So, do I decide on the outcome of my invastion of Semigallia myself or do I need Emily to do it for me?

Not gonna lose Dangerutis and Žvelgaitis this time. Prolly gonna save a few decades of consolidation.

You decide, anything unplausible you have a chance of getting yelled at.

Certainly, posts are far more than numbers. But they do tend to correlate with things like comprehension of forum conventions, RP etiquette, and whatnot.

Erm I just massacred everyone in power in the Kingdom of Mann and the Isles and annexed them oops.

Also King William of Scots is now Lord of the Isles so you're not really as vassal anymore.

So there's that.
The lowest reasonable count I find is 80,000, seen here, and I have to admit it seems damn credible.
But then I read something on the current demographics of Venice that made me think both are in fact true.
Today the Commune of Venice has 272,000 inhabitants. Of those 176,000 live on the terraferma and therefore aren't relevant for the population of Venice(the city, not republic) in 1200. The remaining 96,000 though are split amongst the city of Venice proper and the other islands of the lagoon Now here is where it gets interesting. The ratio of Venice proper to the rest of the lagoon today seems roughly to be 2:1. Which makes me think that the usage of 80,000 applies to Venice of the Six Sestieri while the additional 20,000 residents from my source in 1200 are supposed to be on the surrounding Islands in the Lagoon, beyond the inner city.

I see, yes. I the Salt the Earth package might be problematic due to Genoa RemoversTM's policy on territorial acquisitions, but the "pillage, slaughter, and rape" package is indeed available.

Mhm.... what's your opinion on Genoa?
Also, you are wrong. Venice most likely was the third most populated city in (extended) europe, behind only Paris and Constantinople.
That being said, once you have your population your military can be devised from it.

1.)You probably have better sources then me, but i'll just state what I saw, Apparently in 1250 Milan had a population of 150,000.
2.) Genoa needs to be eaten

1) You mind sourcing? I do have multiple sources and am willing to provide them if requested, but I'm curious on yours.
2) Genova delenda est.

Well, the Novgorod Republic is going to be on Vladimir's number three or four "To Annex" list. Florence would probably be better.

Oh god, not this again?!

I must've missed it.

And I'll need luck, especally since the Man with the Hat is looking west, not east.

Venice might be looking east. And we sort of have an interest in your survival.

What did you say? I am hearing a distinct lack of gold getting put in my coffers by you.

Venice is the one who is paid. Trade for the Trade God, Gold for the Gold Throne!
That being said, there's a chance the creation of a port related to one of the main players in the southern route of the Silk Road might cause a movement in the end-points of the Scythian Road westwards.
And/Or the port could become the staple port for eastern goods into Russia and eastern europe and vice-versa.

Yes, Jon, Novgorod will fall.

I mean, Sviatoslav is already a Vladmiri Prince, appointed less at-will than in recognition of who ruled the roost in the Rus' at the time. Gathering support amongst the Novogorodians will take time, but can be done.

I did not expect it not to, my friend. I did not expect it not to.

The question is how much time, and who after Novgorod shall follow.
