Yeah good luck with that process since you need to first find someone in my setting before you can dissect them and even than who is to say that dissecting them would bring you any results on learning on how thier magic works.

I think Eridan would like them.

Yeah really hard to like a faction that would both kill and dissect them because of their powers.

I'll take this chance to practice writing Kyubey.

Kyubey: I believe you humans have a saying that "Sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic and vice-versa."
Kyubey: For a nation that prides itself on their Science and Technology, you seem incapable of understanding that all things can be studied and understood. This "Magic" as you call it, is simply another branch of Science you have yet to tackle properly.
Kyubey: Much like your ancestors, you are still cavemen afraid of fire.
Kyubey: Then again, what else should we expect from a barely sentient species?

This came off more arrogant than I'd like and seems too showy for the Incubator, but oh well, I'll do better next time!

Take note, Kyubey doesn't see humans as a sapient species. To him, humans are sentient. Basically smart animals.

I suggest the Union keep this negative stance against magic. It can provide friction and drama among the good guys and those are always handy for Character Development.

This.

I too suggest on them keeping a negative stance on magic if nothing else than it would create both tension and drama for the heroes along with being a Grwat chance for character development for everyone, even the union.

Writing kids is actually fun.

I should do it more often.

EDIT: 404 and Pet. I'm gonna use a mix of post-Arthur Camelot and my own fantasy made world so don't be surprised if things aren't exactly as people imagined it.
Dammit, I forgot about Homura. Adding that now.

EDIT 2: AAAAAAAAAAAAND DONE

What we have to say back:
"TREASON!!!! OH MY GOD SOMEONE IS TALKING SMACK ABOUT US!! WE AREN'T SOME STUPID ANIMALS, WE ARE THE GREATEST SPECIES EVERRRR!!" -Angry Crazy Government people and scientists.
"Well, you do have to admit, we are rather hyprocritical, I mean, Requiem Technology is basically magic in sense. Plus, that thing's race has probably been around longer than us."-Sensible Scientist
"WHAT! YOU MUST BE CRAZY! HE'S A TRAITOR!! ARREST HIM!!!" -Crazy patriotic scientist.
"Oh dear, this argument again. This is going to be a long day."

Argument stops as Revolutionary National Anthem Plays (think Soviet Anthem).

Well, that some was some reaction. Don't worry about them though, they're over their heads (the crazy guy). However, don't use this to judge the common Union Citizen. Our citizens are actually some of the nicest people out there, as even strangers are treated as fellow comrades (regardless who you are).

As the First Citizen would say: "I do believe everyone has their flaws, but I still think humanity has the potential to be great. I mean, look at the Requiem, they were all powerful. Superstition and false blame won't get us anywhere, only acceptance and reason. To whoever said this, please don't look down on the people, there are those good among us. Thank You."

As for the Union's overall involvement, don't expect too much for now (just wait until those scientists reverse engineer more Requiem tech).Do remember that the Trans-Universal Web is up, so you can chat with The First Citizen if you like! :)

Quick fact about Requiem Tech: 270 billion years of development gets results. If you want tech support, ask the First Citizen, he may know something about all this.

The First Citizen's backstory

Postby Aterrian Union » Sun Nov 15, 2015 10:48 am

How would your character respond to this story of The Requiem?

The Fall of The Requiem and the Birth of The First Citizen:
A long time ago, in a multiverse, far far away, a world existed. It was as "Earth" by its inhabitants, and it was the cradle of mankind. Our story starts with the birth of a certain human in year 2001. There was nothing particularly special about him; he was of asian decent, had black hair, and an above average IQ at best. His life was uneventful, until he volunteered for a cryogenic experiment. After entering his pod, he was frozen for many millennia. When awakened by Earth's distant descendants, he was surprised to find himself not in the USA, but on Epsilon Eridani. He continued a rather boring life, although during that time he received many augmentations and genetic enhancements. He also received loads of scars from battle, as he served in the UFMC (United Federation Marine Corps) for over 1000 years. Skip millions of years, and you enter the Collective; a group of hyper-advanced trans-humans inhabiting many universes. By now, this man had been dubbed OL-781, and was a head researcher for Multi-Universe Creation and other incomprehensible technobabble. Eventually, the God of the Multiverse; who happened just to be called "God", took notice of said puny mortals messing with his domain. As punishment, he nearly annihilated humanity, casting them back to their dying world of Earth. However, OL-781 would never forget this. As God turned his attention to other advanced rowdy alien races, humanity quickly spread back, becoming larger than ever. The Requiem was founded in 240,000,000,000 AD, with OL-781 as one of its leaders. The Requiem was more powerful than the Collective ever was; using technology even sci-fi authors couldn't think of. At its height, God saw The Requiem as a threat. Essentially The Requiem was fighting Reality and God, and this didn't turn out well. Trillions of Universes were genocided as The Requiem tried desperately to hold out against God's infinite "angels" and servants. This war lasted 30 Billion years, and victory seemed impossible. Even the Requiem's most powerful super-weapons, such as the One-Mech (see Elder God Demonbane from Demonbane) failed to stem the tide. In last act of defiance, OL-781 ordered the firing of the Ark Stations; massive Galaxy sized weapons all over the multi-verse. In the resulting carnage, the multi-verse imploded, killing everything: God, The Requiem, and all existence. Only OL-781's small pocket universe survived; even he didn't make it. However, OL-781's QIP (Quantum Identity Pattern, basically his soul), escaped with the Universe. When nearing the edge of the current universe, OL-781's QIP was deposited in an old testing universe, where it eventually was reborn. It had been so very long, as if the Requiem still existed, that date would be 1.78 quadrillion AD. This human, would once again in the future rise to greatness; He was The First Citizen.

The Requiem lives on in children's stories and sci-fi novels, only a few know its true history. The First Citizen's QIP has become hidden from his mind, and he remembers almost nothing (if you can mind read though, you'll see his story)

**This story was accidentally released on the Trans-Universal Web!! Luckily not many people know who The First Citizen is, others think it's fiction.
There you go, please comment from your character(s)' perpective if you can. Thanks a lot! ;)

Yeah except the world that I made is one were the world is secretly being rule by supernatural God-like beings who can bend reality to their will. Sononcevthevpowers at be realize that normal programming methods won't work than they will use magic along with other supernatural powers to stop the spread of otherworldly materials.

You're still going to have a lot of leaked info from the initial messaging, yep, those deep-web people, and probably some guys who were browsing the internet at the time.

We have 3 songs everyone will hear sooner or later.
1. The People's Revolutionary Anthem (Soviet National Anthem)
2. The Universal Socialist Republic (The Socialist World Republic)
3. Union Army Military March #1 (Soviet March Red Alert 3)

No, not really. Much like Kyubey, those supernatural beings probably have complete control over their universe's information systems. They are capable of stopping any form of information from leaking into their territories because a). They're sufficiently advanced in the case of the incubators (You need a Multiversal Reality Warper to even register in their radar and even then, they'll find a way to subvert you) or b.) Magic and local Omnipotence.

The reason why I haven't used Kyubey to reply to the Union yet is because I'm still undecided if his home universe is dead or alive. I can't use another Kyubey because that would be against the rules sooo...

Don't forget The First Citizen's backstory!
About the Transmition problem, since it is now revealed to most of the Union that their leader has access to a hyper-advanced pocket universe, a lot of people will be pushing him to retrieve tech; a Multiversal Reality Warper being one (the requiem used this for "basic" construction and GPS in a way. Don't forget the Multiverse teleporter either! That will come in handy). Of course, the First Citizen is still trying to realize his own story, as he is suffering what could be called severe amnesia.
I do recommend listening to the Soviet Nation Anthem in English, it isn't half bad. In the case for songs, we'll just send them by drone. I don't see the problem with some music, right?

You maaaaay be veering into godmod territory with your tech (especially the reality warping one).

Tone it down and ask Aet if it can be allowed.

As for the Soviet's Anthem, thanks but I prefer listening to the anthem of winners *Bald eagle screech* :p

Remember, The First Citizen is the only one with any idea how any Requiem tech works. He's probably not going to get involved with it's reverse engineering, as he's too busy managing state affairs anyways. Union scientists barely know how to operate said tech.

As mentioned below you have both magic and local omnipotence to deal with when it comes to the leak along with servants who are computer wizards on the net (I mean that both ways). Granted the information can spread due to multiple reasons. First being that it is the Internet, things really disappear in there, they are just thrown into forgotten corners were most can't find them.

Second would be that competing powers would make the leak stay and if it disappear make copies and spread those, not all of the powers at be work together now. Finally we have natural human hackers and curious deep web explores who if they find it on the deep web would most likely bring it up to the surface.

But it won't spread like it was the greatest news in the world, if anything it would receive the same attention like the John Titor story from a while back.

Naval Monte- The Mediterranean crossroads of mind-controlling conspiracies, twisted dimensions, inhuman depravity, questionable science, unholy commerce, heretical faiths, absurd politics, and cutting-edge art.

Make wonderful memories here, in Naval Monte.

It's all good then. :)

As long as no big hitters come into play, all should be fine and the deployment of powers like those will probably need a thumbs up from the Aet and his Co-Ops.

EDIT: I do like how there are still traces of the Imperium in the Union, what with all the hate against sorcery and trauma from new designs growing tentacles and eating people is still there. Makes them interesting.

Yep, the old Imperium still has some traces. I mean, most citizens can trace their lineage to the age of the Imperium. Other problems include non-human rights (not pure human included), xenophobia, and with conservative people; religion. For the first 2, an amendment on rights is being voted on in upper congress soon. As for religion, it's banned.

Fear against the Chaos Gods is still going strong, eh?

I remember the Imperium being somewhat open minded with humanoids that aren't the Orks (The best race), Eldar (Sissies), or the Tau (So anime) as citizens and part of their military. Didn't they have Cat Girls in the Imperial Guard or was it one of the many PDFs?

The guardsman that faced down Horus was even supposedly Christian.

But I guess the centralized Imperium culture won over the ones that weren't in the Solar System (Probably because a majority of them were eaten).

The Imperium only dealed with said xenos in utmost important cases. Usually it was KILL IT WITH FIRE!!! We do have catgirls, and those are one of the few races that fought in the Union's Great Revolutionary war, so they have full rights. All other abhuman races are there as well (Ogryns to a low extent now and even squats). They also have full rights in our case. About Ollanius Pious, yeah he was a catholic. Apparently that guy fought in the first world war! The Chaos gods don't really exist anymore thanks to reverse-engineered Necron tech. Yes though, people are taught about them in history class and some still fear corruption.

You forgot Tyranids (big bugs), and Necrons (metal skeletons).
Not pure human refers to those that have strange abilities or are too genetically different.

Well, the Tyranids don't really look human but I got no excuse for forgetting about 2nd Best Race. (The third would be the Imperium because HUMANITY)

Would my characters count as pure humans or not? Obviously, Kyubey's a bunnycat but what about my Magical Girls?
