I'm also doing it. If you do I think 1,500 a day you should be able to nail it. Not easy but not impossible.

EDIT: I can't math, actually about 1,700 a day (you'll be 1,000 words over but you'll make it).

It's like 1666 words daily to be exact. I mean I guess there isn't anything from stopping someone from going well over that number, and be ahead of the target. It's all doable.

Right now I'm banging my head against a wall trying to come up with a plot.

So far, best I've got is guy and girl travel the world and it becomes a running commentary on their personalities with random plot devices thrown in to mix it up. Total mindless garbage but capable of being stretched out long enough to cover 50,000 words. :p

Since I haven't traveled enough of the world to describe it without stereotypes (just a bit of Europe, the Philippines, and some of the eastern US), I'll be going with traveling the galaxy. Make shit up on the spot and describe the fuck out of everything to pad that wordcount :P

I'm sorta doing that too, but I can't be bothered to make another universe to put that stuff in, so I'm just using the Wilhelm Imperiumverse setting to put it in. Like it's big enough that I can do anything with it, to where I can just have the plot take place in a province with Orwellian style travel of information among citizenry, so it's in own bubble I can whatever with, and have it not really matter on a large scale to the rest of the Imperium.

I trick-or-treated/lead and watched over my little brothers and their friends as they trick-or-treated. "But Gio, you're 18 years old!" Well, if there's anything I learned through growing up as well as actively watching just what kind of people were out trick-or-treating this year, it's this:

Middle schoolers: FUCK YEAH, TRICK-OR-TREAT!!! BEST NIGHT EVER!
Freshmen: Maybe it'll be time to stop soon, but not just yet.
Sophomores: Some of my friends have decided not to go, but I still am. Won't even try with the costume though.
Juniors: Ugh, trick-or-treating is for little kids!
Seniors: I don't even acknowledge Halloween unless I'm going to a party for it.
College kids: FUCK YEAH, TRICK-OR-TREAT!!! BEST NIGHT EVER!

At least in my town. The harder life gets, the less fucks you give, the more little opportunities you seize for happiness. Plus I look really young for my age, so I can kind of get away with it easier too.

I wanted to go Trick-or-treating, but I ended up dressing like a refugee (German fireman's jacket, sweater underneath, camo pants, and a beanie my mom knitted for me) so I could go out in the woods and explore some abandoned buildings with some friends. We got a little worried someone would see us going into the woods, so we scrapped that, and ended up watching Rambo First Blood. :p

Was a fun Halloween, but my expedition into the woods was simply rescheduled.

Agy and I are doing it as well. We could form a support group, if you like.

(I'm not going to have a computer until the 9nth, at the earliest, so I'm not sure how useful I'd be at supporting things? But I will definitely try.)

EDIT: ... Oh hey there was another page.

Very true.

TAB or Gog should collab a novel for Nanowirmo.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Same. I'm kinda doing something, but not so formal as a full novel.

Also, Cer, can you poke the fennec for a min? I'd like her to take a look at something.

A single story, loosely worked out in advance, would work just fine. It might even be worth reading as fiction. :p

A side story to an existing RP would be ideal, if it could be arranged. We'd have established characters and setting, so we can get right into the plot.

A lawyer, a cyborg, a lizard, a time cop, and a space weasel are tasked to get the plot back on track. The end.

The setting might not work because it's heavily infused with PL background. So much to explain. Better to stuff them onto Minerva's ship. Everyone gets two characters, Agy makes up a secondary one for himself. They're tasked by a Chaos god to set shit right in the cosmos, or to sometimes make sure shit goes wrong. Doesn't always often usually go according to plan. The makings of a good comedy, with some drama thrown in. Could be a series of short stories/novellas.

Would need to balance out personalities to make each identifiable to the reader.

Slap it up as a RP somewhere. Edit the posts to make it harmonize in story form.

^ just spitballing there.

Oh, hmm...thanks Cer. I'll make it quick then so she can get back ASAP.

Also, collabing a novel seems slightly different from RP to me. A little. Kinda? We're discussing it in TAB IRC if anyone wants to drop in.

I'll admit, sometimes I do skim over the longer posts, but I've been so used to them having nothing to do with me, or ever being involved with them. I'll post when I come home from Wicked.

Swith's. I'd mentioned it recently:

Northwest Slobovia wrote:

Skyscrapers rose from its base, their lights glittering in the night air. Vehicles traveled its roads, ferrying its inhabitants to their destinations. Had these people no idea about the horror in their own backyard? It seemed the Fiends were either reluctant to go there, or else kept at bay by something unseen.

Sandy had cast the Eyes of the Wolf, so I figured he would count as having enhanced vision, at least for the purposes of knowing the city was there. But unlike char!Bran, he doesn't have telescopic vision, so he wouldn't have seen any detail.

I can't take credit for it. :p That was part of a description Cer pawned off on me. Ghostwriting! I'll likely do the same when it comes to what Kale discovers in the fields.
