With the speed boosts, how MUCH of a boost? What is the approximate speed the character can do. Also, how much force does the earth god thing do? What do the other trinkets do? What are the techs like? Any limits/downside? Just asking now as I'd rather possible issues be nipped in the bud.

Gender: Male
appearence: Like grey from fairy tale
Powers: He has the ability to power object, with each object only being able to have one preset power-up. These relate to whaat he calls their names (example: knife of the earth god (but some cooler thing)
Weapons:
He has several swords
Knife of the earth god is a giant and heavy weapon, but its power up is the fact that it inflicts a larger punch than that.
Needle of the lightning king: a sword with a speed boost and electrical powers
Sickle of the light god: a large speed boost and it has slight glowing properties
other trinkets also
Personality: He seems like he is going to be aa jerk when you meet him, but thats just a defense against strangers. He is very much like a warm grandmother, and he cant really kill people. just hurt them very grievously.
Bio: a orphan, he was raised by a resistence member until he was 10, when he started to get his training with my other character who i forgot her name. He fell in love with her over time, and they have been together for 4 years now.

Appearence: Erza from fairy tale
Powers: ability to make high tech items, with a speciality in mechs, biological, and bombs
Weapons: several mechs/exosuits
some bombs
and a wolf creature
Personality: he is the stereotypical professor type personality, which means hes detached from the world emotionally. He has almost zero social skills and is often rude.
Bio: the son of a rich father, he went to prestigious schools almost all his life. He excelled in these and graduated from college age 22. After that he hacked into a bank and stole some money, then disappeared and started making his items.

If you are on the old Academy thread, this will sound familiar. Basically, I am leaving for a while. My characters are dull and uninteresting, and I'm not happy with how they are turning out. The RP can function without them. I have disagreed with this entire RP. It's premise and themes are so radically different from the original RP, they only really share a name. The decisions on here have frustrated me, as you can often see. Turns out I just am not a fan of gritty RPs full of needless terrorism. It is nobody's fault, it's just that I cannot believe the events of this RP, nor can I get invested in them. The only reason I stay on this RP is because I don't want to let anybody down.

So yes, I will be leaving. IDK for how long, probably a few days. During that time, I'll be thinking. When I come back, hopefully I'd have decided if I'm quitting or not. So much of my time has been occupied by this RP and Academy, so if I do come back, I will only rarely check this thread to see if my presence is required. This year, much more of my day is taken up by activities, so some of my characters will be dropped from the old Academy, and I may leave this one.

I'm sorry about this, it's just this RP is no longer enjoyable for me, and I don't know if I want to continue.

So the lighting sword weighs 30 pounds, but it moves like a 10 pound sword.
Light sword moves like a 5 pound sword.
Earth god feels like a 100 pound object hits you, even though it only weighs 30 pounds.
The techs are good, around 20-30 years in the future, but expensive to make and take a while to make. Bombs are farther in the future, like 40-50 years. And no, no nukes yet. the other trinkets are like healing, making people like you, better senses, etc.

The destruction of the Parc de Princes stadium and the Eiffel Tower not only hit in the pride of the French people, but it also greatly confused and dispersed the French Police, Gendarmerie and Army, creating the chaos that provoked the evacuation of the President in the bunker and allowed the terrorists to kill him.

To be fair, its more just plain destruction than terrorism. Terrorism involves using fear of the parties involved to make demands or political points, hence why the groups involved say that they did it. You are practically just declaring war, without revealing who you are.

I can't see why is it plain destruction. Those acts were necessary for Julius to get to French President and kill him. The former President was heavily involved in the death of his family. None of the acts were plain destruction, as everything went according to the plan. Everything went to one single objective, killing the President. Besides, that destruction threw France, one of the most anti-meta country in the world, in chaos.

Oh look, someone also took over a battleship after killing everyone on board..........why?" Those, plus robbing the truck for supplies, look to be the main points, and the only why answered in the ic is Nuking Brazil. I think that may be WHYYY problem. From an outside pov, this to looks like its entire point is to kill and destroy.

Well, the main point wasn't just to destroy. Nuking the capital of Brazil took care of some evil bad scientists. It might seem only to kill and destroy, but it wasn't. Every move had a precise objective.

Yes, nut that's not what it seems like. That's why I am saying, taken from an outside pov, like WHYYY for instance, it looks like a Dick measuring contest of who can destroy things the most. I know that's not what it is, but the terrorism is CURRENTLY unexplained and the subplots revolving around terrorism and killing are the only things that seem to be going anywhere. I can honestly see WHYYY's view, as this is supposed to be spinoff of an rp he seems to hold dear.

My problem isn't necessarily the destruction. While it does irritate me, and sometimes even make me sick, that's really not it. The reason I'm taking a break is because it just isn't fun anymore. Neither RP really is. I joined this on a whim and it rapidly turned out to be a genre and had themes that didn't engage me. So I'm taking a break.
