Republic Battalions and Bull Legions stood on opposite sides of the Colorado, in an arms race for a historic battle, one that would stain the Mojave sands red with blood. Thousands of soldiers from each side were preparing to fight and die for their leaders. Meanwhile the Courier braved The Divide. He spared Ulysses and fought off the Marked Men, as brothers in arms with him. That faithful day, the courier sealed the fate of both sides. The very weapons that caused the annihilation of the Old World ended the New World. And it was, that both sides ended with a bang. Both losing the war, because of one man.

The Long 15 and Dry Wells were one of many targets on each side that were vaporized. The NCR, was finally broken, cut off from New Vegas, having no more available supply routes. The Legion, were equally halted, with Dry Wells gone, they had very little keeping them in contact with the east. Soon, they were completely cut off. Trapped in New Vegas with their NCR counterparts. Both sides were broken, and neither could risk war. A ceasefire was brokered and the armies retreated to their bases.

The NCR pulled out of most settlements and garrisoned three places. Forlorn Hope, Hoover Dam, and McCarin. The Legion retreated to The Fort and Cottonwood Cove. Most ranger stations were abandoned, with only strategic ones being reinforced. Meanwhile Brotherhood of Steel soldiers garrisoned Helios 1, and the Great Khans were attacked by rouge Legion troops who were trying to take over their tribe. The Great Khans repelled the attack with minimum casualties and with most Legion aggressors dead.

Goodsprings, Prim, and Sloan banded together to survive the recent power shift. With NCR troops out of Prim and the Mojave Outpost, they were more vournable to Powder Gangers and wildlife. The three towns managed to form a militia and fight back. Soon the three captured NCRCF and most of the Powder Gangers. Soon Nipton was annexed, and rebuilded. South Vegas soon was back on it's feet again, more powerful than ever.

The North faired much better. With the sudden influx of troops at McCarian, they could finally properly fight the Fiends. With the help of locals, they exterminated the Fiends, and made the city safe. Mr.House never aquired the platinum chip, but his Securitron army was strong enough to defend The Strip. The Kings were attacked by NCR Squaters and angry troops, and were wiped out. The Followers helped Freeside recover from the battle, and soon Freeside recovered.

The Enclave Remnants Bunker was never found, and in now hidden even better behind a defensive line set up by Jackob's Town. The Super Mutants set up defenses to prepare in case any outside faction ever tried to attack them. They haven't been attacked yet, but angry Mercenaries harass them every now and then.

Novac was soon annexed by the Brotherhood Of Steel, and although locals weren't happy at first, they accepted the Brotherhood, mostly for their protection. REPCONN was also annexed soon after. Most of the Super Mutants flead to Jackob's Town, and the Ghouls were mostly killed, with a few escapes. The entire region is under Brotherhood control, and is well protected. Locals aren't allowed to join the army, but they do have militias incase they can't rely on their Brotherhood defenders.

Although in their weakened state, the NCR and Legion were a force to be reckoned with. Most other factions posed little to moderate threat to the two armies. Most of the New Vegas factions are fond of the NCR, because they are simply the lesser then two evils. The Legion rarely crosses west of the Colorado, and they even abanded Nelson. The NCR rescued the survivors and garrisoned the town, to make sure no one uses it to launch an attack on Forlorn Hope.

The courier came back to New Vegas briefly after The Launch, and was hated by the Legion and NCR. He didn't remain long, only staying long enough to gather his things and say goodbye to his friends and companions. Rumors about his exile from the Mojave vary. Some say he returned to The Divide and teamed with Ulysses, others say he went to Zion to help the Crazy Horses. Others say he vanished to the Big Empty, or got trapped in the Serria Maudre. But his legacy remains, of him single handedly ending a war that would've surely been the end of New Vegas.



Alright, now if you're anything like me, you didn't read the entire post, so here's the short version. The courier launched the nuclear warheads at both armies from The Divide, so what remaining armies in Vegas are currently trapped in the Desert. The Legion fell back to east of The Colorado River, mainly to The Fort, and the NCR has piled their troops on the west side. The city of Vegas is a much safer place, with most gangs, The Kings, The Fiends, Jackals and common muggers being wiped out. South Vegas, is mostly secure with Powder Gangers gone, and not much trouble from the Khans. The towns there have developed a confederation and have mostly secured the area.

The BoS have annexed the REPCONN HQ, Novac, and Helios 1, securing the entire territory. They have a ceasefire agreement with the NCR. They did raid the Silver Rush Casino, and they have the most energy weapons in Vegas. The Boomers, did recover their B-29, but they remained neutral, and remain isolated. The Followers helped Freeside with humanitarian projects, and provide free water to Freeside. The Remnants remain secret, and their bunker his hidden, behind a defensive line of super mutants. Most other factions are open to worldbuilding, as long as I, or a Co-OP give permission.

Faction Bio: Robert Edwin House is many things. A Genius, a Gentleman, perhaps the richest person currently alive, and the holder of the one of the Largest Remnants of humanity. New Vegas. How this came about is as follows:

Robert Edwin House predicted the war, preparing his systems to intercept the missiles as they Fell and the turrets atop the Lucky 38 to intercept the rest. He interred himself in an LS chamber, and waited. When the bombs fell, his plan worked perfectly, asides for the small downside of it leaving him unconscious and in a coma for several decades. The Lucky 38 regained power In 2138, House gauged the outside situation before his securitrons emerged in 2274. He gathered the tribals living in Vegas and put them to work as the Three Families, giving them each one of the remaining casinos to maintain, rebuild and operate, in exchange for their services as protectors and managers of Vegas. His Securitron army took position, and he was ready just in time to meet the NCR on equal footing, signing a treaty with the NCR to grant them Mccarran airport, an embassy in the strip, and Hoove Dam, on the condition that 5% of it's power went to Vegas. And such was how it stayed, until, on one fateful evening, two shots rang out over Goodsprings, and the courier fell into a grave that would not quite hold them.

The Courier barely talked with House, stepping past him and onward to his own folly. House was resentful and angry. He withdrew to Vegas entirely, consolidating himself, furious in the knowledge of his loss, not having his one trump card to steal back his chip. Benny was growing bolder, and he had no way to take his Chip. His ambition remains, and he slowly, slowly plans out his revenge. Ever eager to wath the life drain from Benny's face. He had taken Yes-Man out of the equation, silencing Benny's trump card in response to the loss of his own, due to the luckily noticed connection between Benny and Emilly Ortal. Ortal was interrogated, and Yes Man found out, and destroyed. When the Courier's folly took hold, No-one was as furious as house. He had lost customers and tourists in droves, and the ruination of Legion and NCR had never been his Goal. He quietly, pleasantly plotted, a smile on his face, a singsong yet businesslike tone flowing through artificial speakers out to those few with whom he Communed.

Now, here he sits, his empire crafted before him,the problems of NCR and Legion gone for the time being. At the same time, much, much fewer customers. What few reach Vegas are either very determined, or very wealthy. Still, House has faith. Over time, the radiation will fade. Vegas had lasted 200 years, it could outlast the Radiation, and it could wait for the NCR to return, or whatever it'd be when it returned. In the mean time, profit flowed, caps pooled, Securitrons rolled, and blood was spilled. The Difference? Now, there was neon flashing in the reflection.
Faction Goals: Annihilate Benny, and all of his hopes, dreams and Legacy, Tear the Chip From him and activate the army in it's entirety. Oh, and Rebuild Humanity.

Nerf your numbers down to 150 Securitrons and drop the Kings (Due to their destruction), and we have a deal.

Faction Bio: When Thomas Martin was a child, he grew up in a settlement made in a United States Military Base, NCR owned, when Thomas turned 18 he served in the NCR, By the time he was 20 he joined the Special Operations, After a couple tours, Thomas went back to his settlement, to see what has happened. When Scrounging through a newly opened barracks. He found a holotape. While playing the Holotape be discovered something called. "Delta Force". This inspired him to look through files. He later found a handbook of Delta Force Training. He studied the manual word for word, and when he turned 30 he started his own Mercenary group based off of Delta Force. Him and his friends stared out. Only the strong would make it. After they established their main command. They recruited more. Their main armor is Combat Armor with the Delta Force Logo painted on it. With the training so hard. Only 16 operators have made it so far. With the numbers so small. Operators can get very good weapons. With the new happenings in the Mojave. Their base in the highway patrol building. Delta Operations is ready to make profit and help out a bit too.

Yeah, no.

If you really want to do something with mercenaries, how about a rouge NCR company. You'll only have about 20-30 guys and no energy weapons.

Well, most vaults were equipped for 500 people, and after the people left vault 34(if I'm correct that's the vault where they came from) and a few stayed in the vault, and a lot died after they left, let's say about 200-250.
