If we fill out a form, can we come back and reclaim and actually do an RP for the idea we've posted, assuming nobody has taken it in the meantime?

I'm under the impression that one can't reclaim, but I can't speak for the host of the thread.

As far as I can tell, the thread hasn't garnered enough support to be successful so I'm going to consider it closed and allow the individual in question to reclaim their RP idea. Thanks for submitting it! :)

People don't often submit ideas here, but I've held on to the page just in case. It's one of those things that isn't going to happen daily, or weekly. I could have posted more then one idea initially but the rule about one per week prevented that. I no longer feel like posting the other idea.

I made the rule initially out of fear of spam posts, but I guess the opposite happened. All in all, it's a learning experience and I'm glad the thread did get some ideas out. The only reason I'm closing it for now is because the people who are maintaining the thread with me are busy and I am busy as well, so I don't want submissions to languish here when their authors could be developing them elsewhere.

I, see your point, and understand. This is indeed a learning experience.

You can to my understanding still use the ideas posted here. Like, the Neeling RP- or another.

Retraction is being allowed. We won't be keeping track if things are being used or retracted so really it's up to the people who posted if they want their ideas to be given up or not. I apologize for the lack of clarity.

I hereby, through filling out this application, give up all creative control of the following roleplay idea and concept to whoever is viewing this thread and desires to develop it. I will not, under any circumstances, attack, belittle, or attempt to punish anyone who claims the idea I have given up in this thread through methods including, but not limited to: threatening telegrams, using mods, spamming the person’s threads, or any such behavior unbefitting a friendly roleplayer. This is validated by me filling out the application below, beginning with my name.

Nation Name: SaintB
Premise: Real live humans and cartoon characters work together to solve crimes committed by cartoon characters, keeping the streets of Toon Town and Hanna Barbera safe.
Franchise: Nope
Details about World: In this RP inspired by Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Bonkers it's 1950. The golden age of cartoons is in full swing and the City of Hannah Barbera is the Hollywood of the cartoon industry, no wait its the Nashville of Cartoons, no, no wait... Hanna Barbera is the Nashwood of the cartoon industry! More than a dozen production studios turn out hundreds of cartoon shorts for the cinema and the new magical medium of television every year and the city prospers. As a result of the booming tooning industry Hannah Barbera has the highest cartoon population in the United States, maybe even the world, with a full 3% of the city's 432,000 residents being of the cartoon persuasion.
But its not all glitz, glamour, and pies in the face; oh no. For every toon out there who makes it big a couple dozen more or so will never make it on screen because they are too scary, too strange, or just not funny enough. Most of those cartoons settle in a little enclave of cartoon culture similar to the China Towns or Little Tokyos you see in every major metropolis named the Cartoon Village and known as Toon Town to most of the fleshy people, and some of those cartoons turn toward crime as a way to make their living. So mayor Max Fleischer at the 12th Precinct located on 1901 Fifth Avenue the HBPD has created a special unit of investigators, cartoon characters and flesh and blood humans alike who work together to clean up the streets and keep the honest people and cartoons of Hanna Barbera safe from the criminal elements.

Details about Possible Plots: Pure Cane Sugar is like cocaine for cartoons but its difficult to enforce any laws against a substance that's entirely legal everywhere else.
Ducky Duck is being continuously assaulted/pranked by an unknown assailant, at first evidence points toward his coworker and friendly rival Rascal Rabbit but then an explosive 'prank' puts them both in traction and ruins a whole filming set. They'll both need protection from further sociopathic cartoon pranks and the identity of the prankster needs to be discovered before more film sets or the hospital are destroyed.
Additional Details: You can probably notice a few references in there.

Previous Incarnations: N/A

Thanks for looking over my idea! If you do choose to develop it into a fully-fledged roleplay, please do give me credit by adding “Based on a concept by [nation name]” in your opening post somewhere that’s visible.

Hi my name is SaintB and I am prone to sarcasm and hyperbole. Because of this I make no warranties, express or implied, concerning the accuracy, completeness, reliability or suitability of the above statement, of its constituent parts, or of any supporting data. These terms are subject to change without notice from myself.

Every day NationStates tells me I have one issue. I am pretty sure I've got more than that.

Apologies from me as well. My work schedule is usually heavy during the week. I did add SaintB's pitch to the listing.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Apologies, I hadn't informed the people helping me maintain the thread that I was closing it for the time being, due to all of us being busy and the lack of interest (no one's been adopting, same people want to give up ideas, etc). As far as I know, this is still closed. Apologies again for the lack of clarity.

Oh, alright, thanks, makes sense.
