Quality/Training: The Air Corps is the weakest arm of the Osman's, outfitted only with reconnaissance planes from several years ago. While the pilots are adequately trained, outdated planes and a lack of proper weaponry hamstring the branch.
Economic Strength: The Grand Republic of Osman is a vastly growing economic power on the North American continent. Rapid industrialization of the Holy Rivers( The Great Lakes region ) has improved things greatly throughout the republic, and has catapulted the nation into modernization of the entire nation. While the Holy Rivers region pumps out goods for the continent, Muhammad's Land ( Quebec and the surrounding land ) has become the agricultural center of the nation, providing abundant harvests for the nation, adding to its export based economy.
Infrastructure: The Grand Republic lags behind in infrastructure, with the Holy Rivers region having hundreds of miles of railway and fledgling roadways, while the northern lands only have railways connecting their largest cities, with cart trails connecting most settlements.
Scientific Research and Development: Most of the Osman research and development funds are given to scientists wishing to improve the life of the everyday man, while military research is under funded and remains quieted.

History:
1776- The colony of Osman is established in OTL Quebec
1807- Persian War Debts lead to increased taxes in Osman. Citizens are outraged
1808- Declaration of Unity is made, declaring Osman independent and free of Persian rule.
1809- First Islamic Council meets, naming Abu-Abkar leader of the Osman forces
1814- Treaty of New Baghdad ends in Osman independence, Abu-Abkar is named King of The Imperial Osman Empire.
1817- Failure to reform the Empire ends in the secession of the Holy Rivers region, and the creation of the Holy River League. Both nations go their separate ways and expand and reform in different ways
1825-1826- Second Persian-Osman war occurs, greater military buildup do to the HRl leads to a more tolerable treaty, and the annexation of the Holy River League. A Constitution is drafted at the discretion of the people, toppling the Monarchy and instituting a democracy.
1835- The Grand Republic of Osman is Officially created, after a amended constitution is passed and ratified by every state. The First National Bank of Osman is created, allowing for better flow of currency and loans to be made to other nations.
1854- The Iroquois Confederation begrudgingly joins the Grand Republic, only joining after promises of autonomy and nonintervention are made.
1876-1894 The first railway station is opened in New Baghdad, the industrial revolution occurs.
1901- The idea of Holy expansion( Manifest Destiny ) comes around, War Hawks begin to fill Parliament, wars of expansion seem likely.
