medical supplies, and for food.

Romy does not have a hydrogen plant inside his apartment. The reason Neste has a biogarden is because Neste, an xeno, can not strip off her body when she runs out of juice. The biogarden is her primary food source. IIRC, her carpules contain necessary molecules not found on most earth-type planets. Sep's lab came from Thad as a form of payment. Bran acquired his helicopter IC. Cultists built the hangar. The Luxan apartment/embassy had labs prior but also has them listed in the app. Marcus' truck was assigned through the Observatory. The Bela's Jeep was on their app. Thad's rig was seen in the last Drone invasion. Minerva's ship arrived when she did back in the day.

Apartments contain the basic things, and not much in the way of tech outside of perhaps a television (no signal right now) and cooking appliances. Perhaps a few books, some pots and pans, usually a bit of food, linens, sometimes clothing. This prevents players from asspulling weapons, advanced tech, or ammo.

Aha! I wondered if the communal kitchen would stay magically stocked. Apparently not. Ah, well. In the face of overwhelming odds, I'm left with only one option: I'm gonna have to science magic the shit out of this.

Which reminds me: could we get an estimate of how much money our characters found in their pockets? Order of magnitude will do just fine. I'm just trying to figure out if Amanda has the cash to blow on a new smartphone already on the local 'net. The poor woman's going to go into withdrawal soon! :P

Short answer: "How much would a character reasonably have on them - cold, hard cash rather than plastic or gems - at any given time. If it's enough to afford just about anything, it's not allowed. It's reasonable that the average professional would carry as much as I do at any given time, which is @$150-200 in $20s and $10s. Teen characters would carry as much as a normal teen. Marcus has @$40 in change and that's fucking generous. The other teens don't have jobs, do they? Diplomats and ambassadors would understandably have more. I'd say no more than $300-500 on their person. We all come from plastic-governed societies, mostly. No asspulling money. But let's not forget the gold in the basement. It's reasonable to have the Lads break out their booty. Wasn't that the whole purpose for stockpiling it during the Drone invasion? Post-apocalyptic survival?"

Tilt, I think we're looking more at a standard adventure RP campaign. AD&D, Walking Dead, Star Wars, Millennium's End, etc. Every time we've faced a challenge, we handwave so much crap. The sisters had uncountable wealth, the soldiers had more ammo than god has whiskers, the magic users went for hours without actually spending energy. Epic isn't epic unless the hero overcomes the odds.
