Also, It's fine if your character remarks him as volitily insane, It's just that...

After awhile I've become very volitile towards batman comments.

Powers:
- Darkness Manipulation
- Elemental Manipulation
- Telekinesis
- Psychosomatic Illusion
- Magic Aura
- Magic Attacks
- Life-force Absorption
- Semi-Immortality
- Force-field Generation
- Disappearing
Equipment: Magical armor, and a magical sword.
Power Origin: Magic
Weaknesses: The Wraith is entirely dependent on the life-force it eats. When it is hungry, he is both desperate and incredibly weak. He can barely maintain form, let alone cast good spells. He could be easily killed should it find itself incapable of feeding on another soul.
Personality: The Wraith is only concerned with feeding. Greed, fear, desire, and other emotions don't fill the constant, grating hunger he faces every day.
Background: Even the Wraith has forgotten most of his identity, remembering only the basics. He was once a man, an impoverished peasant who toiled day after day under the cruelty of his feudal lords. One day, putting an end to his relentless drudgery, his life set upon its head when his local lord declared his wife was his, and kidnapped her to be defiled.

Unwilling to stand by this, the Wraith took his sharpened hoe and snuck into the castle. He could hear the screams from within, indicating he was too late, and in a fit of blind rage charged at the lord's retinue in a desperate attempt to exact vengeance.

He didn't last a minute.

The guards quickly dispatched him, impaling him upon a sword, before leaving to bleed to death outside the gate. As his wife's screams silenced, and his blood trickled onto the ground, he cursed the world, the heavens, and all those that damned him. His vision blurred, and he knew death was near.

Yet, before he could die, a strange creature arose from the ground. The guards didn't react, evidently unable to see it. The creature, a dark, shadowy cloud of dust, promised him vengeance for a small price. For the simple exchange of serving as the creature's physical host, he would be granted new life, and become an unstoppable force of death.

The man eagerly accepted.

Of course, he did not know what being a "host" meant. His skin melted off, and his muscles turned into a charred, insect-like carapace. His eyes burned into golden lights, while his hair greyed instantly. This all filled him with unspeakable agony, and the guards that were about to dispose of his body screamed at the sight.

The guards were quickly devoured, their life-forces sucked out quickly. They were reduced to withered, skeletal husks, as the man moved into the castle. Blowing the gate apart with a magical blast, he slowly walked in, still screaming from the pain he suffered, yet moving forward with force. Guards, servants, anybody perished in the castle, until he got to the lord's private bedroom.

His wife had indeed been defiled and murdered, just as was expected. The lord, cowering in fear an promising riches in return for mercy, would scream more that night than any mortal should.

Ever since, the Wraith has been feeding on the life-force of whoever he can get his hands on. Called a demon, worshiped by some, yet feared by all, the Wraith has been the object of many folklore legends and religious superstitions since his inception. Now, with the world growing in population, his feast continues, and the more he feeds, the more powerful he gets.

Interesting concept, do you mind specifying how strong each of his powers are?

Appearance: Pictures or descriptions are fine.
Originally, Amanda is 5’5’’, has long brown hair and brown eyes, pale skin, and looks rather average. But, Amanda has never shown her true appearance in public, and barely shows it in private.
Usually, Glitz takes the appearance of a blonde, super model type woman, as shown here

Group Affiliation: (If any) N/A
D&D Alignment: Neutral Good. Doesn’t mind stealing from the rich to keep for herself.
Powers:
Shapeshifting- Can change her body on a molecular level to match that of any other human, including clothing and voice. (though cannot copy powers). Changes her volume, but not her mass.
Stealth tatics
Peak human Agility
Peak human Flexibility
Peak human Reflexes
Peak human Endurance
Enhanced Dexterity.
Skilled linguist- knows English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and German
Master of Hand to Hand Combat
Has proficiency using her bow staff, pistols, and sniper rifle.
Equipment: Bow staff- retractable, highly durable metal staff
two semi-automatic pistols
a collection of other small gadgets that change when she needs them, but usually consists of smoke bombs and a grappling hook.
Power Origin: Mutant and taught.
Weaknesses: Her only true “super power” is Shapeshifting
If a psychic happened to read her mind, they would be able to tell her identity no matter outer appearance.
When she isn’t consciously trying to, Glitz gives similar verbal and physical cues, no matter outer appearance, which someone could pick up on.

Personality: Glitz is cunning, untrustworthy, and very sarcastic at times. Throughout the years, she has developed a “one for all” mentality and feels she must protect her wellbeing above anything else. She is mostly self-interested and will only do things that will directly help her in the end, but sometimes she will help the poor and underserved if she is feeling sympathetic. She has no sympathy for the rich, and commonly steals from them and keeps the goods for herself.

Background: Little is known about the early life of Glitz (she tells a different story every time someone asks), but she started her life of thievery at the age of 18 in Chicago. During her early years she got away with every crime and the police where not able to link her thefts to one person, as she was able to change appearance and easily sneak in and out. She was getting bored with the small thefts, so at the age of 25, she developed the name Glitz and used that as her alias to rob her first federal bank in Chicago. There at the bank was the first time the public saw her shape shift and the authorities then knew they were dealing with an mutant.
From there, Glitz has continued her life of crime, stealing from rich houses or banks, though know, she finds it slightly harder since the police now have an idea of who she is.
During the “Knightfall” arc, Glitz has remained relatively silent and has just been sticking to robbing abandoned houses and businesses, not wanting to risk her life fighting against Stahl.

Super Identity:The Monarch
Real Identity:Castor 'Cas' Betrand
Is the true identity public knowledge or private?Public
Age: 33
Gender:Male
Appearance: Hispanic, either he wears a business suit of variable dark colours or a black military suit, akin to a SWAT outfit, for battle. Always wears a metallic headband worn like a crown.
Hero, Villain, or Neutral?Villain.
Group Affiliation:The Monarchy, his own crime syndicate.
Legal Sanctions: None
D&D Alignment: Chaotic, evil.

Powers:Can generate an impenetrable forcefield around his body. It acts like a suit of armour rather than a cocoon.
equipment: Headband which generates shield mentioned above.

Power Origin Type: Technical
Weaknesses: His Shield not allow for any fine motor control. While wearing it it heats up so using it for any more than ten minutes can lead to overheating related problems. It has no offensive properties. Using any weapon while inside the shield is impossible as the shield would block the weapon from the target. Since the wearer has to breathe the shield allows all gases inside. While not wearing the shield Castor has all the weaknesses of a normal human.
Motivation:Although a case could be made for being insane Cas does have drive for gaining power and control. However to those who see The Monarch as a defender of freedom and a fighter against corruption he preaches almost complete anarchy. But Castor does have one moral motivation, even if he doesn't know it and rarely acts on it, he has shown once or twice that he would like to become an accepted member of western society.

Personality: When calm he is calculating how to exploit or eliminate an individual, organisation or situation, when enraged he is prone to violent outbursts especially when a situation spins out of his control. He has a pathological need to rebel against society, can be incredibly paranoid and is rarely content with what he has. He understands how humans minds work, though he cannot relate to them, and projects a façade of a charismatic personality. Oddly he seems incredibly reliant on second-in-commands almost treating them as friends despite how many die from various causes. Most within his organisation seem to both fear and respected him.

Background: Somewhere in rural Spain there was a small isolated village, the centre of which was a small monastery dedicated to Saint Bertrand. The village had a dwindling population and therefore the monastery had a dwindling supply of monks. After a call of faith a couple in the village gave up their unnamed newborn child they couldn't afford to the monks in return for their salvation and exemption from the monastery's tithe. The boy grew up among the widowed, the orphans and the faithful living in the same village as his parents but never knowing who they were.

The Monks gave him the name Castor, after one of the twins of Gemini, and expected a lot from a child who known nothing but God. But their faith was misplaced. If Castor were given an order he would deliberately misinterpret it, if he were given a law he would go out of his way to find a hole in the instruction. He incited his fellow novices to give only insolence to the monks teachings. If ever any source of outside information ever got to the village he would cling to it, this tiny piece of knowledge of a large unknown world

They had a small, cold crypt deep within the monastery, it was had been rarely used since the century dawned for its purpose had rarely been needed. Its was the only type of worldly punishment the monks could give out. A night in the crypt, the older monks would tell the novices, would haunt your life. If there was a record for number of nights spent in the crypt Castor would have broken it tenfold. The door would close on him chuckling at some various misdeed of various magnitude. Since the cramped room was liked a second bedroom to him the punishment held little sway. Castor though of himself as untouchable within the village, a force with no end, until the day the door closed and did not open after one night or two. Unsure of what would happen, not knowing if he would starve or rot away Castor lashed out against the room's door, beating with his fists for hours. When, finally, the noise could no longer be ignored, one monk opened the door and let Castor loose. The monk found knuckles to his stomach and soon fingers around his throat, squeezing at his life. When it had drained away Castor ran from his kill, ran to the surrounding village and would have ran further but something made him turn around for one last misdeed. So when Castor did leave the village and the monastery he left with a blazing inferno behind him.

The next stage of Castor's life gained a strange repetition about it. He found himself often among the forests and fields of western Europe travelling to the next dry spot, hunting down prey, open to nature's fury and sleeping under the dark sky. This pattern was punctured by intervals in which he would find a city and steal from its houses and shops. The underside of bridges were a change to stars as were beggars and thieves to animals he often fought. But perhaps Castor was too afraid of being stuck in one place again for he would never stay anywhere long enough to know the streets or the people of the location. He kept moving, out of the Iberian peninsula, across southern France, down to the bottom of Italy and finally to the isle of Sicily. And it was Sicily that gave Castor a reason to stop moving.

He arrived in the city of Himera, on the islands northern coast and at first it seemed like any other city Castor ran through. He skulked under bridges, he stole from shops and burgled from houses. But in one such house, a large, pseudo-classical mansion, Castor heard others entering while he was sifting through their possessions. Castor found himself a cupboard to hide in and hoping that soon he would gain an opportunity to escape. However the two large men who entered the house sat down in the room where Castor was sitting and talked for an hour or so. But Castor would have listened for several more for they talked about the most intriguing subject. They spoke of technology of which Castor had never heard of: manipulation over sonic waves, concentration of energy into powerful blasts and creating physical shields by charging the particles of the air. They did not talk speculatively either but as these were items which needed obtaining. When Castor was able to leave, his mind could focus on little else but gaining these instruments.

There are few cities in the world, especially in the ancestral home of one of the largest criminal organisations, which lacks for a underground world and Castor's insertion into it was not hard; he was a street vagrant after all. When an opportunity arose for the exploitation of the homeless to become the delivery men of the city's black market Castor took it with less than ten seconds of thought. Soon after life became more eventful for him. Two months after he joined, when he was regularly delivering the high value goods and the gang he was working for were breaking apart trying to discover who was selling 'commodities' to their rivals. Or five weeks after that when he was in charge of directing the deliveries only he was raised in rank after several of this superiors were tragically killed in a boating accident. Four months after that as he was given the task of controlling the black market when support for the Gang boss suddenly started dropping away. After that it did not take long for all of the organized crime in the city to be under Castor's control.

Castor then set about changing how the gang was run: he started training programs to make sure gang members were qualified instead of picking them off the streets, he had schedules for when the crimes would be committed and he made sure everyone had a specific rank and role. He transformed the gang into a efficient army. Castor also began to monitor his organization to study and stop anyone from rising as high as he did. Finally there were scouts and spies sent out by him to find word of these technologies that he craved.

Word came to him that a lab in northern Europe were sending a crate to Palermo, the capital of Sicily. Castor moved himself and his 'Soldiers' to the city only to find thugs around every corner. Castors identity among the underworld was well know so it wasn't long before he was identified and a vicious week-long gang war took place. It seemed like Castor's better trained grunts were winning until a bizarre sight appeared. A man, Castor thought he was one of the men from the villa, surrounded by a blue, shimmering light with beams firing out of his chest. No bullets would break the shield, no cover would stop the beams. The street around was turned to rubble. But then incredibly, a scream erupted from the blue light and the man was replaced by an explosion filling his shield. He was gone and in his place was a cooling headband. Castor pick up the headband on a rifle, stared at its complicity in switches and flashing lights. The thugs, both his and the others, looked stun as he dropped it into a still-standing fountain. When the headband had cooled he placed it upon his head and declared himself Europe's Monarch.

Since then 'the Monarch' has travelled around Europe running his criminal syndicate dealing with everything from sabotage, corruption, espionage and assassination. But Castor is rarely content with what he has and now his eye is set on a glistening jewel in the west; America.

Appearance: Tanned wrinkled skin, muscular frame, long dark hair, hooked features
Costume:(Image)

Normal: Just a regular old guy in normal clothes
Group Affiliation:none
Legal Sanctions:citizen.
D&D Alignment: Good, lawful
Powers: Animal shape shifting
Equipment: a small totem pole held like a staff.
Power Origin: Magic
Weaknesses: His power is connected to his staff so sepperating him from it would cause him to lose his powers and become just a regular old man.
Personality: He is a cliché old person in fantasy fiction. Kind, thoughtful, and very mentor-ish.
Background: The Totem of Wilder has had a long history. Though to have been made centuries ago, its wood comes from tree that stood alone in a windswept plain. Somehow surviving the harsh conditions it acted as a home for a plethora of passing animals. It served its purpose for many decades till a family of tribesmen, who had been expelled from their home, decided to take the lain as their land. With the only source of nearby timber being the tree they cut it down robbing the creatures nesting their of a home. To honour their gods a crafts men turn a branch of the tree into a totem pole and though it wasn't big it caught his gods attention. Angry at the loss of the tree the gods turned the craftsmen and any others who touching the trees bark into animals. A few did make away and the tale spread to the other tribes all who were eager the test the tree's power. Perhaps the gods anger subdued as the men who were beasts found they could become humans again. This only increased the totems value to the tribe as it became both a weapon and a connection to the Gods. It was passed from tribe to tribe, down trough generation till today. Where it ended in Achak's hands and although he has enjoyed the totems benefit for a long time he is aware that death will take him and he must find a successor to the totem. So the Shaman sets out to find one.

Both accepted... though you might want to beef the Monarch up a bit, he seems a little under-powered.

Age: 17

Appearance:
None

A 5’8 caucasian 17 year old female, eye color varies from hazel, brown, blue, green, red, yellow/gold, or grey.

Group Affiliation: Meta-Academy
D&D Alignment: Neutral Good, her personalities tends to lean towards good, but having multiple personalities make things complicated.
-Multiple Personality Power: Hazel’s mind is inhabited by 6 other personalities, that all have different abilities. They are able to interact with each other via hallucinations. While being quite independent of each other, they cannot control who the dominate personality is, and for how long, switching, every minute, hour, or even days, but on average in seems to be an hour per personality and who the dominate personality does not seem to have a pattern, . But they can choose not be the dominate personality, or choose to “tap out”, to switch control with different personalities, once every hour. The only way to distinguish between the personalities are by their demeanor, power, and eye color.
-Hazel: Hazel eyed, the original and the most balanced personality, being caring and gentle but slightly socially awkward.

-Alice: Brown eyed, with a power to generate “spots”in space, within an field, that allow her to displace people and objects. The “spots” are actually holes in space that leads to an alternate dimension, and by passing through this dimension, and going through other spots she can seemingly teleport, she can even transport just parts of her, such as a fist to attack from distance. The field has maximum area of 10 meter, and she must be able to see to place a spot, she can also place the “spot” anywhere in the field, even mid-air.

-Emily: Blue eyed, with a power of telekinesis, that allow her to manipulate objects within field she emits, which is 5 meters in size.

-Marley: Green eyed, with a power to “split” the personalities into physical bodies, but they have no powers while they are split, and also still share the same nervous system, feeling each other's pain. They also cannot leave more than a mile from the original body, the one Marley is using, and if they ever go over a mile, their bodies disintegrate, and goes back to the original body. Whenever she stops being the dominate personality, all the other

-Maxine: Red eyed, with a power to enhance her strength, speed, durability, regenerative capabilities, and reflex when her body releases adrenaline and noradrenaline, chemicals released during anger. When she is “calm” her power level is at about 1200 lb and immune to small knifes, and her maximum being 10 tons.

-Claudia: Yellow/gold eyed, with a power to extend from her fingertips, nerve ending that can attach themselves to living organisms, to hijack their nervous system, allowing her to use it as her own. The more nerve endings she has attached to a person, the better she can control them, with 5 allowing total motor control.

-Cecilia: Grey Eyed, with powers to summon and proficiently use any whole or parts of musical instruments. Her powers seemingly does not extend to being able to play music to any extent, as she is quite atrocious with them, and is completely tone deaf. The powers seems to have limits on how much she can summon, requiring anywhere from one minutes to an hour to summon an instrument again, depending on size and the complexity of an instrument.
Due to such variety of powers, her body requires time to be able to use powers between personality switches, during which they are powerless, this takes about 10 to 15 minutes.

Equipment:
Power Origin: Genetic
All the personalities have different weaknesses:

-Hazel: Normal human with no powers.

-Alice: The maximum range of the “spot” creation (10 meters), and she must be able to see the place she wants place the spot in. And as long as she doesn't close the spot, it can be used by anyone, even her enemies, and excess use can lead to extreme body fatigue

-Emily: The range of her power (5meter), and over excess use power can put pressure on the brain, leading to something as simple as headache, bloody nose or in extreme cases brain hemorrhaging, aneurysm, or lead to a stroke.

-Marley: While “split” none of them possess powers, they also share the same nervous system, in effect making them a single person in multiple locations, any pain, emotions, or side effects (chemicals, drugs, etc.) affects them as well.

-Maxine: Highly irrational, and can be subdued fairly easily with mental attacks, or any chemicals that affect the production of adrenaline and noradrenaline. She can also be easily baited and tricked, as she usually lets her emotions get in her way of thinking.

-Claudia: The nerves can only extend up 10 meters, and since they are here nerve ending, if they were to be attack, she would feel extreme pain. She can also only control up to two people effectively.

-Cecilia: She can only small instruments quickly, with anything bigger than a cello taking more time. She also cannot summon duplicate instruments over and over again, as it requires to “recharge.”
And since all of them are still physiologically human, they are prone to injuries much like normal people.

Varies via personality

-Hazel: Original and the most balanced personality, being caring and gentle but slightly socially awkward.

-Alice: An extrovert, with as much energy as a puppy, and personality to match, this personality it the friendliest and most sociable, getting easily caught in excitement.

-Emily: This personality is the most resolved, being an introvert, with severe social anxiety, that she covers up with icy front.

-Marley: A usually relaxed personality, that can be brought to extreme seriousness, when a friend is in need, and contrast to popular belief is highly reliable.

-Maxine: A personality that’s quick to anger, and even more to fight, she’s the most troublesome of the personalities.

-Claudia: With a regal personality, being highly condensing to others, quite egotist, she’s to tolerate at times, much less like.

-Cecilia: An uptight personality, that attempts to act like the leader of the group, but has been known to get caught in the moment, and can become increasingly aggressive.

Born in New York City to Andrew Hargrave and Magdalene Julianne, on July, 5th, 1998. Her abnormalities showed up early in her life, what seemingly started with her talking to imaginary “friends”, which were in fact her alter personalities. The parents ignored this thinking that it was a natural activity for a young child to partake in, but things only got worse with her suffering from her first personality shift at the age of 8, when she teleported on top a school. So on fourth her “abnormal, inappropriate, and disrespectful behavior,” as the schools put it, would force her to constantly move schools, not being able to stay in school for longer than two years from the age of 8 to 13.
As she turned 13 her personalities were finally able to cooperate with each other, allowing her to enter high school, as a (more or less) normally functioning student, until that is when she told her parents about her multiple personalities. This caused her parents to put her in an mental institution, for dissociative identity disorder, but after a few weeks of a case study it seemed very obvious to everyone involved that her mental state was the last of their concerns. And as protocol the doctor contacted the government, and in extension the Academy, which she was forced to transfer to.

Essentially it depends on how much he's fed. The more he has fed, the more powerful he is, and the easier it is for him to feed. Conversely, the less he feeds, the weaker his powers get, until he gets to the point he can't cast anything.

Hey guys, I was thinking of putting up another app., and the character is going to be a magic related character. So I was wondering if there already established rules/limits and/or lore behind magic in this universe, that I should take in account when making the character.

I want this char in the RP! That is a very interesting build

Thanks, I've caught up on the RP, should I just jump in, or wait a bit?

Absolutely, jump right in... or otherwise we can get an introductory post from someone to bring you in.

Well I'm pretty relaxed about magic working however you want it to. We can always say your char interacts with the magic field in a different way or something. The only established things are summoning/protection circles... Oh and there are fairy characters.

Personality: Can switch depending on which emotional entity has more control over him
Background: Eric didn't have the 'normal' life that a lot of people do. He lost his mother to tuberculosis when he was 6 and his father was an abusive alcoholic. At age 15, he entered a great stage of depression and was later diagnosed as Bi Polar when he was 17. When he turned 20, something happened that he never imagined. Several entities, representing several emotions, took over his body. Now, he lives his life with the constant voices from the entities, and living with the damage that each one causes when it becomes dominant. He was somewhat learned to keep several dangerous emotions, like Wrath and Fear, while trying to keep an open mind to suggestions made by the more helpful emotions. He has also noticed that he can influence the emotions of others when they are near him. If he feels hopeful, then he can influence that emotion into another person.

If missed

Add another weakness... like light or something. Otherwise he can snack on NPCs all day and turn himself into a demi-God.

Super Identity: Kitsune
Real Identity: Yuna Bay
Is the true identity public knowledge or private? Private
Hero, Villain, or Neutral? Neutral
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Appearance: Pictures or descriptions are fine.
How she looks in her kitsune form. In her human form she looks the same, just without the ears or the tails.
costume is similar to the smaller girl's
Group Affiliation: (If any) NA
D&D Alignment: Neutral good
Powers:
Kitsune Physiology- Can change into her Kitsune form and gain Enhanced senses, speed, stamina, strength, endurance, predator instinct, claw retraction, and 3 tails her age. (Kitsunes are born with one tail and gain another every 5 years)
Fox Fire: Can summon up to 9 fist sized, golden fire orbs which she can manipulate.
Flow Motion
Ages much slower than an average human.
Charm Speaking- Can highly persuade others to do what she wants.
Equipment: Golden Samurai Sword
Power Origin: Genetic
Weaknesses:
She can only access any of her powers while in her Kitsune mode, which makes her noticeable as she gains ears and tails.
Controlling her fox fire takes a large amount of concentration, so to be able to control all 9, she wouldnt be able to do anything else.
Charm Speaking cannot make a person do something they would never do, merely push them to do something they are thinking about doing. (Couldnt make the Dark Knight kill a person)
While in Kitsune mode, her predator instinct can sometimes make her loose focus of her original goal in order to go hunt animals like rabbits or birds.
Personality: Yuna is very apprehensive and cautious of interacting and trusting strangers, but if she gets to know and like you she becomes very kind and helpful, sometimes on the end of too helpful. Like many kitsunes and foxes, she has a trickster side and likes to play pranks on unsuspecting civilians.
Background: Yuna's mother was a Kitsune from a pure line that lived in Japan. There, she met a traveller from America and fell in love with him, as it is easy for Kitsune's to do. She left her family and moved to Chciago with the man and they had a child, Yuna. The Kitsune's family did not like the fact that she ran away, and definitely did not like that she broke the tradition being a pure-bred family, so they sent an assassin to kill the family in America. By the time Yuna was 5, the assassin had tracked down the family and was successful in killing Yuna's parents, but her mother was able to kill the assassin as well.
From there, Yuna was in and out of different foster care homes till the age of 12 when she decided to leave the system and fend for her own out on the streets. She usually gets by through committing petty theft.
Future (how she will be introduced)- I want her to try to steal from my other character Glitz, and after proving unsuccessful, Glitz will offer the struggling meta-human a chance of being her side-kick for the time being.

What are the rules on summoning? Is it the amount you can summon? Or something else?

Question,
Are there any plans to expand upon the limiting factor of the rp's world, since it currently seems we can only rp in two cities (which seems limiting considering many other rp's rarely do this). Maybe a world wide thread or maybe a misc city thread in case someone wanted to go to Las Vegas, LA, etc.

also can i get my Characters added to the app links on the Character Vault
