Dear leaders of Europe, I have come up with an idea of an unified European community called the "European Confederation". It is a political-economic organization to ensure peace and order in Europe. This would prevent more wars like the Danish conflict and the Greco-Bulgarian War. Agreed?

While I agree that such a union is necessary, the Byzantines unfortunately must remain separated for the next few years, at least until unrest settles in the newly integrated lands. Byzantium would risk collapse if pulled into another violent conflict after two devastating wars that have decimated morale and manpower. Maybe there shall be a time where Byzantium will join, but that time is not now.

The Krenzian Union slowed down their attacks as the Ydciousian army went into defensive stance. Several 48 hour armistice were presented to the Ydciousian army, easing out the armies on both sides of the battle. At this point Krenzian Civilians felt nearly no sympathy at all for Ydocious, most of the majority were angry widows who saw their men come back by train in coffins. This increased support for the war effort seeing now teenagers above the age of 12 joining the army. The young able bodied soldiers were only able to help in evacuation sites and help in delivering supplies to the army. This also led to the foundation of the Krenzian Cadet forces. The Krenzian Army noticed that they were losing a large amount of manpower by the millions. They estimated by war's end, their would be only a few million troops left in the armed forces. The Krenzian Cadet Forces helped prevent that from happening by getting teens attention on the military by training them at an early age to grow them into well able bodied soldiers. The Krenzian Cadets were also considered a reserve force, only in a case of emergency, such as nearly no troops left in the military. The military also established the Krenzian Special Forces or better known as the Krenzian Republican Guard. The Republican Guard picked the finest soldiers in the military giving them training grounds on the most hardest obstacle course in the world. The Republican Guard was only to be sent on the most important missions the Krenzian Union can face, placing the Krenzian Union at the second best army in the world, trailing behind Great Britain.

The Dragon Zeppelin has finished construction. It went on to its first months of test runs, proving successful on the first few days Certain Modifications were to be put on the zeppelin, such as onboard turrets and aa guns. With the militarists of the Shintaisei in the government, the civilian government group became decreasingly liberal in terms of democracy, but as a result, the military was put into high regard to place the nation ahead of any other to rival even the greatest of powers.

Under the Amagawa administration, the area of Manchuria officially became the Empire of Manchukuo, situated in Hsinking, Occupied China became the Republic of China, situated in Peking, and Mongolia became the State of Mongolia, situated in Niislel Khüree. Although all three areas were simply puppet states, it allowed for the Japan's reach to over-extend what it could grab. On a logistical level, it allowed for Japanese troops to be stationed else where as the puppet states maintained their own military, under Japanese supervision.

In the military, Amagawa, with the backing of the Emperor, called for military improvements of weapons technology. With industries and military designers working around the clock for the Imperial Military, advancements were to be made. With these developments, and the previous observations of the Great War, many developments were being hastily quickened. To match up with foreign powers of the world, military technologies were being spared no expense. However, a lack of aerial fighters plagued the Japanese force. So far, Japan had only 200 reconnaissance float-planes, incapable of take-off from the ground. The newest domestic fighter was still being rung of problems and had only had it's first flight the current year and would take a few more years to make satisfactory. To fill the gap of the fighters, Japan would need to purchase and produce foreign fighters.

Summer Offensive

UCR forces used into Alania finally after just four days of the offensive. They had suffered almost X dead, The Russians lost around X men in the Albanian campaign, the UCR attack in Alania was stopped by a massive Russian aerial bombardment and the lines now lie in central Alania. In the West there was slightly more success, there, almost X Caucasians died in the assault but Dagestan was mostly retaken, the Russians lost around X men to the Caucasian machine guns. 700 christian armed rebels gathered in Jounieh after taking arms from the houses they stashed them in and declared a liberation, thus opening the port to incoming British transfer of weapons. Within the Imperial General Headquarters, Takeo Murakami, Head of the Supreme War Council, Hideo Amagawa, the Prime Mininster, and Ryuhito Tenno, the current Emperor, met with Arata Choshi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, General Kobo Fukunaga, Chief of the Army General Staff, and Admiral Eiji Fujikage, Chief of the Navy General Staff. Within the Headquarters building, the Council sought out a way for Japanese expansionism. In the discussions, the two expansion doctrines, Hokushin-ron and Nanshin-ron came to the table. Hokushin-ron was the expansion doctrine, endorsed by the Army, that labeled Manchuria and Siberia as Japanese spheres of interest through the submission of China to Japan to enact war against Russia to become the Dominant power in Asia. Nanshin-ron was the expansion doctrine, endorsed by the Navy, that labeled Southeast Asia as Japanese spheres of interest to procure colonial resources in South East Asia and neutralize the threat posed by Western military forces in the Pacific.

In the Japanese controlled northeast, strength was already shown and solidified by the Japanese Kwantung Army, numbering high with a troop strength of 700,000, along with puppet and collaborationist armies of the Manchu, Mongol, and Chinese puppet states in the area, all numbering at a troop strength of 193,044, making the pro-Japanese armies at a force of 893,044. A large enough force to threaten the Northern side.

In the Japanese controlled South Pacific, the Navy showed their strength with their chain of islands and naval bases, creating an impenetrable barrier. With the islands, Japan could control the flow of ships from going into Asia from the Americas. The large naval dominance over the area was larger than the dominance in the northeast and just as threatening to the forces in the South Pacific.

With combination of the two expansion doctrines, came the Nishishin-ron, or West Expansion Doctrine. This doctrine espoused the combination of both Doctrines with the power of Japanese industry to give the military capabilities of the doctrine. The doctrine called for the invasion of China and then the gradual expansion north and south, to cut off the east from the Western powers.

This plan, drawn up by both Chiefs of the Army and Navy Staff was accepted by Amagawa, Murakami, and Ryuhito Tenno. As the Krenzian planes were being shipped to Japan. The Army and Navy were being readied in training exercises in the Sea of Japan and Army training in Manchuria. The Kwantung Army would lead the Strike Group into China with the puppet armies aiding them while the Navy would launch landings on Fujian from Taiwan. These plans were all kept in secret however, only the Supreme War Council and some of their experienced subordinated knew of this plan.

The war has taught a lesson to the Krenzian Union. Oblivious to the Krenzian Civilization, Krenzian Generals and Admirals including the President have arrived at a bunker built in the middle of the Rockies. They had come from across the country to meet with the President in a meeting that will shape the Krenzian Military for generations to come. This was followed by days of discussions and planning for future defense's along with and increased growth on the military budget.

The Krenzian Navy was to be "beefed up" with an increase of 80 ships including 5 Battleships, and 3 Aircraft Carriers, to be built in 5 years. A demand was set to increase numbers of Krenzian ships in the Pacific. The Krenzian Carrier fleet was also to be moved towards the pacific along with 2 Krenzian Battleships. The K.U.N Tribulation went into a major upgrades to keep the Nation's capital ship at a superior level. The 7th Fleet was to move out of its blockade of Alaska, and moved into its ports in the island of Midway. The 12th Fleet was to be dispatched from Seattle and to move to the Krenzian Ports in Hawaii.

The Krenzian Air force also was given a set of demands. They were ordered to start development of Monoplanes as they provided more view from cockpits. The Nations air force was to go under a major exercise with the army in the newly obtained territory of Utah. An order of 20 new military planes were ordered to be researched. Another order of 5,000 airmen were to be enlisted in the air force to keep the Krenzian skies protected.

The war weary Krenzian Army was also given orders. 500,000 Troops were to be retired from the Army. Along with 50 Krenzian Commanders. Krenzian Commanders were also ordered to give in their war tactics to the military before they retired from the forces. The Krenzian Cadet forces were to provide the Army with fresh abled bodied men yearly, which hoped to bring back the glory of the army in a matter of years. The Krenzian Army Uniform was also set to retire from service. The new uniform was to be distributed through the armed forces the following winter.

The Krenzian Military may have came out of turbulent period. But its willingness to protect Krenzian Civilian, increased its strength and size. The new military era was expected to be prosperous.

The 7th Fleet has arrived at the island. Warships fill the port as naval planes patrol the island. The small island population is quickly outnumbered by the Krenzian 7th fleet Marine Force. Admiral Robinson ordered his main battleships to conduct exercises outside of the island while the destroyers and cruisers replenished their supplies. As the day went by, marines a navy personal went off on their own. Restaurants, bars, theatres, and carnivals quickly filled up with Caucasian men in Green and Blue uniform. To the Kwantung Army Headquarters with in Manchuria, word was sent from General Fukunaga to prepare for the offensive into China with the puppet regimes and try to push as far as Chongqing. In Taiwan, the Navy Garrison Headquarters were also notified by Admiral Fujikage to prepare the Naval infantry to help the army push through the Chinese coast. The plans were set in stone and the operation, under the name "Operation 15-9". Soon the Japanese force would strike through China and consolidate the Nishishin-ron doctrine. Army and Navy planning became increasingly precise with every passing moment that they did not strike. Everything from the plans after the invasion to how they should present such an event to the international community.

Within the Army Technical Bureau, weapon design creations were being brought out to be produced for the upcoming operation. By 1922, a new machine gun would be developed for front-line service. The Army would be dubbing it the Type 82 LMG, based on the new naming convention of using the Imperial Year instead of the year of the Emperor's reign. Apart from firearms, new armored vehicles are being developed for the Imperial Army and an experimental tank would be put out in 1923. Aeronautics were also being designed, with the Mitsubishi 1MFs starting to enter their service the same year the experimental tank would be put out and the world's first purpose built aircraft carrier, Hosho, would be out the same year.

Even will a casus belli secured, Japan's neighbors would see this as aggressive expansion and in retaliation, would cut off economic ties and such to the Island Nation. Pacific Rim Defense Pact
All Polynesian Islands that are heavily influenced by the Krenzian Union or any other country in North America, fell into the P.R.D.P. A Defensive Pact set up as barrier for the Japanese expansion. The Krenzians main concern was their territory of the Philippines. If the Krenzians lose the Philippines, they lose their whole entire trade to western Asia and East Africa. Commanders across the Pacific send their forces to their assigned islands including the territories of Guam and The Philippines. The Krenzian government was attempting to avoid war as much as they can with out losing their trade and Pacific allies. The President was also set to travel to Hawaii to meet up with his top military officers, while the Vice President responded to the Empire of Japan.

The Liberal Oil Industry provided a large amount of oil to Japan. After hearing Japans expansion movement, the CEO banned all trade of oil to Japan. Increasing tensions between the 2 countries. The government disapproved the industry decision and encouraged the CEO to reopen trade with Japan. The CEO refused, he demanded a ransom for the trade, and government investment into the industry. But the government refused to meet his demands, in result of the world's dominant oil industry stopped supply towards the Japanese Empire. The government is continuing the push to encourage the Oil Industry to reopen trade. The Oil ban of Japan will impact the Japanese Empire and possibly cripple the Japanese Military in their expansion attempt.

Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
The 12th Fleet has arrived along with the Carrier fleet. Ships sit stationed in ports while battleships sit stationed in a row. The Krenzian Air force is launching exercises over the city of Honolulu while the army trained at the nearby bases. Sailors head to the beach to have time under the sun. Most of the men saw their mission as a free vacation, which left the Krenzian Army sagging in laziness. The President has arrived at Hawaii as well. His car paraded around Honolulu with crowds cheering from the sidewalk. As he entered the Convention center, a row of Generals saluted to the President on his way to the conference room. Once he entered the Generals followed behind him.
"Greetings. As you must have heard, the Japanese plan an expansion in southern Asia. We will let them be. But we must make a barrier out of American influenced nations. Our allies, the Europeans are doing the same thing. They are sheltering their influenced islands from the Japanese Expansion. But we must increase defense in our side of the pact. We must increase the number of ships patrolling our sting of islands. The main objective? Stay out of the way of the Japanese. We will let them continue their annexation. We should not intervene unless they attack our Pacific Defences. We will focus our navy into the Philippines, and Guam. The Most important that must be protected at all cost is the Philippines. Without the Philippines, we will lose a large amount of trade in West Asia and East Africa."
The President went on for another 3 hours in the meeting but the main topic has been cleared into the Generals minds. They will begin set up defenses in a month.

Japanese Imperial Army: Operation 15-9

On the Japanese side of the border, a railway line spanning from Dalian to the Chinese as destroyed in an explosion. A nearby Japanese patrol alerted the Kwantung Army and within hours, they invaded the Chinese country. The cause of the explosion? Officially, it was the cause of Chinese soldiers when in reality it was Japanese Army conspirators. This proved to be nothing however, just being the forward plan for 'Operation 15-9'. The combined army led by the Japanese numbered at 400,000 personnel, 12,000 vehicles, and 70,000 horses charged from the north and down towards Fujian where the Navy would have started landing. In Taiwan, Japanese naval landing crews boarded ships along with the Takasago volunteers, the Taiwanese Aboriginals who were recruited to the army. Japanese infantry ships were escorted by the Nagato, the fleet's flagship, and 2 Kongo Battlecrusiers towards Fujian while the army struck quickly.

Within weeks, Japanese forces made it to the Yangtze where fighting had became a stalemate for the battle along the river. As Japanese forces had made it quickly with surprise to the south, it was the same with the advance to the west where Japanese forces were bogged down at the Qilian Mountain range after weeks of non-stop advance. So far, during the entire advance, Japanese casualties number at 66,000 while Chinese casualties were unknown

With the message being sent along with the envoy, 2 members of the Kempeitai, on orders of Takeo Murakami, were embedded into the envoy and Imperial Guard as spies while in the Krenzian nation. As the Krenzian Union's power grew, so did their power in the Pacific and its status of a rival to Japan. In order to study their strengths, the spies embedded into the envoy would scout what ever they could from their consulates and embassies and transmitted their messages back to the Imperial General Headquarters.

With the cut of oil supplies from the Krenzian nation, need for oil to fuel expansion grew. With this, the Japanese needed the oil in Siberia and the Southeast even more. Thailand became the next target for Japanese expansion. Thailand however had a friendship and diplomatic ties. An ultimatum was decided upon for the situation, which was to become an independent part of the Japanese Sphere, such as the states of Manchukuo and Collaborationist China, or face war and annexation as a detachment of Japanese naval forces gathered in the South China Sea escorted by 2 Kongo Class Battlecruisers.

Operation Branding Iron
The Krenzian Government launched the Republican Guard's first mission. An attempt to start a revolution in Socialist Cuba to overthrow the government and to union Cuba with the Krenzian Union. By nightfall on the 4th of August. Ships outside of Havana landed on the beaches. Hundreds of Republican Guards sprinted towards the city, making contact with the Police force. By the 14th of August. Havana fell under Krenzian control. Cuba fell under the Krenzian grasp and made headlines on the 20th of August. The rest of Caribbean fell into an anarchy. A week later the President held the conference in Hawaii.

With the ambassador and his consulates on their way to Japan. The Government established the Central Intelligence Agency, or the CIA for short. The new spy network was to expand throughout the globe to the biggest threats (Or former) from Germany, to Ydocious. A handful of men were selected to train to become spies. With their names and lives blocked from the world. With tensions rising in the Pacific, the spy network started to focus their objectives on Japan. As secret meetings came and went, they made goals that must be accomplished by the end of the year.
