Admittedly, the Fog may be getting waaaaaay over their heads if they fight 40K ships-that-lol-at-your-planet-and-everything-on-it.
Gonna have to fix that with tech-stealing/sharing. Kongou's not the type to do that though, maybe the Supreme Flagship's entourage or the Scarlet Fleet.
Ah well, not gonna have to worry about that until majority of the relics are gone and done. For now, I'll focus on developing the MGs and their relationship with their co-workers.

Star Fox is successful in destroying the Death Star, but only after a mass evacuation ordered directly by Vader himself. The Imperials decide to track down who destroyed their Death Star, and quickly find out the connections between the Star Fox Mercs and the Cornerian Military, and declare war on Corneria. Corneria, newly allied with the UASWR, fights back. Venom, lead by Andross, sees this as a prime opportunity, and creates a treaty with the Imperials. Their numbers combined create a bit of a stale mate.
Then comes the Fleet of Fog, which will probably wind up choosing their side based on who has more humans on it, and destroy that one. Or, they could try attacking both (and probably get creamed in the process). Or do whatever. Not sure how they'd fit into this.

It also took James Mcloud an 80 year loan. Now take into account the Union's MK-2 Battleship. It's 15km long, and it's only a battleship. While it definitely loses in the mobility, speed and cool-looking department, remember that the Union can churn out these metal boxes millions a year if they have to (the massive population and industrial base). In upcoming diplomatic talks, I see spaceship and space fleet size as a topic.
Apto talked about the armor, now let's talk about that 80 year loan.
The Star Fox team is a mercenary group. So, the ship was being paid for by 1 guy who has a pretty low-paying job (after fuel costs and such). The Cornerian government itself could probably make tons of models of the Great Fox if it wanted to. It's like if you wanted to buy a ship irl. You'd probably have an insanely long-lasting loan to pay off, too. Yet, the governments can usually mass produce them, if they have even a decent economy.

My ships are large because most 40k ships were large. We needed to fight Imperial Ships head on.

That's gonna be a problem for you if you go against Venomian ships. They're a bit smaller (like the Cornerian ships are). However, what they lack in power, they make up for in sheer number (rather like the Galactic Empire in Star Wars).

Species: Human
Universe of Origin: Pokemon (OC)
Backstory: Born in Kanto, he had a Pichu as a small child. His family moved to Olivine City, Johto, when he was 3 (where he received a Cyndaquil as a gift). They later moved to Hoenn the next year (where he caught a Pokemon for the first time (with his mother's help), it being a mudkip).* After his parents divorced, his mother gained custody, and they moved to the Sinnoh Region and settled down. Dan eventually started his journey in the Sinnoh region early, at the age of 9 1/2 (while most start between the ages of 11-13), choosing Turtwig as a starter. He made his way through the Sinnoh region, eventually coming into contact with a young Cynthia in Veilstone City and befriending her. After a fierce competition for the championship title, Cynthia defeated Dan. However, this did not dampen his team's spirits. After exchanging contact information, Dan went on his separate way, travelling through Kanto (where he caught the pidgey that would become Nightwing), Johto, Hoenn (where he caught the aron that would become Akrohm), and Unova, ranking at least finalist in each tournament. He then moved to the Sahtoni region, North of Kanto and Johto. There, he was able to defeat all eight gyms, before disaster struck. a third resurgence in Team Rocket saw to the creation of another mewtwo. In the hands of a rather irresponsible Team Rocket Executive, the Mewtwo wreaked havoc upon Sahtoni. With help from the Global Police, Lance (of all people), and Cynthia, Dan was able to defeat Team Rocket III and their mewtwo. Throughout his travels, he has also aided Lance, Cynthia, and Professor Oak in several operations. He currently is in the Orange Islands, looking to get his third badge, and plans on visiting Kalos and the Battle Frontiers and Battle Towers afterward.
*His father's military job had him moving around frequently.
Powers and Abilities: Expert strategist, good caretaker, good with wilderness and urban survival, martial artist.
Weaknesses: Dan is a plain human. Different pokemon have different type weaknesses.
Destructive Capacity: Human level (pokemon range usually up to building level, with swampert reaching city block level, and aggron reaching up slightly higher)
Speed: human level (pokemon range from 0.6 m/s (torterra's walking speed), 8 m/s (torterra's physical attack speed, unless boosted by some other move), all the way up to 100 m/s (some general move-assisted speeds for slower pokemon), with considerable speeds reached by Pidgeot and Raichu (pidgeot can fly at Mach II, and Dan's Raichu can hit up to Mach 10 with quick attack or agility (this is actually from the OBD wiki), and slightly faster with extremespeed)).
Durability: Human level (pokemon generally range up to small or large building level, but can be killed under rare circumstances by human-level attacks).
Lifting Strength: Human level (pokemon range up to somewhere between Class 10 and Class 25, for Aggron and Swampert, Class 5 for Typhlosion, somewhere between class 1 and class 5 for Pidgeot and Raichu, and theoretically up to class 50 for Torterra; Torterra, seeing as it's a turtle, would find it difficult to lift things, but if you used a pulley, it could carry a lot of weight. It's just insanely slow).
Striking Strength: Human level (pokemon range up to Class MJ: Megajoule class, high-end, with earthquake being an outlier, reaching up to Class GJ: Gigajoule class)
Stamina: High
Standard Equipment: PokeGear, PokeNav, Pokedex, some food, money, compass, maps and guides on the region he's in, paper, pens. Keeps his pokemon on his belt, and has a small bag containing some healing items (such as revives and full restores) that is on the inside of his trench coat.
Pokemon on his team: Raichu (Rai), Typhlosion, Swampert, Torterra (Terra), Pidgeot (Nightwing), and Aggron (Akrohm).
Intelligence: High

Heheh.
Marguerite will get confused, Agent A (if he ever meets the Trainer Dan) will get rekt from mistaking him for Tadz (who in all practicality, can not come close to a pokemon's power), and the Bountyhunter won't remember who to kill.
But don't worry, there's an easy way to tell the difference! Just ask yourself, which color is his trench coat?

If only one had a beard, then I could quote Undertale when the two end up in the same room.
