The thing is though, this global depression made the UK suck and everybody is poor and stuff. Ireland, in the other hand, while set back several years due to the depression, has grown it's economy and quality of life. Therefore it is likely that the Ulster(ians?) would want to become part of Ireland to be connected to it.
