Personality: The Tshuchikage, despite his harsh appearance is actually a very mellow and patient man. Almost similar to a stone, his patience is great enough to wait out tense situations, and has made negotiations easier for him. However, at the same time he is as stubborn as a stone often refusing to budge until the opposition relents. Beyond that, his experience in the infamous Iwagakure Coup and resulting turmoil, has solidified his desire for stability for his home. Which has not entirely recovered from recent unrest.
Biography: Born during a time of great peace in his village during the reign of the Fifth Tsushikage. Renzata was born to a ancient clan of Iwagakure whose history was tied with that of the Village. While not a founding Clan, the Clan has grown to be a powerful force in Iwagakure politics, especially after the 4th Great Shinobi World War. Renzata's parents were both renowned ninja and who eventually became village elders, advising the Fourth Tsuchikage. As a child, Renzata was energetic and eager to continue his legacy of being a great Ninja. A ninja molded by peace, he grew up far from the ideals of Ninja being nothing but tools of war, and came into a view that Ninja could be the symbols of peace, rather than war.
He held onto this view as a Genin when he met Souma's father, and the two became fast friends. This friendship would last for years as the two pursued different goals. Renzata thrived as a ninja, advancing rapidly and mastering his Clan's Kekkei Genkai of "Mud Release". As well as the basic Chakra Natures of Earth, Fire and Water. Where he also became adept at "Boil Release" and "Lava Release" by learning them techniques from the Terumi and Imada Clans. By the age of 16, he was a full fledged Jonin. He was offered a position within Iwa's ANBU, but rather, left Iwa to perfect his training. Leaving to the secluded mountains he became a Sage and ally of the Earth Badgers of Iwa. Signing a contract with them allowing him to use them as his summon.
When he was 23 he married and had a daughter a year later. His wife died in child birth, and as he held his newborn daughter the village advised him to seal the recently acquired Five Tails within his newborn. As a means to prevent an attack. The next year when he was only 25, the Sixth Tsuchikage was murdered by a group of unknown assailants. Rumored to be a coalition of rogue ninja from various nations, but no one knew for sure. In an emergency Iwa offered Renzata the title of the Seventh Tsuchikage. Hesitant, he accepted reluctantly.
His new duties distanced him from his daughter, but he would often skip work to be with her when she was young, but as the troubled times grew, and she got older. This became harder to do. Just three years ago now, another attack occurred on Iwa, this time from within. A splinter group attempted to murder Renzata and seize power by controlling the Five Tails. However his daughter was away from the village at the time, and the Tsuchikage faced them himself.
Prevailing over the attempted coup, he was badly scarred however. The entire right side of his face was horribly burned and with them his ideals of a peaceful stability for the village of Iwa. Not long after that, he became colder in his dealings as Tsuchikage, but still motivated by ensuring peace for his people at all costs. By this end, he painfully ordered the death of his dear friend, who was considering spreading information that if misused could harm the village.
Most recently, he has been investigating the followers, family and friends of the ones who were involved in the coup and have ensured that they be passed over for promotions and advancement, only preparing and sending the teams of Genin who could be trusted to the most recent Chunin Exams to be held in Konoha, as he prepares to go spectate the new generation and represent his village.
Goals: To ensure that Iwagakure enters a period of stability and ensure that no power would threaten his village and people.
Strengths: -Mud Release: A trait inherit to the Hirotai clan. This is an enhanced form of Earth Release and rather than make it harder, it is instead made softer. Renzata is a master of this style.
-Boil and Lava Release, additional learned natures which Renzata has mastered, to such a point that he rarely uses his basic chakra natures anymore.
Weaknesses: -Lightning Nature, despite his mud release, it is still vulnerable to strong lightning ninjutsu.
-Subtle Tactics, Renzata has a combat form of overpowering with ninjutsu and taijutsu, and is always on a offensive. He makes little use of Earth Clone, Substitution and Ambush, so he can be caught off guard by craftier opponents.
