Well, In my honest opinion.

the First version saw almost all of the characters turned into Criminals, saw them forced underground (not literally), and Started another End of the War scenario (right after one just happened).

the Second Version sort of just turned into an Endwar, OP Illimanati V everyone, which in the end was more of a Spy movie than a Superhero rp

V1 I wrote myself into a corner.

and in V2 I over-eagerly introduced Anna(belle) which fucked a few things I was planning up. Had I not been hyped up I would've had Alice get framed for killing the president, from there it would culminate into a showdown at Excalibur leading Atlas, Six, the JSDW teams, Jezebel, pretty much everyone but Anna(belle), Osteo, and three test tube babies (Anthony Cross, a slightly different Jason Cain, and a wizard.) to die, and have them start a new force dedicated to get everyone to fight them to stop them from fighting each other to achieve world peace... except Osteo, he was gonna force everyone to make nice and work together by attempting to commit mass genocide...

In my opinion and the vast majority of well read comic folk.

Civil War was a horribly written and executed comic series for numerous reasons.

But chief among them was it didn't feel natural and most characters had complete shifts in their personality just so the executives and writers could put them on a certain team.

Case in point Iron Man/Tony Stark. To anyone reading his comic before Civil War (which wasnt that many people to be honest) his action in Civil War come as a complete bastardization of the character.

Also the problem was the problem. The way it is framed it is obvious the Pro-registration is completely and irrevocably in the right about the way to handle the situation. When you have people walking around who can wipe a city off the map with a thought you defiantly want some kind of control over that. The problem was Marvel wanted the sides to be equally...illogical might be the best word so they had characters on the Pro-registration side do horrible criminal things that were completely out of character.

/rant

My point is that a Civil War idea sound fun and I would like it. But if it happens I think it should feel natural. It shouldn't feel like this just sprouted up because we wanted it to it should flow from preexisting stories and ideas that build up tension and plot.

I used libraries to read almost all the major titles in but I own a rather nice but small collection.
Nu52 Animal Man, Snyders Batman & Swamp Thing, Hellboy, Locke & Key, Marvel Now! New Avengers, and Supergod just to name a few of my favorites.

Its not just that.

Batman has fought Darkseid, the Anti-monitor and all sort of big universe killing threats (winning most of the time) but some how we're suppose to buy that riddler and two face are threats to him?

I like batman a lot but usually only in the horror heavy series like Black Mirror or Serious House, when he goes full bat wank I kinda just tune out.

Let's talk about that one time he wrecked The Flash just by standing there and making him crash into a wall due to his armor being faster.
Let's talk about the fact that Superman versus Batman has been acknowledged as a common occurrence since the both of them met.
Let's talk about the fact he can rule over every fucking person in the universe just by technology.

And he still says the Justice League will stop him if he goes nuts.
The kek is strong with this one.

yes.

Gordon as Batman is a cool concept, maybe if they gave him smaller exo skeletal enhancements to wear under the suit, then it would've been cool.

Except they lost sight of the premisce of Batman, and turned him into a Rabbit exosuit. the Idea of Batman is he uses Fear and Martial arts to take down his foes, with a power suit (THAT IS BRIGHT F*CKING BLUE) they get rid of the idea of him beign scary, and turn it into iron man.

Everyone is entitled to Opinions,
you personally dislike the way they've made Batman in their comic line, I on the other hand, couldn't really care, I like the character and many of the Arcs he's in are alright.

The ones I preferably like are: Forever Evil, Justice League Origins, FInal Crisis, Batman: No mans land.

I can see you have a distaste for the character, so I'll respect yours.

to be fair, if you look at Tony's character over his entire history you'd see he does have a tendency both for knee-jerk reactions and over reacting.

Adam West was the best. No contention...

Anyway, apologies for vanishing. I was on Holiday and ended up with a lot less internet access than originally anticipated.
