The Shahanshah has to be careful Al Balkani and Abbasid have very strong claims to the throne.

The Shahanshah does not really want Rum per say, he is more interested in the effects it any conflict would have on the wider region.

If war did happen, Persia would support the Mughals (Persia's close allies) if they chose to make a claim (which they have a right to but they are a long way off)
