It looks good. You'd have a lot of land, and a lot of resources. You could say Vietnam conquered Southeast Asia to spread communism, and then they took a piece of China.
You could have a dictator overthrow the communists, and that would give you a fascist state.

I was thinking that countries voluntarily join a union led by Vietnam who remained stable, including provinces of southeast China. The communist state evolved into basically a fascist one.

That could work too.

You can invade. You'd lose once the Brits actually got there. They're still powerful.

But get Germany and the USA to threaten sanctions and nobody has to get hurt and you don't have to waste precious money rebuilding destroyed things.

There's no way peaceful and prosperous Ireland has or needs or wants a large military. Therefore their military in just ULSTER is likely almost as big as your whole military.
