These many reasons being I brainstormed a couple ideas in the OOC, such as putting the continent in the NAU, making a common currency, building a hyperloop system. These ideas aren't part of the history,many haven't even been suggested.

Foreign Policy: Since its establishment after the Mexican Revolution in 1915, Mexico had followed the Estrada Doctrine, The Estrada Doctrine suggests that under the establishment of de facto governments in other countries, Mexico is not in favor of giving recognition because it is considered a degrading practice. By hurting the sovereignty of other states, it puts them in a vulnerable position because their internal affairs can be judged by other governments, that in fact assume a critical attitude when deciding about the legality and legitimacy of foreign governments. Hence Mexico was itself hurt because of the practice, as it was difficult to obtain recognition of its independence. The most extended use of the Estrada Doctrine was in the 1970s, when Mexico did not withdraw its recognition of any South American government which was formed through a coup d'état, the only measure Mexico could use against such governments was withdrawing its diplomatic missions. In other words, the Estrada Doctrine claims that Mexico should not judge, positively or negatively, the governments or changes in government of other nations, in that such action would imply a breach to their sovereignty. In addition, this doctrine is based on the universally recognized principles of self-determination and non-intervention, which are considered essential for mutual respect and cooperation amongst nations, following Juarez's quote " Between individuals, as between nations, peace means respect for the rights of others." However, after the revolution in 2016, the Colosiato, and even before in 2015 with Pena Nieto's attempts to have Mexican Blue Helmets by next year, adopted the Castañeda Doctrine, the new foreign policy called for an openness and an acceptance of criticism from the international community, and the increase of Mexican involvement in foreign affairs. Colosio's justification lying in the fact that Mexico is the most prolific signer of Free Trade Agreements in the world, having negotiated a total of 10 agreements in the last seven years. These agreements encompass 32 countries with a combined 850 million people and more than 60% of the world's GDP.

Domestic Policy:
The rule of Luis Colosio is dedicated to order—which meant the rule by law and the suppression of violence—and modernization of all aspects of the society and economy. Colosio is an astute military leader and liberal politician who built a national base of supporters. It took control of disease certification; required prompt reporting of disease; and launched campaigns against tropical disease such as aids as well as a campaign against drug addiction(Colosio believes that drug addicts are parasites and for that reason those who did not recuperate in a year were exiled, conscripted, sent to labor camps, or executed.)

Mexico was vulnerable to external shocks because of its weak banking system. The banking system was controlled by a small oligarchy, which typically made long-term loans to their own directors. The banks were the financial arms of extended kinship-based business coalitions that used banks to raise additional capital to expand enterprises. Economic growth was largely based on trade with the EU, China, and Russia.

Mexico had a large but mostly foreign owned industry, but then nationalization took hold in the Northeast, especially in Monterrey. State owned, America Movil, FEMSA, Grupo Mexico, and Grupo Carso(of Carlos Slim, richest man in the world and close friend of Colosio) companies began buying companies like, Grupe Modelo of the Modelo beer from Anheuser-Busch InBev and Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma Brewery from Heineken International, the Japanese Sharp Co, Zenith Electronics(Mexico already being the 1# exporter of TVs), Renault, and allowing Mexican Meebox to grow. Cartel money and the joining of OPEC has allowed Pemex to surpass Petrobras as the largest petroleum company in Latin America.

After almost half-century of stagnation, where per capita income was merely a tenth of the developed nations, the Mexican economy took off and grew at an annual rate of 2.3% (2017-2023), which is quite high by world standards.Mexico has moved from being a target of ridicule to international pride. As traditional ways were under challenge, urban Mexicans debated national identity, the rejection of indigenous cultures, the new passion for the USA and the West was ousted from Mexico by an anti-American leader, and the challenge of creating a modern nation by means of industrialization and scientific modernization rose.

The Mexican Armed Forces (Fuerzas Armadas de México) is headed by the Secretariat of National Defense. Beneath the Secretariat of National Defense are three subordinate military departments: the Secretariat of the Army, the Secretariat of the Navy, and the Secretariat of the Air Force. In addition, four national intelligence services are subordinate to the Department of Defense: the Center for Research and National Security (CISEN), Office of the General Prosecutor (Procuraduría General de la República, PGR).Other Defense Agencies include the Secretariat of National Defence's Science and Technology for Military Application (SEDENSTA), the new Missile Defense Agency (MDA), all of which are under the command of the Secretariat of National Defense. The Presidential Guard, Military Police, and Special Forces are part of the Army, but have their own chains of command. The Mexican Navy, includes the Naval Infantry Force and the Naval Aviation (FAN).

The Army and Navy are controlled by two separate government departments, the Army Secretariat and the Naval Secretariat, and maintain two independent chains of command, with no joint command except the President of Mexico, which form part of the Cabinet.

There are three main components of the Army: a national headquarters, territorial commands, and independent units. Presently, there are 12 "Military Regions", which are further broken down into 44 subordinate "Military Zones." In both cases, a numbering system is used for designation. The Ministry of the Navy, the Navy's national headquarters, is located in Mexico City, and is smaller than the Army's headquarters. 2015:The PRI administration sees economic downturn after much promised economic reforms. Mass demonstrations soon turn to riots as Cartels see a gain in power. The army sees a large mobilization.
2016: Trump's election to the presidency has trouble written all over it. Cut of economic aid and high tariffs on Mexico see the economy slip in the Q3. Michoacan and Sinaloa see a full state of emergency as the Cartels run rampant amid revolution movements around Mexico. In a drastic move, conscription begins and the largest mobilization of troops in Mexico since the Revolution begins. Unsatisfied generals begin talks of a coup d'etat againsr Pena Nieto.
On the 100th year anniversary of the start of the Pancho Villa Expedition, Border Patrol officers overseeing construction of Trump's new super fence cross into Mexico before being attacked by Cartel members, resulting in the death of 2. American and Mexican relations chill, Trump claiming it an attack on American citizens while Mexico declares it an infringement on its national sovereignty. Anger rises the Mexican populace.
2017:Mexican generals meet in Guerrero and create the Plan of Guerrero, calling the current government unconstitutional and traitorous to the heroes of the Mexican Revolution and demanding the establishment of a new government. The next day, rebel forces under the command of Secretary of the Navy Vidal Francisco Soberon Sanz, entered Mexico City, stormed the National Palace killing all 628 congressmen, and capturing the President, sentencing him to life sentence. In the following week, the popular Provisional Government of Mexico declared a triumvirate consisting of Vidal Soberon Sanz, Army Secretary Salvador Cienfuegos, and Interior Secretary Luis Donaldo Colosio, called the Supreme Executive Power. The three were tasked with restoring order, now an easier task with popular support against the Cartels.
2018:Order is restored. After the mysterious death of Sanz and Cienfuegos, Colosio was declared president, and a small congress established before passing the Enabling Act of 2018, which gave the Supreme Executive Power – in effect, President Colosio – the power to enact laws without the involvement of the Congress. It passed in both the Senate and Chamber of Deputies on 24 March 2018, and was signed by President Colosio later that day. The act stated that it was to last 4 years unless renewed by the Congress, which occurred twice. The Enabling Act gave Colosio plenary powers. The combined effect of the law was to transform Colosio's government into a de facto legal dictatorship.
