Kay, so I was thinking about an idea for a new character, and I thought it'd be cool to make a character whose one of the siblings of Alexander, but she'd be more unorthodox and less militaristic

That would be really cool. I never actually thought a lot about Alexander's siblings, but he must have many. I don't see why not, it would be a really interesting character.

Also, she would probably be one of the few people that knew Slaine before he... entered the military.

Well, on the Holy Imperial side, Second Lieutenant Julius Kingsley was accused of treason, incompetence and cowaridce. Postmortem, he was degraded to the rank of Private, and condemned to death.

no, most of the honour he was give steams from 2 things
1) he is just a trainee, and while the fire caste, no matter rank, are expected to die in defence of the other castes, the trainees are not expected to do so, rather understandably. and so to sacrifice your own life, without second thought, for someone else, is one of the biggest and most noble things you can do in Imperial culture.
2) and this is the most important part, he is a Foreigner, while the empire gladly assists those i need, often with no thought of reward. Those not from the empire are not expected to act in the same way, and here we have a Foreigner, giving his life for another member of the fire caste.

Well, they could have had good relations when they were little, but with Alexander slowly turning into a xenophobic military officer, they could have worsened.
