I was thinking that they would've happened, just without much territorial change. The Swedes and Danes were bogged down in a stalemate, with neither side making significant gains. Because the Swedes managed to occupy Northern Norway, it was formally given to Sweden by the war's end, leaving Denmark with its Swedish lands.

Any input is welcome, considering this is a very rough gist of the scenario.
