The Hunt for the Samurai who Smells of Roses
The Hunt for the Samurai Who smells of Roses!
A VanRPTM Production
The camera falls onto a rolling plain where wind blows across it sending grass into air.
Silverfish lugs his Tetsubo over his shoulder and looks over towards a hill.
Kei Tachibana cocks her head sideways and smiles as the camera turns to be behind her as she walks up some stairs.
The camera outpaces her and catches Silverblade standing on the corner of a tiled roof which he promptly jumps off of into a city.
Keito Nagase looks up and sees the ninja overhead as he towers over everyone in the street.
The camera races forward and sees Kaori praying at an ancient shrine, head down eyes closed.
The camera slides over to Minoru Ichikawa as he looks up to a destroyed castle, only for the camera to rush up the side of the ruins to get a close up with The Samurai who smells of Roses' Mask.
Let the hunt begin
Rose petals and snowflakes fell around Lord Kasa in the night sky. He looks up, and sees Fuujin Castle in flames. All around him, screams can be heard amounts the burning wood and snapping bubbles of air in between the logs. The fire sizzles as it burns just as fast as the snow puts it out, all in a rose petal covered backdrop. All of what he had made, all of what he had known, gone in instants. He got up, and raced into the eastern reception room. He tightened his back up against the wall and attempted to hide from his impending doom. It was too late. He felt a searing pain, and looked down only to find a katana through his chest.
Lady Kasa, his wife, saw this act. She was running away herself when she saw the red faced demon stab something through the wall. In a moment of terrible judgement. She raced forward to see what happened. The demon raced away right past her. In a split moment, Lady Kasa smelt a strong wave of rose petals, as she kept on going. She turned, and saw Lord Kasa in a bloodied mess. She held his hand as she looked in his eyes, only for him to be able to spit out two last words: Avenge Me. The fire raged, and the cast;e crumbled. Now a widow, she bawled her eyes out.
Her honor had already been near non-existent, and was only obeyed due to being married to Lord Kasa. She had fallen on hard times. She had started to lose her possessions one by one, That being said, she didn't even want most of them anymore. The only thing that kept her going, was her thirst for revenge. She was ready to give up the rest of everything she had, just as long as The Man who Smells of Roses is ended.
---------------
Boats are not meant to slam into rocks. This passenger ship, full of soldiers of the Golden Lotus Dragon and of passengers from the southernmost island. Refugees who were saved from the southernmost island which had just recently been overran by some kind of creatures. The boat was already in taters, with very little of the sail still usable and almost no food left. It really didn't need to slam into rocks. It was highly unfortunate. It crashed onto the rocks below Fuujiin Castle. The sailors were too distracted by the fire and the occasional rose petals falling around them for them to notice the approaching rocks.
The ship twists and turns, slams and splinters, as it slowly gets shredded by the local rocks. People wash up on shore, be them refugees, sailors, soldiers, or simple passengers. Weapons and armour also are swept ashore, as well as gold and the occasional robe or cloth.

Greetings!
Hello! Here is my first attempt at a couple of things: A D&D Adventure in NS, A Fantasy Adventure and my first time being a GM and an OP. This journey will be a quest to go track, find, kill and/or capture the Samurai who Smells of Roses. I'll be most likely using quite a bit from the AD&D:OA book, and an equal amount from my imagination. There will be no requirement to read this book nor to watch SC, but I'll have a recommended Viewing section to see what I'm thinking of.
So far, what we need is a rolling system. We can all roll dice at home, or online. I have some ideas, but I want to discuss this with others. I have a plot in mind, but that's kinda moot if we can't roll for our actions.
Skills
Strength- What's needed tor actual moving things, carrying stuff, etc...
Intelligence- How smart you are, and how well you remember things.
Constitution- Your health and how well you can take poisons and whatnot.
Will- If injured, how you will react. Will you panic? How dedicated you are.
Dexterity- How accurate you are in your strikes, and how you dodge attacks
Charisma- How appreciated you are, and how you motivate others.
You will have a total of 11 points to spend here (since I find the 18. 10 16, etc... system that D&D uses to be odd). You can put these in any way you so fit, but you may need a bit of all of them. When you roll, you will add this number to your existing number.
Classes
Fighters:
Martial Artists
As the name implies, they are warriors in the purest sense. Fists and feet, with your martial art of choice. You get bonuses to unarmed fighting, and are able to stun enemies unlike any others. They cannot use any weapons or else they feel tainted.
Bushi
Professional soldiers for hire, bushi are anybody from front-line soldiers to guardians of the largest families. They carry all kinda of weapons, and are the most average joe of all. Because of this , they are okay at everything, and have no downsides.
Barbarians
Savages who have no skill, no class, nor any caution, but get a bonus to their strength by 3 points however they cannot have any intelligence nor dexterity
Magicians:
Wu Jen
Sorcerers who have much stronger then average powers all mages. They are mostly users of defensive and supporting magic.
Sohei
These are warrior priests, each devoted to a single church somewhere on this good earth. They have offensive magic and defensive magic, albeit weaker then most other magic users.
Cavaliers:
Samurai
These men are normally required to do the most honorable thing they possibly can, and are dedicated to a single lord until either their lord dies or they do. They can only wield Katanas and it's derivatives, and must always have their blade. If they lose it they will start to become insane and uncomfortable.
Clerics:
Shukenja
Wandering holy men. They cannot deal physical damage, but know how to ruin someone with words. They are teachers, healers and advisers, but cannot deal any physical damage. They do have some magical ability, but not much nor enough to be part of the Magician class.
Thieves:
Ninja
Assassins and sneaky figures, the ninja are a secretive bunch who are just as our lore knows them. They are not allowed to have any bonuses to their constitution nor strength from the start.

If you'd like to create an ability for one of the four main classes, feel free! I need more!
Races
Humans
Completely normal, albeit during this time most people were smaller, so less 6'6" giants then normal please.
Korobokuru
In essence, Japanese jungle dwarves. Probably more like hobbits then dwarves, but they follow the same kind of thing. Plus 1 to strength, but -1 to dexterity
Hengeyokai
Shape-shifting animals. You can change forms into an animal once every 24 hours, and you can't change back for another 24 hours. You louse your clothes and cannot carry any gear or weapons that you normally carry around. This class cannot be either samurais nor ninjas.
Spirit Folk
--Bamboo: Can recognize most normal plants and can identify half the animals they see. They can walk without leaving a trail in the forest. Every level up they get, they can learn a new language.
--River: Can breath underwater. All items they carry whilst swimming are always dry. Once per day they can lower the waters by 10 feet so their party can pass. However, they are tied to a river, and if anything happens to it they are affected.
Can't be Ninjas, Samurai, Barbarian or Martial Artists.
