But I think you are sorely underestimating your food production. Realistically, you cant self sufficiently feed your people, let alone declare the total war Stalin had on us.

I know that I can't feed my nation, my people live in Siberia and we have to import the damn food! Also, my people are generally native to Siberia, give or take a few ethnics and the Russia culture hasn't and will never touch them. However, total war will be the best option for the black gold!

In more realistic matters. I don't know if I should join a Union with my Christian neighbor where Japan can also offer me foodstuffs and subsidization...
