Lol, I had no idea that so many people were learning german. I mean okay you can always learn a difficult language but what are going to do with it later. German isn`t spoke all around the globe like English. English, French, Spanish, Russian: those are the languages you might need in this world. Atleast in most places. German is only spoken and understood in Germany, Austria, North-Eastern Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg and Mallorca.

As far as I know, we are not speaking german here in mallorca . We speak spanish and mallorquinian. You can find people speaking german or english, but those are people working for tourists, normal citizens, if you have luck, will speak in english too xD

Well, Mallorca isn`t said to be the 17. state of the Bundesrepublik Deutschland for no reason. There`s a high amount of Germans going there in Summer every year and many of the restaurant owners, bar keepers, shop assistants and all those other people who often get in contact with the germans can speak German.

The academy is not in the milky way galaxy, but you can be from that galaxy as the empire(my nation) has several colony worlds in that galaxy...

the academy keeps the right to execute you should break the law and or rules

Race: Eriathan Human. The same as any other human, although Eriathans have a penchant to be on the taller side of things.

Age and Origin: 32, born on Eriathe, capital of the Empire bearing the same Nam.

Character Story: Rachel will arrive at the academy less than impressed (home is waaay better, after all). While less xenophobic than those at home, she's still an Eriathan and as such will be distrustful of most non-humans. She'll be following a fight for power between her family and another powerful family from afar, unable to do much due to staying at the Academy, causing quite some frustration for her. Will become less xenophobic over time.

Reason for being accepted into the academy: Rachel has displayed herself to be far more than an average soldier, possessing all the skills a soldier needs as well as a formidable intelligence. Hailing from a powerful family on Eriathe, she was sent to the academy both to learn other ways of war and to perhaps further diplomatic relations.

German is partially spoken in certain areas of Transylvania, despite the fact that the German minority in Romania right now is extremely small. One of the places where German is spoken more often is the city where I live in, Sibiu/Hermannstadt, not only because of it's long history with the German minority, but also because of the high number of tourists the city has.
